Try using a list!
Now, scratch dose not offer a “cloud list”, but people have made engines to do that. They work by encoding words and letters into numbers which go to a cloud variable, and then decoding them on the other computer.
Hope this helps, good luck with your game, it sounds awesome!

You can also use a variable for numbers and things that you see in games that doesn't show a variable, but a costume. You can search up tutorials of how to do it. @Griffpatch has some tutorials.
Yes, I know, but if I want to use a slider, what can I do?
Thank you

thank you very much for the support ill be buying a new computer later It might be because of different operating systems, since the cursor is black on macOS and white on Windows on default. You can change that in the settings but that isn't related to Scratch.

If you want to selfhost, Here is a handy link to the power consumption of the RPi.i wish i could get a raspberry pi and setup cloudflared on it, self hosting is hard on only 1 pc snip
Nice thing about RPi's is that they are very low in power consumption.

Hello! It's great that you want to help out other Scratchers. However, I think we have enough guides in the forums at the moment. Please feel free to welcome new Scratchers on the group welcoming topic or on individual topics created by New Scratchers.
Other places that can always use more helpful Scratchers like you, are the "Help With Scripts“ and ”Questions About Scratch" areas - please use them as designed, by responding to topics created by folks with problems to solve
Finally, a really good place for Scratch guides is the Scratch Wiki - check it out and see if it's something you might like to work on. They have a number of guides - and great organization.

Hi Scratch team
I have a suggestion. Could you make a block which makes variables change the color? For example:
It would be very useful. For example, you are making a game which has a pink backdrop. An orange variable would be a little bit strange, so I would like to have this block, to change the variable color into purple.
Did you understand? If you don't, post a comment here and I will be happy to explain it!
Thank you

That's a list block - until you create a list you don't see those blocks. How do I use that add to highscore block(dark orange)and how to add it?
Note that will still not help other users see the highscore since only cloud variables are seen by others.

I know that, but MY bot can use Python to work with the user more detailed, and, for example, it can answer more intresting questions like “Let's do a F4F” “AI” can be created as simple as a list with a lot of if this than that…

Thank you so much! I forgot to add the not to the move -0.5 block as well, now it works great! The problem is you're only comparing the direction of the ray. The direction of the ray is relative to the direction of the player, so to get less warped walls, you have to change this:add ((distance to (player v)) * ([cos v] of (direction))) to [dist v]to this:add ((distance to (player v)) * ([cos v] of ((direction) - ([direction v] of (player v))))) to [dist v]This should fix the warping, hope this helps!
Edit: the reason why it's still slightly warped is because you're usingmove (5) stepsThis is quite a big step, and trades accuracy for rendering speed. You can keep it at 5 steps, or lower it to 2 or 3 for less warping.

kindda like this one beterwe already have the script the ultimate hoodie's depiction of scene one:
Scene 1: Scratch cat lives in a small forest and he wants to move somewhere else because he is bored in the forest. Then he makes a rocket and he flies to the unknown. Then he is at the South Pole.
I kind of like it. but too much Is happening. here's my idea:
Scene one: Pitch black. nothing for the first few seconds. then the title of the scratch cat movie shows. then, the black screen and the title fade, as we set on a magnificent town. but this view wont last long. as for suddenly the camera flies toward the streets. as we witness TERA, the main villain of the story, riding what appears to be riding a 200 mph convertible that is purple. as tera begins throwingchange [ghost] effect by (1000000000000000000000)at SCRATCH, the main hero of the story, who is running faster than usan bolt. this is no surprise, as cats are very fast.
TERA: GET BACK HERE OLD SCRATCHY!
suddenly, time freezes. and we hear the voice of scratch cat
SCRATCH: I bet you weren't expecting this were you?
SCRATCH: let me introduce myself. hi. my name is Scratch cat. I'm the orange one running away.
Thats tera. and she is the one chasing me on a convertible throwing blocks that could k1ll me. but to understand how we got here, we need to go back in time. to understand what happened.
Black shows again. then one second later a white text shows the words “One month earlier”
SCRATCH: it all started one month ago…
END SCENE

mostly-support using URLs to look at the feature it looks cool and useful, my only problem is it can crash your page if you try it on a project with millions of views.
Although, ST could just create a warning that it might lag for extremely famous projects.

Completely get the fact that there are easy workarounds to lots of things proposed, but a lot of people - especially young children - that aren't aware of the forums would have some trouble finding workarounds. You think it'd be easy, but even I had trouble working it out. I may just lack intellect but I'm no less smart than young children and let me tell you, a heck of a lot of people are going to have trouble with it. These would be so easy to code in for 4.0 and hopefully the team listen, it's really up to us to spread awareness. Anyway my time is pretty cramped so I'll go. Bye!

hey! seems like i am the only person who hasn't got his solo top 1 demon in the top 3. lets change this.
my demon will be (obviously) 1400 blocks long, will have: invisible straight fly and invisible frame perfects.
this shouldn't take a long time, so, get ready.
edit: it will take a long time

After Rb8 white can play Qa4 to delay the sequence (the game would have continued with Ne5, although Element’s evaluation shows -0.85 <0.85 centipawns in favor of black> on a 4+8 search when Element selected Nd6. This is probably because of Nxd4 after Qb3 Rb8 Qa4)Wow, I think Element will eventually beat GoK on Scratch 3 runtime (at least for one game). I don’t know how Element found Nd6 on depth 3…*snip**snip*.*snip* birdracerthree I think you have to follow me, so I can make you member…
Done!
Element 3+8 was clearly leading against GoK in this S3 game, after two search-horizon-related blunders by GoK: https://lichess.org/study/v3EKTlR2
Check extensions would help a lot, but I have to get the TTable working first. The mate evaluations aren’t working. Do they need to be stored with a different depth/horizon?
Edit : I checked the evaluation after Nd6. It was most likely luck (Element eval is +0.53.66… in favor of white)
Thanks, yes you are right, it is always good to verify not only the move but also the associated evaluation. So I am a bit relieved Because the capture of the bishop happens only 4 moves after Nd6 and should be seen at ply3 due to quiescence, but GoK only sees it at ply5 resp. 7 seconds after Nd6. There must be an alternative sequence that takes longer until it fails.
There is no TT storing in Element’s quiescence.
OK, two more GoK vs. Element games in the S3 study. I finally switched back to conservative LMR for S3 as well, and it showed immediately in chapter 55, which GoK played “only” on Medium: https://lichess.org/study/v3EKTlR2/Aaler1Yz

Fixed scroll lock when I realized that it was because the end flag was too close to the start (in terms of x position.) Also, I changed the encoded boolean statement to ((X AND NOT X) OR X) IMPLIES ((X AND NOT X) AND X). So this is my fixed and actual first level in this: Hi there. I just made one level right now, and it is my first one in this. Try it out and comment if you liked it. (Spoiler: I encoded the boolean statement (X AND NOT X) into this level, which is a contradiction. Can't make things like these without adding some math or logic.)

I mean, like the lyricstoo deepyeah, basics in behavior is okay, as long you don’t go
I'm using the song for something else. I don't even really know that much about the game. I just like the song.
This is how we live our lives searchin'though it may have a darker meaning, just use the surface level
For the answers inside of every page
And I'm here wonderin' if one day
We'll finally be free from this cage
Is it okay to have a feelin'
That maybe there is more to this game?
However now, no time to question
So just behave

plotting a mystery (weekly two)
word count - 1400 words
part one (266 words)
- Rain splatters against my attic window. A wave of nausea washes over me as I clutch the tarnished locket, its inscription barely legible: “To Amelia, always and forever.” Memories flood back - a lavish birthday party, my father's booming, his sudden disappearance. Was it an accident, as everyone claims, or something more sinister?
- Decades later, the manor creaks awake with the arrival of a peculiar antique dealer. He eyes the locket with an unsettling gleam, muttering about a “hidden legacy.” His words spark a dormant fire within me. Is this the key to unlocking the truth about my father's fate? Does this man know something about his disappearance?
- The investigation unearths a diary of a family curses, a darkness that taints the Blackwood family. Doubt gnaws at me. Could the darkness be hereditary? Am I destined to repeat the same fate that befell my father? And why, beg, is our family being punished so?
- Delving into dusty family archives, I discover a hidden will, leaving everything to a distant cousin I never knew existed. Relief washes over me - perhaps the curse only targeted the direct line. But a cryptic symbol scrawled beneath his signature sends shivers down my spine. Is the danger even closer than I think?
- I confront the cousin. A standoff reveals a shocking truth - he's not a relative, but a vengeful descendant of someone wronged by the Blackwoods. The locket, a family heirloom, housed a hidden key, unlocking a secret passage leading to yet another truth. Facing the darkness within the walls (and within myself), I must finally lay the past to rest.
part two (233 words)
- Each portrait in the long hallway stares down with an intensity that sends shivers down my spine. One, in particular, depicts a young woman with an uncanny resemblance to me, her eyes filled with a haunting sadness. The inscription reveals her name - Amelia, my great-grandmother, who vanished mysteriously a century ago. Is there a connection between the disappearances?
- Since childhood, I've been plagued by a dream; peculiar, right? A storm rages, lightning illuminates a figure cloaked in black at the edge of a cliff. Their face remains unseen, but a sense of dread and a chilling laugh pierces the dream. Could it be amemory, a premonition, or simply my imagination?
- Throughout the manor, I find a recurring symbol etched on furniture legs, tucked into dusty corners of paintings. It resembles a twisted bird in flight, its meaning lost to time. Is it a family crest, a dark omen, or merely an artistic flourish with no hidden significance? I shudder to even wonder.
- Hidden within my father's desk drawer, I discover a locked diary. The intricate brass lock seems untouched, hinting it was never meant to be opened. Could it contain the final piece of the puzzle, or is it simply a personal journal filled with mundane details, offering no answers? I need to find out. For myself, and the rest of my family.
part three (349 words)
finley (the detective) : “why, greetings, miss ziony. witness reports paint a rather… unconventional picture of your involvement with mrs. eswecee's unfortunate rendezvous with a frying pan. they mention a heated exchange, a flurry of activity, and then… silence. followed, of course, by the rather distinct clang that heralded mrs. esweecee's culinary-induced concussion. now, you claim that you were simply present in the crime scene. but some might find that explanation a tad… undercooked.”
zion (the witness) : *zion walks closer* “you think I did this?! i would never!”
finley (the detective) : “whoa there, miss ziony, easy does it. i never said you did it, just that the picture's a little blurry around the edges. let's rewind a bit. tell me your side of the story. what were you and mrs. eswecee discussing that got so…heated?”
zion (the witness) : zion scowled. “sure you weren't. we were just talking about… uh, candles. candles, yeah!”
zion (the witness) : “she has really bad taste in candles, if I'm honest. she had a grass scented one. grass! It was just outrageous–I'm not making this up! ask her yourself!”
finley (the detective) : “candles, huh? that's certainly a…unique topic for a heated discussion. look, zion, if a grass-scented candle was the worst part of your visit with mrs. eswecee, i think we can both agree you got off lucky. but something isn't adding up. you wouldn't be this worked up over a candle, even a particularly pungent one. what were you really arguing about?” *look of disbelief on the face*
zion (the witness) : *dramatic sigh* “you don't believe me–of course you don't! why is it so hard to believe that people get upset about silly things? i would've had no reason to do ANYTHING to mrs. eswecee–other than maybe do her a massive favor and throw out that candle! If you can tell me why you think I did and your proof, i'll tell you why you're wrong!”
finley (the detective) : “okay, zion, you want specifics? here's what doesn't quite fit. witness reports mention a heated exchange and a flurry of activity before the… frying pan incident. a disagreement about a candle, even a particularly offensive one, wouldn't typically lead to that kind of intensity. now, I'm not saying you bashed mrs. eswecee, but something seems to be at play. look, if you're innocent, the more you tell me, the faster we can clear your name. so, what else happened with you and her?”
zion (the witness) : *rolls eyes and sighs again* “i told you already! we were talking idly and she mentioned the candle she bought as a souvenir last summer!! she said it smelled like freshly cut grass” *wrinkles nose* “and that it was simply amazing! i told her straight up that if she kept wasting money on candles that didnt even smell good she wouldnt be able to afford any GOOD candles when she evantually found one!! that loud sound? that was me punching the table out of pure RAGE. i dont know who hit her with the frying pan. it wasnt me–when did you say she was found, again?”
finley (the detective) : “a punch on the table? look, if you want to play coy, that's your right, but the evidence speaks louder than outrage. you know what else is loud? a lie! here's the real question, zion: when you ”punched“ the table, did it knock a frying pan off a hook sending it flying into mrs. eswecee or did you get a little more creative in your argument? because right now, you're the only one with a motive and the opportunity! let's talk about the truth, zion.”
zion (the witness) : “YES, a punch on the table!! i punched the table, gave her a dirty look and then i left. and then HOURS later you come banging on my door accusing me off hitting someone over the head with a frying pan! it's insanity! don't you wonder who took that picture? seems pretty suspicious!”
part four (552 words)
The rain hammered against the attic window. Moonlight speared through a crack in the roof, illuminating the tarnished locket clutched in my hand. The inscription, barely legible, sent a shiver down my spine: “To Amelia, always and forever.” Dad gave it to me on my fourteenth birthday, saying it was a family heirloom, and I would always live to love it.
My father's booming laugh echoed in the cavernous halls of my memory. Decades had sank into one another, the memory of his disappearance a wound beneath the official story – a flimsy bandage over a gaping chasm of doubt. Accident, they said. But doubt had taken root deep within me.
Mr. Graves, the antique dealer, had watered that seed with his cryptic words of a “hidden legacy.” Tonight, I found myself creeping down the shadowed labyrinth of the old manor.
The silence pressed in on me, broken only by the traitorous creak of the floorboards beneath my feet. Was I truly searching for answers, or chasing a phantom – a desperate attempt to recapture a childhood stolen? The line between past and present widened, as I embarked on a one of a kind mystery.
The library door loomed. Pushing it open, I was met with a wave of stale air, thick with the scent of decaying time and lingering ghosts. Each shadow stretched and contorted, mocking the fragile hope flickering within me. The portraits, lined up across the crimson hallway, were judging me in every manner possible. Their eyes, I swear I saw them move once.
Was I unraveling a mystery, or unraveling myself? The question hung heavy, an unwelcome echo of the doubts gnawing at the edges of my sanity. My fingers traced the cold stone of the fireplace mantle, a familiar chill chasing away the clammy sweat clinging to my skin. Beneath my touch, a hidden compartment yielded a worn leather-bound diary. My father's diary.
A flicker of relief, fragile and fleeting, washed over me.
The diary lay open in my trembling hands, the spidery handwriting a connection to a father I never knew. But as I began to read, a sense of voyeurism, a prickling unease, settled over me.
A sudden scream, raw and primal, shattered the silence. The diary tumbled from my grasp, forgotten in the face of a more immediate terror. Adrenaline coursed through me, this time devoid of the desperate hope of discovery. There was only fear, a primal instinct for survival.
“Is anyone here……?” I whispered, perhaps too soft for even an ant to hear. Quickly grabbing a torchlight, I lit a lone pathway back to where I came from, but I could no longer see a way out. What on earth was Mr Graves up to in the shop? And then I remembered, the legacy. Everything made sense now. The diary, the clues, everything. I had to go back. The screams continued to be heard, though now I had the answer. Someone needs to know the truth.
But as I raced towards the source of the scream, another question rose above the clamor of emotions. This was more than a mystery to solve. This was a puzzle with a missing piece shaped exactly like me, and a chilling realization began to take root: I wasn't just investigating a case, I was a part of it.

finley (the detective) : “candles, huh? that's certainly a…unique topic for a heated discussion. look, zion, if a grass-scented candle was the worst part of your visit with mrs. eswecee, i think we can both agree you got off lucky. but something isn't adding up. you wouldn't be this worked up over a candle, even a particularly pungent one. what were you really arguing about?” *look of disbelief on the face*
zion (the witness) : *dramatic sigh* “you don't believe me–of course you don't! why is it so hard to believe that people get upset about silly things? i would've had no reason to do ANYTHING to mrs. eswecee–other than maybe do her a massive favor and throw out that candle!

Brackish: Once there was two sea serpents. One lived in the ocean, and could only breathe salt water and air. The other lived in a lake and that one breathed only fresh water and air. However the lake was quite close to the ocean, and the serpents would see each other sometimes, and eventually started to talk. They wanted quite badly to live together in the lake or the ocean, and so together they prayed to a deity. It told them that they would need to do a series of quests for it, and then it might give them what they so badly wanted. The deity said that it would first need for the serpents to help the poor clam farmer that’s farm had been overtaken by octopi. The sea serpent was able to complete this, and went ahead and took one after another octopus and threw it on to the land. Once it had finished the water serpents returned to the deity. It said it needed them to throw a piece of quartz into the nearby geyser. This one was easier for the lake serpent because its fins could lead it better on land. When the serpent dropped it in, it almost got full on sprayed by the geyser, though thankfully only two drops got on the serpent. Those scars left behind would be a permenant reminder of the quests for the rest of their life. After they dropped the quartz in they returned again to the deity. For their last quest it said it would need them to walk to the top and back down to the hill behind the lake. This was quite the task, since even though it was more of a medium-sized hill and less of a mountain, they still only had fins, not legs. Despite this, they were able to do it, after spending hours climbing the mountain, encouraged and full of determination because of the others presence. Then, once more, they returned to the deity. The deity congratulated them and gifted them two pearls. The deity said the pearls were from the clam farmer, who had been very grateful. The deity had enchanted them so that the pearls would make it so they would both be able to breathe fresh and ocean water once they ate them, as well as making a lakeish area connecting to both the water and the sea so it was a mix of both. The serpents immediately picked up the pearls from the sand with their teeth to eat them, and they lived happily ever after, living together at last.

Help! When I was testing my new project, there were 2 bugs.
- Clicking on California lets you view only in a split second, nothing else.
- Hovering over Texas doesn't do anything, it just stays in NaS (Not a State) costume.
What happened? Did I miss something?
