Hello! My name is Ozzie. Please use he/they for me, she/her is an absolute no no because I prefer to lean on the male/gender neutral of the gender spectrem. I am also on the Autism spectum. Please use tone tags when talking to me outside of rp. I may not respond as fast as you want me to but please be patient because I am not a robot nor a user without a life or something like that.

letters to ocs - #2
a yume 2024 goal <3

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ ୨୧ ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

dear rose,

words cannot express how much you mean to me in terms of a character. because of you and your pen friends, i was made fun of, but at the same time, an entire fandom creation with you included in it was made because i met one of my closest friends i had in my six years of primary school, and i still keep in contact with her now.

pen idol- the creation that changed my life. seriously though, i am not at all kidding. it all began with school during the pandemic. the virus had slowed down a bit, allowing us to go to school with safety measures in place such as the big plastic boards which were used to shield each desk from one another, and of course, the wearing of masks, which evolved into mask fashion over time, and screening procedures done before we left home for school each day. it was hectic, alright, but a ton of amazing things would not have happened without that not-so dreaded at all pandemic. alright, it was pretty bad, but here we are.

everything started off with pen olympics, with the original four teams- team playful, team elegant, team nice, and team special, forming the acronym ‘p.e.n.s.”. later on, adding that onto my friend and i’s obsession with aikatsu, pen idol was born, and so were new pen teams. although many of the teams reformed, you were one of the ones that stayed in your original pen olympics team, even up until now. has it really been almost four years? cause i find that hard to believe, don’t you?

for a fact, you might not know how significant your story has had on me- mainly because it was right around the time i was writing the pen idol team playful’s journey story, i joined my first ever session of scratch writing camp. not just writing, but because of pen idol, i got into using canva and have been using it ever since. pretty unfortunate that i didn’t have much time back then to type the entirety of the story, although the roleplays kept on going. it was fun trying to write from a younger sister’s perspective too, trying to get to know what you feel- i’m an older sister myself, though i feel overshadowed too. we do have our similarities, hehe. it’s also worth mentioning that i’ve been continuing to write the team playful story for recent swc sessions, using it for dailies and so on.

all of this impact and origin story stuff aside, i would just like to thank you for being there for me which is actually the main reason i decided to write all these letters in the first place. wishing you the best of luck on your idol journey- you’re a fourth year now- and of course, all the best for your friends too. i’ll always have that special feeling about the first pen idol! protagonist of my creation- have i mentioned my obsession with your hairstyle? it’s quite unique and cute at the same time. ah, for once character creators don’t let me down! i hope this letter finds you well, and that you enjoyed reading all about how you came to be as a character of mine. knowing your personality, i’m sure you would.

best wishes,
yume

Yes, yes it is.
This DVD player, to my best guess, was manufactured with DVD-RW compatibility in mind, so… yeah.

Sorry - this topic is not a good fit for this forum section. Please review the Posting Guidelines.
I'm making a Pokemon-based Whack-A-Mole game for a school project. I have a problem, though. The top and middle rows of digletts aren't popping up like the bottom row, which is the correct way. I just wanted to see if there was something wrong with the layering of my sprites.

someone should make a version of the appel editor with all the block-code modification benefits (more rotation options, .5 blocks, multiple end flags etc)
I will eventually, probably after i'm done with 5 step steve
i made a very scuffed version which took like 5 minutes, not the proudest thing i made but its serviceable enough until someone else makes a more polished version
I also want to add/improve features. Some ideas I have so far are:
-moving platforms that the enemies can interact with
-triggers that can be activated multiple times, and each time activates one loop of an object (crushers crushing, burthas flipping, blueplatforms moving, etc.)
-more burtha functionality (being able to move them upwards)
-being able to modify a spring's downwards velocity (how is this not a thing already griffpatch?)
-a trigger that changes the HUE of a level when you touch it
-more things can have groups attached to them(normal blocks, apples, red apple, maybe a new burtha that acts normally with groups)
-a more in-depth explanation of what blocks and commands do

and finally…
-a system that allows you to edit each quarter of a block individually(like mini blocks in Just a Level Editor), allowing for infinitely more customization
my aim is to create a level editor with all the block-code modification shenanigans, but still have the level codes be compatible with base appel
that should be pretty easy, I think you can do it.
are there any block-code-editing tricks i missed in my scuffed editor thingy
only that instead of using the ‘add blank level’ block for making a new level you could do this(the word space represents pressing the spacebar because it's hard to distinguish between “1” and “1 ”):
replace item (12) of [levels v] with (join (join (join (join (temp) [space]) (join [2space] (join ((temp) * (3)) [space]))) (join [1space] (join (((answer) * (temp)) - ((temp) * (3))) [spacespace]))) (join (join [1space] (join ((answer) * (temp)) [spacespacespacespace])) [0space0]))
edit: highlight a word and press shift and the right arrow to see the whole thing lol
this would make it so you don't have to click the green flag when making a new level
you can also split it up into multiple blocks if you (for some reason) don't want the super long join chain.
just do
replace item (12) of [levels v] with (temp)
and then a long chain of
replace item (12) of [levels v] with (join (item (12) of [levels v] :: list) [the next part of the code])

(The Three Little Pigs, but it’s existentialist horror, hooray! xD)

Once upon a time, there were three pigs, a trio of brothers who set out into the world to leave their mark upon it. However, the world was a vast place, making the three pigs seem extraordinarily little in comparison. To shelter themselves from the terrifying unknown, the three pigs each decided they must first build a house.
The first little pig built a house out of straw. It was hastily-assembled and not intended to last. “Why bother with effort,” he thought, “when in the end, we all fade into nothingness? We must spend our time achieving happiness in the moment, not laboring in pursuit of efforts that will ultimately be futile!”
This pig lived his life one day at a time, never thinking far ahead. He joked, he sang, he danced, he laughed at others’ entertainment. He jumped from one pursuit to the next, not sticking to any one thing long enough to accomplish anything of note. It was true, that he felt transitory happiness, which transcended it all, if for but a moment. However, in the lull between one hedonistic activity and the next, or late at night, when he lay awake in his bed of straw, he couldn’t shake the sense of unfulfillment hanging over him. “Nothing I’ve done has been of worth,” he worried. “Is this really all there is?”
When the wolf came to blow his house down in a single breath, the pig had nothing left to defend himself. He had never bothered to prolong the end, after all. He disappeared from the world as the remains of his straw house were scattered by the wind, the fragility of his home mirroring the fragility of his existence. His memory quickly was forgotten.
The second little pig built a house out of sticks. It wasn’t the strongest, but it felt like the right thing to do. “Sticks are the most righteous material to use,” he nodded solemnly. “It does no one any harm to build a house of sticks, and a pig needs nothing but his own trotters to construct it. Through kindness and hard work, I will live a worthwhile life.”
This pig was active in his community, always being there to help others, even at his own expense.
The third pig, grappling with the absurdity of existence, labored tirelessly to build a house of bricks. “Perhaps resilience is the key,” he pondered, “But even then, can we ever truly escape our inevitable demise?” Despite his efforts, however, the relentless march of time wore down his fortress until it too succumbed to the ravages of entropy.
And so, as the wolf of existential dread bore down upon them, each pig's futile struggle against the void was laid bare. Their houses crumbled, their hopes shattered, and in the end, their memories were wiped into oblivion, lost to the vast expanse of nothingness that awaited them all.
In the darkness of their final moments, the pigs realized the true horror of their existence: that in a universe devoid of meaning, their efforts were ultimately meaningless, their struggles insignificant, and their lives fleeting whispers in the void. The first pig, fearing the futility of life, constructed a house of straw. “Why bother with effort?” he thought, “In the end, we all fade into nothingness.” But the fragility of his home mirrored the fragility of his existence, and it was easily destroyed by the slightest breeze.

The second pig, plagued by doubt and uncertainty, fashioned a house of sticks. “What's the point of strength?” he mused, “In the grand scheme of things, we're all insignificant.” Yet, his feeble attempt at security crumbled at the first sign of adversity, leaving him vulnerable to the whims of fate.

After the clock struck midnight, it was as if the whole world changed- I was viewing the world from a new perspective. Beyond the hidden horizons, new ends began to glow. It was like a fairy tale, you know? At least up until that point. I'm sure you've all heard about the story of Cinderella and how she ends up finding her true love with the glass slipper, and all the fun lovey dovey stuff. But here, today, I'm going to be sharing my story. I can almost 100% guarantee you that you've never heard one like the before. So, I encourage you to stick around until the very end - who knows, maybe you'll learn a thing or two!

To start off, I'll give you a bit of my personality (before we get into the story that is!). If you can't already tell, I'm more onto the rambly side of things - once I start talking, you can expect me to keep talking for at least the next hour, and that's just the minimum amount. I would say that I have a lot of interesting things to say because people normally confide in my.. which I'd say is quite ironic, you know? Why would you want to tell your deepest, darkest secrets to somehow who doesn't even know how to keep their mouth closed for a minute? I mean, please come! I'm really not complaining since I love knowing what's happening all around me. Would you look at this, I was supposed to introduce myself but here I am, once again, rambling on about something completely unrelated.

Anyways, let's go back to where this story begins. CInderella, gets her wish fulfilled by the fairy godmother. After the clock strikes twelve, she hurries back home - all components of her outfit turning back into what they were before. This does make me question why and how the glass slipper remained a glass slipper even after the clock striked midnight, but I suppose that's a discussion for another time. Perhaps when we have more time to spare. The very next day, the prince came along and who would've though, the slipper fit perfectly! Overjoyed, Cinderella road away into the horizon with her newfound lover.. and we, well we were left all alone. And that is where my story begins.

Before continuing let me just get a sip of water. If you can't tell, my throat is completely parched after having to speak this much. This seems much better now. Hmm.. where was I? Right, the start of my story. Well, shortly after Cinderella road off we were left alone to our own defenses. Up until this point Cinderella has protected us from that very nasty cat, but it seemed like she just forgot about us. I do understand that we were probably a second thought to her, but the least she could do for us was to bring us along. As mice, we were just left alone, and that's not such a pleasant thing when you have the step sisters lying out and about everywhere. And so it continued that way, until one day, there was a very stern knock at the door…

The three pigs freeze in shock as the wolf comes tumbling down the chimney, flinching away as the hot water hits their hides.
They’d been expecting this of course, Bob had said that it would be the only way in and to keep it nice and warm, but they hadn’t anticipated what they would do once it happened.
The wolf was passed out, the pool of water gathering beneath him and the pot rolling away.
“Bob, what should we do with the wolf?” Joe asks, poking at the wolf with a stick.
Bob blinks at his brother. “Why do I have to figure that out; I’ve kept us safe in my house!”
“Oh, but you’re obviously the smartest, so tell us, what do we do with the wolf?” Sam joins in.
“Well…” Bob starts, “We could see why he wanted to get not our houses or eat us. You know, while we have him vulnerable.”
His brothers stare at him in disbelief.
“You want us to do what?” Joe spits out. “You, you want us to talk to the guy? No, no, no. Nope. I’m out of here. You are not going to drag me into your schemes.”
He stomps out of the house and the house shakes when he slams the door.
Sam’s eyes flit between the door and the wolf on the ground, a hoof in his mouth as he nervously chews on it.
“Sam, you said I was the smartest. Trust me on this? For once?” Bob pleads, not wanting to face the wolf alone.
Sam doesn’t meet Bob’s eyes. “Sorry dude, I don’t think this is one of your better ideas. I just got my house blown down; I can’t risk anything else happening.”
Bob is left alone in his house, apart from the wolf lying on his living room floor.
“Well then…” Bob says to himself, “What are we going to do about this?”
After examining the situation and carefully stepping around the wolf a few times, he sits down in his couch, letting his legs rest.
Bob will just have to tie the wolf up. He can’t risk having the wolf wake up and run around the place. Especially if he gets up at night, when Bob’s asleep. He shivers at that thought.
He grabs some rope out of his toolbox and proceeds to wrap it around the wolf, making sure he double knots everything and the rope is secure. Bob debates whether to try cleaning up the spilled water, ultimately deciding to do so, so that the water won’t sit for too long.
Bob had just finished grabbing a handful of towels and was starting to place them down around the wolf, when a violent jerk throws him off.
The wolf is thrashing and clawing at his bonds unsuccessfully.
“What did you do to me?” he demands, his voice raspy and low.
Bob chuckles nervously, backing away with towels in between his hooves.
“I’ll let you know everything, but could you promise to not eat me?”

“Why would I eat you?”

As Rapunzel gazed out the window, she saw that the tower was surrounded by a vast, dense forest. The tower stood tall among the trees, visible from miles away. The forest was dense and dark, and there were no paths or roads leading to the tower. Rapunzel knew that she was trapped.

She spent her days looking out the window, dreaming of the day she would escape from her tower. But as the days passed, she realized that escape would be difficult. The tower had been built to keep her safe, but she felt like a prisoner.

Despite her situation, Rapunzel remained hopeful. She spent her time singing and talking to the birds that flew by her window. She even made a friend, a small bird named Pascal. Pascal was loyal and playful, and he kept her company in the tower.

Over time, Rapunzel also discovered that she had a beautiful singing voice. Her voice could carry for miles, and it was said that anyone who heard her sing would feel at peace. Rapunzel began singing for the people of the surrounding villages, hoping that one day, someone would rescue her.

But as she sang, Rapunzel couldn't shake the feeling that she was destined to spend the rest of her life in the tower. She began to feel hopeless and alone, and she longed for the sensation of grass beneath her feet and the wind in her hair.

One day, a handsome prince traveled to the tower, hoping to free Rapunzel from her confinement. He had heard Rapunzel's beautiful singing voice, and he was determined to save her. Rapunzel was overjoyed to see the prince, and she knew that her prayers had finally been answered.

The prince climbed the tower, using Rapunzel's hair as a rope to reach the top. Rapunzel greeted him with tears in her eyes, and the prince swept her into his arms. Rapunzel was finally free.
As Rapunzel stepped out of the tower for the first time in her life, she felt the sun on her face and felt a sense of freedom that she had never known before. She and the prince walked hand in hand through the forest, and the animals of the forest seemed to come alive at the sound of her voice.

Rapunzel sang as she walked, and she could sense that her voice was healing the sick and bringing joy to the people. She never knew that her singing was so powerful, and she felt a sense of responsibility to use her gift for good.

The prince and Rapunzel soon arrived at a small village, and Rapunzel was amazed by all that she saw. There were markets filled with colorful fruits and vegetables, shops selling wares of all kinds, and people going about their daily lives. Rapunzel had never seen so many people in one place before, and she was awestruck by the beauty of the world outside the tower.

The prince introduced Rapunzel to the villagers, and they were all amazed by her beauty and her singing voice. They offered her gifts of food and spices, and welcomed her to the village with open arms. Rapunzel was overwhelmed by the kindness of the people, and she felt a deep sense of belonging in the village.

It's due to improper escaping of apostrophes. What the user would have typed in that case was “Don't copy my project's!” but due to some conversions and whatnot over time it was eventually improperly converted to what you see there. Basically ' is a way of “escaping” or writing an apostrophe so it doesn't get interpreted as HTML code.

It’s not that dumb. It makes a lot of sense, seeing as someone can just put whatever picture they want in there

The Princess Who Would Not Be Given Away
A Daily for March 28, 2024
502 words

When I was a child, I read all the fairytales, telling of the perfect princesses who did the perfect things and found their perfect match. They sat and they waited and then along came someone to marry them - perhaps a prince, perhaps a pure-hearted boy, or perhaps someone who lies and tricks, but is apparently fine anyways. And then there was me. Sitting on the top of a glass hill with three golden apples in my lap, day in and day out, watching as all those oafs attempted the impossible task of riding a horse up the hill. Stupid.

Finally, one of them made his way to the top. So now I am to marry him. Of course. After all, he did the ridiculous task, so obviously he must be worthy of my hand and half of my kingdom. Well, too bad. Now that I’m not stuck on that hill, I can finally do something with my life. Because, you see, I don’t care that he did it. Good effort and all. Nice horses and armor. But that doesn’t make him the right man for me. Honestly, I don’t want to marry yet. Maybe not ever. So that’s why I’m going to do this. Today.

I close my diary and stretch my arms above my head. My wedding is tomorrow. They planned it and prepped it and rushed around fussing. They made my dress. They prepared the orchestra. Did they ask me any of my opinions about my wedding? No. But it doesn’t matter anyways. I get out of my cozy bed and pick up the box that was dropped off last night. Early wedding present they thought. In a way, I suppose that it is.

I open it, carefully lining everything up on my bed. Then I get started. Dressing in the simple, comfortable commoner’s clothing. Packing the things I need from my room in the bag. Plaiting my hair into a messy braid down my back, leaving strands to hang around my face. Finally, I pull on my boots and look around the room. I’ve barely spent any time here - just the nights, sleeping between the rides to and from the glass hill. It was never home, and now it’s time to go. I slip into the servants stairway, scurrying quickly down and out of the palace, until I reach the glass hill.

She’s waiting for me there. I smile when I see her. All of those oafs trying to climb it on their horses, while she and I signed to each other - her sitting in her tree, me on my hill. I haven’t had a lot of time for learning in my life - by the time I was 12 years old, I was stuck on that hill - but that was plenty of time to learn how to sign. It proved to be a useful skill. She hops out of her tree when she sees me, grinning. Time for some new adventures.

Yeah, they removed project thumbnails (or at least unshared ones) and assets uploading for image hosting.
why??
It’s probably a safety measure
that is so dumb and annoying. maybe someone did something though
It’s not that dumb. It makes a lot of sense, seeing as someone can just put whatever picture they want in there

Guys. Here's a project idea: OC Alphabet. Basically, just sort your OCs alphabetically and see which letters you don't have.
I would, but I only have 2 characters who are objects.

Why are people treating this like a huge album announcement? We already knew he was going to make another one. We didn’t get a title or cover or tracklist. Really the only thing is the confirmation that it’s coming out this year, which was the expected release date

Why is FNaF Banned like every 8 year old knows what it is so why is it banned in the first place, like its not like it give 8 year old gets nightmares from it like Social Media made it a viral meme. And dont say “its scary and it breaks our guidlines” because sure it dose but every 8 year old finds it funny and PLUS the jumpscares are not even scary. So Scratch Team why did you ban it?

13 here, I personally love FNaF, but when I was like 10 I was terrified of it.

This weekend I will definitely have time to work on some music! Here is my to do list

Once upon a time

Maybe a ruins/first area theme

At least one boss/miniboss theme

I'm still needing suggestions for names, so any would be appreciated!
Can you make Sans a new character theme? (That has like hints of sans. in it?) And the name for it could be Snes The Skele or somethin'. (I spelled Sans like that on purpose. Most people would spell it as Snas, but I think it's funnier to spell it as Snes-)
Did ya know that sans name in spanish is SINS which makes so much sense Yknow the SINS CRAWLING ON YOUR BACK also you sould name sans sanZzz

8.4MB sounds like an unusually big vector file - is it a vector image you are trying to upload something that cannot be replicated in the current Scratch editor? If it uses things that the current Scratch 3.0 editor does not have (e.g. textures, specialized shapes, subpaths), then more likely than not, the editor is going to have a brainfart moment and crash.

may or may not have found this out the hard way when I used to do QC testing on the Scratch editor back then (ಠ‿ಠ)
8.4 MB is the entire file with about 100 or more costumes
For clarification: Is this a Scratch sb3 files with a singular sprite that has 100 costumes?

Pretty much. There are over 100 costumes with high detail vector assets
Having 100 costumes into a single sprite is not a good idea. It would be best to split up the dump between multiple sprites instead of one sprite, otherwise the editor would feel rather rather stressed trying to load a sprite that's very large.

If you absolutely have to have everything in one sprite, I would recommend to at least regularly export the sprite file and have multiple copies of it in case of a project crash.

Once upon a time, in a land far far away… the story isn't over yet! If you've ever wondered what happened to Cinderella's mice after the ball, or what happened to Oz after Dorothy left, now's your chance to continue the story and find out! Write 500 words playing off a familiar fairytale or children's classic for 400 points, and a bonus 100 for sharing.
I did the princess and the pea!

In a kingdom far away, a princess and a prince lived happily together. They had a few kids, and were training them up to be respectible princes and princesses themselves. Whenever the young children would ask about their parents, they would tell the story of how the mother detected a pea beneath a massive amount of matresses. They would all laugh, and wave it off as a tall tale, meant to make their story sound more exciting. However, every week, the princess would walk down to the local museuem and look at a tiny pea, which was hard. One day, the queen of the realm happened to be walking in the same museuem as the princess. Seeing the princess looking at the little pea, she was confused. “Why do you still look at such a little pea, my preisous princess?”
“To remind me where it all began. This wonderful life of love and joy. I wouldn't be here without this little pea. I mean, I know you were just testing me, your majesty, but still, it started it all.” the princess replied.
The queen smiled at this statement. “You have a good heart. You are a worthy canadate for the crown. Which is good…your time will come very soon.”
The princess looked up, startled. “The crown? You majesty, I'm still so young…you're still young….I don't think I'm ready!” she said, alarmed.
“Calm down. You'll be fine. You're going to be a great leader. And it's not your time yet. But it will be soon. I think we need to properly prepare that for you, the way the queen before me prepared me, the queen before her prepared her, and so on. The queens in this kingdom have a unique training process that no one, not even our husbands know. Just as a king needs to be ready to lead their people, a queen has too to. We may not lead the military, we may not be the head of the country, but we are the voice of our people. We are the advovates for our people they don't even know about. The pea? The pea was just the beginning, just the first test. Normally, other people don't find out about this, but this time word slipped out. No…the true test is just now beginning. Come now princess. Let's train you to be the best queen this country has ever had.” the queen said, offering her hand out to the princess.
The princess accepted the hand, placing her own hand in the queens.

A few months later

Grand music played at the former prince and princess walked down the alse, hand in hand, ready to accept their crowns. The former rulers smiled at the two. Eventually, the two newest rulers arrived to the stage, and each accepting their crown in turn. The rose, greeting their subjects and queen and king for the first time, and the subjects cheered their names, fully celebrating their new rulers. The new queen met the eyes of the former queen, and shared a smile. No longer was the new queen scared of ruling. She knew she was trained by the best line of royals. She also knew her loyal mentor would be by her side for the first little bit, to make sure she led her people with wisdom and with kindness.

As your signature indicates, April Fools' day is a privilege. The lack of them specifically allowing it should be interpreted as them not allowing it at all. After the past few years it is clear that they aren't super happy about the idea of April Fools' Day since it has gotten out of hand and massively increased the workload of an already thinly stretched moderation team. As for why they haven't said anything, I can't say for sure, but it might be the reason you indicate (as backlash also adds to the moderation work). Or they might not have made a decision yet.

ATTENTION! This is a dupe exploit found by me ACCIDENTALLY for Paper Minecraft:
Create a survival world or whatever. After that, read down here ↓↓↓
You need: 1 chest, 1 crafting table, any item of any amount
1. Place down the chest and the crafting table
2. Open the chest
3. Put the item on the third row, on any slot of the row.
4. Exit the chest
5. Name the chest (you can name it anything)
6. Open the crafting table

And there you go! If you want to repeat this glitch, do the following:
1. Place any other items you want in the third row (if you want to)
2. Rename the chest
3. Open the crafting table

Note: If you put the item in the first slot of the second row, the duped item will appear in the crafted item slot.
