SCENE 7 (or smth): THE HIGH COUNCIL

A door opens. Orion and Megatron walk through the door into the High Council’s chamber. Orion and Megatron kneel. Megatron stands back up, and Orion does the same, only a few seconds after Megatron.

High Council 1: Why are you here?

Orion: We wish to speak with you abou—

Megatron (interrupting Orion): We should be able to choose our own jobs.

High Council 1 raises his eyebrow.

Megatron: It is cruel and unjust that we can’t choose ourselves! That it’s predetermined at birth! It MUST be changed! It—

High Council 2 (interrupting Megatron) (talking to Orion): What about you? Why are you here?

Orion: I believe the same thing. Being a nervous, weak data clerk is all I’ve ever known. But if I had chosen my future career, if things had been different…..I would’ve been a soldier. I would fight for what’s right. I’d get special training, and……that’s just the thing. I’m nervous and weak because you chose for me to be a data clerk. If I had been a police officer, I would have learned to be strong and confident. If I had been a construction worker I would have learned to persevere through hardships, and to do my best. But no, I was trained to sit on my butt all day without actually contributing anything worthwhile to society! I was trained to stare at a screen and tap buttons!

High Council 3 raises his finger and is about to say something when Orion continues to talk.

Orion: …….all my life I’ve felt I was destined for more. Destined to do something great. But I can’t, because no one takes me seriously, cause I’m a useless data clerk. Not a soldier. Not a famous journalist. A data clerk. But if I could’ve chosen…….things would be so different.

High Council 1 looks at Orion, at Megatron, then back at Orion.

High Council 1 (smirking): …….We shall put your statement into consideration.

Orion excitedly looks at Megatron, then back at High Council 1, trying to hold back a smile.

Orion (nodding to High Council 1): Thank you.

High Council 1 nods.

Megatron: We should be going—

High Council 3 (interrupting Megatron): leave.

Megatron: What?

High Council 3 (pointing at Megatron): You. Leave. We must discuss something with the talkative one. (High Council 3 puts his hand down and looks over at Orion.)

Megatron: I—

Megatron looks at Orion.

Megatron: Fine.

Megatron walks out of the room.

High Council 2: You have demonstrated that you are passionate about this topic, and are willing to do whatever it takes to get your point across. Is that true?

Orion: No. I just wanted to tell you that people want to choose their own jobs, and that the law should be changed.

High Council 5: Good answer.

High Council 1: Have you ever heard of the Primes?

Orion: Of course. Brave souls that are chosen by the High Council to carry the Matrix of Leadership and protect Cybertron.

High Council 2: Indeed.

Megatron sneaks back into the room and watches from the corner, unseen.

High Council 4: Who is the current Prime?

Orion: Zeta Prime.

High Council 2: Very good.

High Council 3: Zeta Prime has sadly become one with the Matrix.

Orion: That’s why you haven’t been taking guests the past few solar cycles?

High Council 1: Exactly.

Orion: ….then, why’d you let me and Megatron in?

High Council 4: We’ve actually been expecting you, Orion Pax.

Orion: wha—?

High Council 3 (interrupting Orion): We’ve been watching you, Pax.

Orion: I—

High Council 5 (interrupting Orion): Are you interested in being the next Prime?

Orion’s eyes enlarged in shock. He was at a loss for words.

Orion: I—I don’t know what to say.

High Council 2: They never do. *chuckles*

Orion: But…why me?

High Council: 3 We have seen your struggles: not being able to find a job because of your “reputation” with protests. You are a rebel, willing to fight for what’s right. You—

Megatron (interrupting High Council 3): No.

Everyone looks at Megatron, who just stepped out if the shadows.

Orion: Megatron? I thought you left.

Megatron: Council, listen. Only the powerful should claim the matrix. Anyone below should parish.

High Council 2 (frustrated): Leave. Now.

Megatron growls, then stomps out.

High Council 4: Don’t let that maniac get into your head, Orion.

Orion: I didn’t want to be a Prime anyway.

The entire High Council stares at Orion, shocked, look at each other, then look back at Orion.

High Council 1: But it’s all you’ve ever wanted. A position where people will listen to you. A position where—

Orion (interrupting High Council 1): Where I will cause unbelievable violence and start wars. Yea, no thanks.

High Council 5: Is this your final decision?

Orion: Yes.

High Council 4: ……Very well. You may take your leave.

Orion nods, and walks out

SCENE 8: MEGATRON’S REGARDS:

Orion and Megatron are walking in a hallway together, on their way out of the building.

Megatron: What happened?

Orion: I humbly refused the offer.

Megatron stops walking. Orion took a few seconds to notice. He stops walking and turns to face Megatron.

Megatron (either after or while Orion is walking): You what?!

Orion: “humbly refused the offer.”

Megatron growls.

Megatron (getting mad): This isn’t a joke, Orion! All this time we’ve wanted to be noticed. That’s why we went to the Council in the first place! Being a Prime—

Orion (interrupting Megatron): Would put our cause in danger.

Megatron: How would it possibly—?!

Orion: I could die out there. You need me.

Megatron (noticeably angry): Primes are immortal!

Orion (Megatron is turning around and starting to walk away): Don’t trust everything you read, Megatron.

Megatron stopped walking.

Megatron (irritated): No. Maybe……maybe, I shouldn’t trust you.

Orion: I—

Megatron: We’re done here.

Megatron walks away into another room.

Orion stands there for a few seconds, then leaves the opposite way Megatron did.

SCENE 10: THE MEETING

Orion enters a room with a long table surrounded by chairs in the center. Megatron is on the opposite end of the table. Orion sits down on his end.

Megatron: I’m glad you could finally join us.

Orion: I’m so—wait, “us”?

Megatron: Yes. Us.

Shockwave and Starscream walk into the room and stand behind Megatron.

Starscream: So you must be Megatron’s pet. You know, Megatron’s using yo—

Megatron elbows Starscream hard in the stomach.

Megatron (irritated) (interrupting Starscream): That’s enough, Starscream.

Starscream: Ow! *scowls*

Starscream backs up a bit from where Megatron is sitting.

Orion: What is this?

Megatron: I have an offer for you, Orion. I have decided that if we’re going to successfully change the Council’s mind about the law, we should start a more…..

Megatron looks at Starscream, Shockwave, then looks back at Orion and smiles evilly.

Megatron: ……aggressive campaign.

Orion: Starscream’s right. You are using me.

Megatron tries to keep his cool as he elbows Starscream again much harder.

Megatron: What do you mean?

Orion: You were always using me. You had the fame. But you didn’t have the words. Then you found me, and decided to put me in charge of writing all your dumb speeches and arranging all your boring ceremonies.

Megatron growled.

Megatron (angry): So are you joining me or not?!

Orion stares at Megatron in silence with an irritated expression.

Megatron: Orion, what you are doing is very unwise.

Orion (right after Megatron finishes talking): I’ll never join you.

Megatron: If you are not with me, you are against me! Shockwave, eliminate this traitor.

Shockwave (either turns his hand into a gun or takes out a gun), raises his gum arm, and points it at Orion.

Orion quickly stands up.

Shockwave fires his gun at Orion. Orion ducks behind his chair. The blast leaves a giant hole in the chair, barely missing him. Orion then runs out of the room as fast as he can as Shockwave repeatedly shoots at him, still missing. After Orion is out of sight, Shockwave stops firing and slowly puts his arm down.

Megatron: Starscream, find him.

Starscream: Fine.

Starscream transforms and flies through the air to the other side of the room, and quickly zooms through the door.

Megatron: Shockwave, inform our contacts of Orion’s escape. They will surely find him.

Shockwave: Yes, Megatron. What will you do?

Megatron: Grab his attention. (Megatron smiles evilly and walks into the camera, giving a transition)

I must say that the script is incredible. You are missing out one detail. The council still wants Orion for prime. They even introduced his new name to him.

The movie should be around 1 hour. The scenes should be 2-5 minutes. 60 divided by 2 is 30. 60 divided by 5 is 12. So assumingely, there should be about 15 to 30 scenes.
