A great way to improve this suggestion would be personalisation. Of course, Scratch is not all about messaging, but I think it would be a good idea to be able to change the sound of the beep. For example, a short melody might be nice. A ding or a buzzer might be appealing to some people.

Perhaps there could be a poll about which sounds are most popular. A random selection of people who are interested in this suggestion could say which sounds they like, and share a project with the sound they like. The sound could be hidden in a project of theirs. The selection of people will be anonymous, so as to prevent any hate towards them should anyone dislike the sounds they chose.

People could record their own sounds to use, if they like, or use the ones that the selection of people chose. You can be the decider of which ones are worthy of being the options.

Most (if not all) programming languages will have some sort of precision limits for large integers or will just not store values outside a certain range. I suspect there are few that have the precision you suggest where you could add 1 to a very large number and it be recognised as a different number.

If you want to work with very big numbers you really need to create your own arithmetical code and use text strings rather than numbers. Scratch will happily store 12345678901234567890 as a text string but as soon as you treat it as a number (eg adding 1) it will be convert to a number and the precision limit will kick in.

I also don't get it because the forumer rank would be invisible, so no one would be able to tell whether a user is on the forums often or not, which was the goal (I think) of this suggestion. If it's just for the user to know if they're a forumer or not, I think they can figure that out on their own.
So I'm creating this Mega Man project, but after 4 screens of a level, the buster stops working. Is this a cloning issue, or is this another thing I don't know about?

The only stage that works for now is Metal Man's stage, which is on the bottom left.

I’ll begin with a quick overview. Firstly, I really love the retrospective format of it—this character has already experienced the betrayal, and now they’re reevaluating the entire relationship. That’s a super good way of exploring it, so props to you for that! I think the piece overall is strong, although I do have some smaller qualms with more specific sentence choices, which I will get into in the detailed review.

I feel like the impact is heightened when you combine them and shorten it like this!

Just a quick grammar correction here—in the second line you say “me and you” when it should be “you and I”. I think this verse overall adds some interesting depth to the story and relationship. It seems as though, now, that Addison didn’t think she needed to tell the narrator what was happening. I think that’s a very interesting angle and kind of adds to the narrator’s culpability in the entire situation. If you’re going for that angle, however, I might add in the final section that the narrator realizes that they overreacted and should not have been so hurt by Addison, since she had never intended to be maliciously secretive. That might add to reasons why the character would “take them back” as they do in the end.

I love the reference to ‘Foxglove’ in this verse! My change here would be to cut down on the second line a bit. I think the italicized line feels a little unnecessary, as the narrator already said “i get it”. However, to keep some of this cohesion, I might shift the “i get it” down.
So my edited first two lines would look like this:
“Tansies thrown at me.
I get it. You’re no longer my best friend—or my friend at all.”
I think this keeps the spirit of the lines while cutting down on over-explanation, if that makes sense.

Sonic game design based on sonic 3&k and sonic CD:

As I have mentioned before, in a past work speaking of why sonic 4 is good in mobile, I stated how the core mechanic of sonic is not speed, I will explain. We will firstly see a regular example of a classic game design: a track composed of a plain field followed by a ramp that takes to a short elevated surface, then a ramp, if you jump on the highest point of the ramp you reach an even higher area with a loop, while if you don’t jump you will follow a small field interrupted by 2 consecutive -pits. Visual representation:

In this course many things could happen, for example, if you build enough speed you might end up going over the second ramp and land on the lower second surface, or you could reach the upper surface and go through the loop, you could also take the lower rout and try to jump over the U-pits and maybe jumping over them in one jump, or you might fall in one of the U-pits so to get back you would have to build speed and land correctly; This all is what I mean by speed is not the core of sonic, because the game design is not based on speed but in physics, sonic physics, because the objective is to go fast but the core of he gameplay is the tool you use to go fast.

Now that we have clear the thesis that sonic core is physics and not speed itself, we can start checking in the two games I want to analyze. Sonic 2 and sonic Cd are the two examples of the ways this “sonic core” can be implemented, while sonic 3&k is a sort of combination of both implementations. Sonic 2 could be described as the “linear” formula, the way sonic two successfully applies sonic core idea to game design is based on reflexes and branching paths, but all with the same objective: go from point A to point B. We all should know well how the upper rout promotes keeping speed while the lower rout puts more obstacles so the player gets more familiar with the physics with a slower pace, so this formula works, adding the reaction time and speed conservation to the sonic core makes solid levels… except water levels but those are something else.

Now, sonic CD does something quite different; with very few and occasional exceptions, sonic cd game design is more linear, there’s one route and then the end of the level, and that works… but then you decide to deviate a bit. Sonic cd game design could be described as the “exploration” formula, a treasure hunt combined with the sonic core, yes there is a point A to point B, but if you want you can explore the level and then come back to the main route, this means that the main route can hide and some deviations can become part of the main rout, and all this is intensified with the different maps due to the time travel. given that here are 2 objectives in each level, with its exceptions, there is a certain devaluation of the speed factor and rather a fight against the physics to achieve the 2 objectives… or the smart use of the physics to accomplish both objectives, regardless of which ways you choose, sonic cd has shorter levels to emphasize this explanation part, meaning hat in sacrifice of speed you can get different focuses to the sonic core, making use of momentum or fighting against the unique movement of sonic and it’s physics.

Nowm concluding this part of the essay, in summary, in classic sonic game design the core is physics, and the game design revolves around the concept that the player enjoys the physics. Sonic 2 is a natural evolution of sonic 1 in terms of level design while sonic cd experiments with exploration. Now it is time to speak about sonic 3&k, in 3&k we see certain implementation of both “linear” and “exploration” formulas, making a level with branching paths and secret finding without leaving linearity behind, in sonic 3&k the levels solve the problem of cd, that is that levels in cd can become confusing if the player isn’t familiar with these concepts, and sonic 3&k expands on the idea of branching paths. Sonic 3&k proved to be an almost perfect combination of exploration, sonic core implementation, linearity and in many other aspects that we haven’t analyzed. Now, this doesn’t mean that sonic 3&k is better than cd or than sonic 2, it is an almost perfect combination, not a perfect game, sonic 3&k commits its own mistakes just as cd and sonic 2.

In conclusion, and apologizing for the very short space I dedicated to sonic 3, in my opinion sonic core can be derived to 2 kinds, linear and exploration formulas, sonic cd and sonic 2 are the first examples of them in their pure state, and sonic 3&k is a fusion that went very well. This you might use as a way to determine if a classic sonic game has good level design or to start your own analysis based on it, in fact I would love you to write an answer of the same or greater length proving me wrong in case you disagree with me.

I just think everyone should try to give more appreciation for creative, original projects. I notice all these people who gain so many followers, and most of their projects are generic platformers, often using @griffpatch or some other user’s code, with a very basic design to it. It’s discouraging for people who work hard on new ideas and projects, but don’t get any attention.

What I’m saying is that, for all of the general people of Scratch, try to check out, comment on, remix, love/favorite, etc. on projects that were creatively crafted and don’t have much attention. You don’t have to stop playing generic platformers if you find them fun, but I think there are many other things that deserve that instant popularity.

For those who make these generic games and animations, I don’t want to discourage you from making them if it’s fun and you’re learning a lot about coding or art from it, but don’t do it just because it’s a pretty easy way to get more attention.

This post will probably not do anything, but I felt the need to get this off my chest.

I don’t mean this as a way to start fights or hurt people, but please let me know if a part was unkind or hurt your feelings

But sometimes order forms are more specific and people who take your order have to qualify (I think. I'm not sure if code workers have to qualify. Maybe in some shops. Idk.)

I made a code where every -32 in y the player moves 32 up and sands a signal “up” so the squares move up and a new layer generates. If you run the code manualy it works but when you put it in a "when i recieve " block it breaks (clones go up to the 300 limit and the block is just moving, swiching lanse up and down):

really? I can see by their tax returns that they currently have over £10 million to spend. Of course they shouldn't spend all of that, but that's enough resources to update something outdated. It's been 5 years since 3.0 came out. They should've been updated by now, particuarly as they aren't working on anything it seems like at the moment.
There's also the ‘expenses’ part on the right. Running a website has ongoing costs and tasks, like server upkeep, site moderation, and so on.
I know that. Yes, they made a loss in 2022. But that's the first loss they ever made on record (since 2013) and before that they were making profits in the millions for 5 years straight from 2017-2021 (in the 2 millions in 2019-2021, 3 million in 2018, 1 million in 2017). They have over 11 million in the bank yet the developers aren't updating outdated pages? It should've been done by now.
