block? That only allows for you to pick one item from list. How do I make it pick multiple or all?
For example, let's say I want to detect if the item a player has any of these items from a list, how do I make it detect that without using a bunch of or blocks? Like this:

I think a good delay time would be anything less than like 0.3 seconds depending on how many frames you want to make

It is quite odd how you ban people immediately without question (even for something not harmful, like “suspected sharing of an account” and then the best you can offer for a appeal is multiple weeks.) I understand that the scratch team is small and a nonprofit, but I still think that it does not make much sense. Best regards.

Firstly, I'm going to say how much I love your use of white space. As you may or may not have gathered, I love it when people use white space creatively. Really makes me happy. And the fact that you utilized it in yours made it much more exciting to read. As well as this, I love how much personality comes through in your piece, and through this, there's a lot of character in it. I also love your description and word choice that helps the reader to picture the scene playing out in their head.

Alright, onto the critique now!

So while reading this, I felt like parts of it were a little bit…clichéd. Of course, I know that they could very well be unsolvable, given the plot of your story, but I think that perhaps even slight changes could make this more original and refreshing to read. It doesn't have to be an entirely new storyline or anything like that, and you definitely shouldn't be getting into the mindset of “every cliché is bad, and I therefore must remove them all for those reasons”, because the truth is that they aren't. What I do think, though, could be valuable to your story would be to put a new spin on them, reword, make them just a little bit more different to stand out.

A couple of these places that could do with a few edits to make them more original:

I seemed to have collapsed to the floor as the darkness became darker, my thoughts seemed to disintegrate. That was when all consciousness I had was gone…

For this, perhaps using some figurative language here could help to differentiate it from the common “and then everything around me faded to black as I found myself in the dream world”-type thing. I like the idea of the thoughts dissipating — can you build on that?

Where am I? Why am I here? What happened to me?

For this, it could just be a matter of going on with the description. I know you talk about how the place looks in the piece, all white and such, but maybe you could show the narrator, say, turning over a white ceramic bowl on a shelf, wondering about the story behind it. Or maybe they're walking around in the bright white area as sweat drips from their face, trying to find any kind of exit. For this, it's not that it needs to be replaced, just that I think showing it would be far more valuable to your piece.

Out of the blue, the man got body slammed onto the floor, standing in his place was a boy around my age, a golden aura emitting from him. My saviour.

A trope that can be quite common is one of the male characters coming to save the clueless, helpless protagonist, particularly if they're female, as I'm sure you'd probably know from any fairy tales and such you might have read. I feel like this line sort of shows that, and if that's what you want, sure, go ahead! My one suggestion would be that instead of simply glorifying the boy, he and the narrator could, say, share a glance wondering how you both have gotten here, or make eye contact with the narrator and then nod, the narrator filling with adrenaline as they know what's going to happen.

I know this is kinda off topic (If there's a move forum, could someone link me to it), but I find the coincidences between the dark knight and the crow to be very unsettling. heath ledgers joker and Brandon lees crow have many similarities, such as aesthetics, which aren't that weird, considering the joker look could very easily be inspired by the crow. but the deaths of both the actors are very similar. they both died during the filming of the movies, both died at the same age. anyway, I just wanted to point it out.

THIS IS NOT MY PROJECT I'm begging you, Everyone else uses tomicool's engine for a Sonic fan game and it's getting repetitive, if this project gets featured it could inspire people to make a Sonic game from another engine that they can actually edit easily and not just remix and reskin the sonic sprite and call it a day, I already got this proposed in your studio for projects to get featured BUT I knew you would ignore it and go about your day

i'd say partial support because i do think it's kind of odd that the gdpr profiles are even there. that said, it might be that way for a reason. i haven't studied up on it in a while, but it is entirely possible that with the way the eu worded it or something, gdpr accounts have to be visible but censored on scratch in compliance with the gdpr laws.

on an unrelated note, i took a course online once briefly explaining how gdpr works. i gotta say, the eu absolutely nailed it. it's an amazing, wonderful system to remove oneself from the internet and keep everyone's data safe, and unfortunately only the eu gets it. (or any outside countries/states/provinces/whatever that want to try to do roughly the same thing, like for example california's online privacy laws.) that said, i hear it's incredibly obnoxious for those who actually make the websites, since they have to work around it. good for the consumer, bad for the seller.

This should go in Help with Scripts, as its a question regarding code, but to answer your question this would require encoding and decoding of a cloud variables to send a player's username to other players, so they can see them. This posts explains how to encode and decode cloud variables.

Making the blocks a different color

To make a block a different color, you can add 2 double colons and add the block type or hex code. There are 11 block types in the Scratch Forums. Motion, looks, sound, pen, events, control, sensing, operators, variables, list, and more blocks.

Adding Blocks Inside Another Block

If you are adding another block inside a block, there are a few different things you'll need to do.
To make a regular block, just type any string that doesn't include the characters "“, ”<“, ”>“, ”{“, ”}“, ”(“, and ”)" inside the Scratchblocks tag.

To make a reporter block inside another block, use the parenthesis, or “(” and “)”.

To make a boolean block inside another block, use the less than and greater than signs, or “<” and “>”.

This is an input where you can type anything inside the editor.

If you'd like to make a dropdown menu instead of an input, add a space then a v at the end of the input.

This creates a dropdown menu just by adding a space and a v like " v".


Colors can also be added to these blocks. The colors just need to be in between the characters. If it's just an input, it will always become white, no matter what. If it's a dropdown menu, it will automatically become slightly darker than the main block that's holding it. Also, blocks inside a block can be a different color than the main block that contains it.

Note: It isn't possible to wrap text around brackets for some reason. So instead of “(bracket) Hello! (bracket)”, it will just look like “Hello!”. So everytime you see (bracket), just take note that (bracket) is replacing the bracket.

It is possible to change the color of the input.
A different colored boolean inside a different colored block.
To add a color to an input like the blocks in Sensing, you'll just need to put the hex code inside the input. This time, make sure there are no double colons.
The input is now a different color.
