ocular rewritten

As i'm sure some of you are aware of there are some words (two in particular that I know of) that may be considered inappropriate language to others, however they aren't blocked on the website? Will I get a warning or be banned for saying these words? i.e. ‘h e i i’ or ‘ d a n m ’

The words aren't allowed on Scratch, but aren't blocked and will not be :

Depends on how it's used. If you are in a conversation about mythology, it's probably fine. Otherwise, it's better to use a euphemism of some kind.

Those don't really clarify though if we are allowed to say it without the risk of being punished

It's not allowed.

I'm actually pretty surprised that words like * are allowed. But the word b@nn3d isn't? Or is it..?

In general, they are allowed, per se — but as you noted, no one should be using them in a disrespectful manner. It's like how the word “trash” is allowed when you say things like “I threw my banana peel in the trash,” but that word is not allowed when you say things like “Your projects are trash.”

These words can be said if it’s not used in a disrespectful manner. Saying crap as in “oh crap, i forgot to save my project” can be considered okay, but “your stuff are like crap” isn’t.
And just because it said report disrespectful manners doesn’t mean it’s banned, it’s basically english lmao
