that is false, while the trending algorithm is indeed commonly abused, projects such as this is still able to get up there without abusing the algorithm (atleast from what I can tell)

If the scores get too large you can add

The number and smaller size inputs you would need to adjust to fit the screen

Yeah, you're idea was on the right track. Make another sprite that has just the area you want to “detect” (and lines up with the map). Then, can use the

set [ghost v] effect to (100)

block to make it invisible, but you can still detect it with

<touching [sprite v] ?>

If the map moves at all (like if it's scrolling) you can use

forever
go to [Map v]
end

This does lag behind one frame, but it shouldn't matter if you're only using it for a map.

An easy way to highlight is to add a set brightness effect block like this

I am currently making a game, and I created a vector sprite, then I convert to bitmap to remove anything beyond the 480x360 border. I opened my game to turbowarp, then I noticed one of my sprites had a weird position. The costume preview was normal, but the costume picture editor screen wasn't. Instead of being centered, it appeared to move 120 px right, and 90 px downwards. It was the same for the scratch editor too. I really don't know what happened, so someone tell me what had happened

The “blindingly bright” is a bit confusing - are you describing the fire, the house, or the trees? I'm assuming it's the trees ahaha so maybe you can put the phrase in front of the fire?

Gallons of rushing water, bursting out of mammoth canons were poured onto the burnt shell, reflecting the light, glimmering and shining as if honouring the place where my grandfather took his final breath, a breath full of hope, a breath full of life, a breath full of love.

I feel like these two sentences are somewhat run-on sentences: maybe you can separate them into different sentences, or use a semicolon in between? For the second one, though, I love the part “a breath full of hope, a breath full of life, a breath full of love” - it's great repetition, and you should keep it even if you do end up shortening those two snippets <3

I especially love how original and immersive your descriptions were. hola, tengo un problema con un proyecto que estoy haciendo. Ahi una parte en la que un sprite cambia de disfraz y derrepente se empieza a laguear el juego incluso con el Turbo mode, no entiendo por que pasa esto, el disfraz al que cambia es un cubo con texto, la unica accion a parte que se realiza es un bloque de repetir hasta que (variable) = (numero) ir a (otro sprite no muy lejano). Wow, I think Element will eventually beat GoK on Scratch 3 runtime (at least for one game). I don’t know how Element found Nd6 on depth 3…

Check extensions would help a lot, but I have to get the TTable working first. The mate evaluations aren’t working. Do they need to be stored with a different depth/horizon?

Edit : I checked the evaluation after Nd6. It was most likely luck (Element eval is +0.53.66… in favor of white)

Perhaps you could make the map in tiles, and the tile which you wish to detect could have a different ID using a “for this sprite only” variable? I would also use custom x and y variables to detect position.

You could have a variable which controls gravity which is inverted when the player touches the ground (from 5 to -5 or something), in addition to making the current gravity, which is something you should already track using platformer scripts, multiplied by -1 to invert it. If you don't know how to do platformer scripts, there are many tutorials out there, griffpatch and otherwise, and I would recommend looking at some of those to get something which works for you.
