Hey guys! Here's an attempt at reviving the ol' EOOA Forums!
Just an update:
ExOnOe's Adventure 3 Episode 9 has been released under our noses, I have no idea how I missed it.
It introduces a new character! Also friendly reminder BDW2010 has the next part.
Also, the other huge thing:
ExOnOe's Adventure 1 has a proper remake!
3 years after the release of Episode 1 (good times), it now has a remake! It is modernized (redesigns are ignored), and every two seasons have been mashed into one episode.
So far there is only one episode, but Episode 2 is on the way, and I'm already working on Episode 3! There will likely be a total of 4 episodes. 'till then, we hype!

Hello!

I want to add an item to a list when a clone is clicked, but it is not working. I use a “when this sprite is clicked” block, and clicking the clones triggers most parts of the code attached to that block, like changing values of variables and deleting the clone, but the adding an item to a list part is not happening. I do use costume names to determine what gets added to the list. Is that the problem?

when this sprite clicked
if costume name = 01 then
add 01 to Return Bin
change energy by -1

When I click on a non-clone version of the sprite, all parts of the code work.

Please help. Thank you.

It's unclear exactly how the searcher works, but typically searching a users username doesn't bring back projects by them unless their name is in the instructions.

A muffled sob sounded from someone in the class, and Midoriya jerked his head up. He had forgotten the rest of them had been there for a moment. A sense of emptiness filled him. What would he do now? He had reached his first goal. What was next?
I’ll devote myself to Tomura. He decided. He’s been a good friend to me.
“Didn’t you hear the screaming?” Midoriya snapped at a spiky red-haired guy as he struggled to run towards Kacchan. “Stay back or you’ll die too. I bet you’ll last even less time, but I can limit myself so your death drags out.”

I haven’t had it for long. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was and I just hadn’t noticed. He thought.
“When exactly is he going to show up?” Deku shouted, folding his arms and stalking over to Shigaraki. “I want to go soon. This is going to be boring, just waiting.” He complained.

The blue-haired villain regarded Midoriya out of the corner of his eye. “No.”

When I was little, my older sister was always playing tricks on me. One time, she told me that I had to lick the floor to get a wish granted by the magical carpet monster. Of course, being the naive child that I was, I did it! I licked that floor until my tongue was sore, and all I got was a dirty mouth and some weird looks from my parents.

But I decided to get back at her! I put some itchy powder in her shoes, and she spent all day scratching her feet and trying to figure out why they were so itchy. It was hilarious to see her struggling to figure out what was happening.

I also remember one time when she went to sleep first, so I decided to mess with her. I took her favorite stuffed animal and replaced it with a similar-looking one that had googly eyes. When she woke up the next morning, she was shocked to see that her beloved stuffed animal had been transformed into something a little more, shall we say, comical.

Another prank I remember vividly was when I pranked my older brother. He was addicted to his mobile game and would spend hours on it every day. So, I decided to play a trick on him! I secretly put program (that me and my friend made) onto his phone that would make annoying noises every time he got a new high score. He went crazy and couldn't figure out why his phone was making all these noises. It was hilarious to see his frustration and anger, and even better when he finally realized that I was the one behind it all XD

I will admit that perhaps I took things a bit too far sometimes, but it was all in good fun. Even to this day, we still joke about the various pranks we played on each other as kids. It's a good way to remember the silly moments we shared together before we grew up.

Those were the only two I could find in the list. Besides those, I highly doubt the Scratch Team would allow you to open new tabs or redirect the user to different links. And I also doubt they would allow changing the pen quality, FPS, or allow projects to download files without your permission.

Those are a small fraction of the ideas suggested in that project. There’s no reason to reject all the ideas just because some of them wouldn’t be implemented.

That’s a lot when a bunch of people are on the website, and there’s tons of studios filled with AFD comments and higher potential for spam so they have to go off the forums to check studio and profile and project comments

The Scratch Team doesn't check every single comment created - I'm telling you that developers have a lot of work keeping the website up, they don't have enough time to add AFD fun. That's like me telling you to create five complicated Scratch projects while still posting on the forums the same amount, and also making 300 edits to the wiki everyday. It's not that easy, and it's rather blunt for you to be upset at the ST for not adding AFD things.

As Maximouse has said in a recent thread it requires a single variable to be changed. I’m sure changing one variable would be a large investment risk, especially for a company such as the Scratch Foundation. The amount of money and time required to accomplish such a feat would be rather large because of the given task’s challenging nature.

To be fair maximouse has also said today that a new cat block for high contrast would have to be created and overall high contrast makes the implementation of cat blocks more tricky.

They couldn’t take like two days to prevent the flooding of the forums and overall disruption over the community over the lack of features on a day each year that is usually filled with new features?

If this is a forum flood than the Studio update must have wiped out the scratch earth - there hasn't been barely enough posts to challenge the post volume on other events like the studio update.

Honestly i doubt most scratchers care about no april fools day features depending a high percentage of scratchers use it for educational purposes or just use scratch more casually and dont know/mind how this AFD has no new features.

Besides, if everyone was outraged than that doesn't mean the Scratch Team is bad for implementing no AFD features - that would be the community's fault as nothing should be expected - AFD has been a repeated privilege, not an expectation.

You do realize that closing a topic takes about 30 seconds… programming changes to the Scratch website takes lots of time and money.

I don't know for sure what the “silent filter” is but I've heard from… questionable but trustworthy sources that certain words are auto reported to the ST.

Why do you want to create a class?

Your teacher has to create a class - but they will have to own the class - you can only own a class if you are a teacher who is using for school. Basically, your teacher cannot create it for you, and it's impossible for you to have a class.

This is nothing compared to what would happen if AFD was on the forums. I've probably posted 50+ posts about AFD today, but there's naturally going to be questions about a new feature. Scratch can't just disregard everything if they think there might be a couple questions. That's what forumers are for, to respond to the questions and report them to be closed once resolved.

Thou is stating false.
(This isn't true, there are various cloud variable projects still working, new and old. Certain projects have issues where their cloud variables aren't saving their updates properly, and can be solved by renaming the variable and saving the project, repeating as necessary.)

That's why I made it the way I did. I plan on having it be at least 3 parts so it's easier to manage. We won't start part 2 until September though so you'll have some time to work on other projects.

That's a good idea.

You might have to check the script, but I think we should rig the characters that don't have any voice lines next so we can get those scenes finished. Just a thought, I dunno if it'd speed up the process or not.

Yeah, I was working on Pyro.

I'm pretty sure him and Avalanche are just chasing Bishop in the opening scene, I dunno how much rigging he needs.

I think he'll need the limbs rigged, but the back might be unnecessary.

That's what I was thinking. Avalanche would need the same treatment.
