Someone stated that there was a bug where project IDs over 970 million took a very long time to index, and I remember a topic stating if a project was renamed it would not update until the project was reshared.

It would report which layer the sprite is at, it looks like this:

In case you're wondering, in order to see how many layers the project has in a WHOLE, look at how many sprites the project has :D

If the layer returns as 1, you are in the front.

If you have 10 sprites, if the layer reporter returns as 10. It's in the back.

first off, stingray and crim, you guys are the best cos that i could have chosen. yes, there were bumps along the way and thank you for being patient with me as i tried figuring things out. but still, we created an amazing cabin experience! i love how we were able to take my little silly idea with an swc reference as a ruler and make it into something to help out the campers. thanks for joining me this session and i love you two so much <33

secondly, i never got around to the cabin blurb a couple of days ago and honestly i’m not quite sure what to do for it, though we could probably summarize how we fought writing struggles and also make it similar to the cabin atmosphere. i’m not in the right headspace to do that tonight, but i can probably get a draft for it tomorrow

Just going to start off by saying that your outline is so very Recca, and to be honest, I love that.

Also, why does the intro sort of remind me of Sherlock? “Not a psychopath. A serial killer.”

Anyway, critique now! So I really loved this piece, and I found it to be excellent entertainment. The characters are just so real and funny, and it’s almost like they could actually exist in real life. They had so much (and forgive me for using this to describe characters, but my brain just isn’t really working at the moment) character, and I love that about your writing.

As for some suggestions, for a lot of parts in the middle, you didn’t have dialogue tags, so I wasn’t really sure who was speaking at which time, which made it pretty confusing at times and a little harder to follow. It could really be as simple as just saying “(someone) said,” nothing too fancy, because you don’t need to detract from the actual dialogue. Just adding that would help to keep the reader a little more focused on the story.

Obviously in your piece, there’s also a lot of dialogue (which, of course, I do love), so my second suggestion would just be to break it up a bit more. Whether it be with dialogue tags, punctuating words by actions (say, describing gestures, or someone standing up as they speak), or just a bit of description (in a sort of mystery, this could definitely be good), or anything else, just adding something in between them could make it read more like a story and less like a script, unless that was what you were going for.

That’s about all I can think of, to be honest, since this was such a fun read, and my goodness, from the way you made it sound, it was like you thought it wasn’t good at all. Well, anyway, I most certainly enjoyed it, at least.

Scratch doesn't provide a built-in way to get from a user ID to a username, so any service that provides that will have to scrape users. SUI is definitely the biggest service that does that.
(ScratchDB also exists, but it doesn't allow going from user ID to a username.)

I'm making a top-down camera-styled game that I can't figure out how to make the movement in. I could make it point-and click, but that leads to a lot of bugs, most of which I can't fix. Besides, WASD/arrow key movement is better in my opinion. I'm not looking for something that lets the player move a certain amount in a certain direction each time a key is pressed, I would like a script that keeps the player in motion while the key is held down. Physics such as acceleration and gradually slowing down when the key is released aren't neccecary, but would be appreciated. If needed, I can provide a link to what I have as the layout of the first room. Remember, this is a top-down game, so I need there to be no gravity effects in the movement (this might seem obvious but i've gotten a lot of recommendations for regular platformer movement that use gravity and to be honest, I don't understand huge clumps of code so I wasn't able to simply find the gravity effect and remove it).

ngl I've gotta agree. ive only got a few rap artists in my top 200, and I think tom macdonald is one of the few that just manages to make it. Imagine Dragons and Taylor Swift are definitely my top 3 artists of all time tho

Look I know I have made another form about that but if you make a poll system then the scratch team can know what to fix on scratch and also this allows the scratch team to know what the users want from other updates so that weighs the scratch team doesn’t have backlash, and it would also be refreshing for us to have a word because they always make these events scratch even though I like them. I think we should be focusing on other things like how to improve scratch.

First of all, the App Store guidelines do not block Scratch from making an iOS/iPadOS app. That was changed a while ago, and you can find all sorts of apps that allow coding in much more powerful languages.

There's no real reason why they haven't done this already other than it's not their priority. The ST could easily do this if they wanted. They probably want to do it. It just isn't a priority for them.

Read this I beg of you this is so annoying to look at just read this and get over it. The Scratch Team could make an iOS/iPadOS app at almost any time they wanted, they just need the time to do so which I'm pretty sure they do considering they can update Scratch to remove exploits in enough time where little to no one is affected.

Yeah, this thread is kind of going in circles. There's no technical or legal reason why they can't do it, they just haven't gotten around to it.

I personally think ST just doesn’t care, as Scratch is also available on the Mac App Store, plus it would be too much effort regarding how the website works just fine.

This could be true, if the website DID work fine. (It doesn't.) The website has multiple issues on mobile devices, such as worse performance and broken hitboxes for the UI. There is also no support for multitouch which could be included with all versions of the client if they made a iOS oriented client.
