The math is a bit complicated, so I've did it in this project.
Although the movement is not smooth, it is a perfect lemniscate.

Or you can just glue two circles together, it doesn't matter, it just doesn't look as good.
my biggest music mistake recently was deciding to work on an original song, a remix, and a remaster at the same time. especially considering:

- i need to extend the original song to be around five-and-a-half minutes long because of what it's inspired by

- the remix is of a song that completely switches tempo and tone halfway through

- the remaster is of a remix of a three-part song that uses samples that i can't add using just jummbox, and the part that uses the samples doesn't have a bassline i can go off of so i don't know how i'm gonna make this sound good

Daily 29th March

Lightning forked from the churning clouds, disappearing into a surging abyss of raw and biting water. A boat, tossed around like a rag doll by towering waves, spattering the walls with sea foam.
Inside, shrieks could be heard echoing off the drenched walls. A shivering girl stared out of the porthole in sheer terror, her shoulders heaving with the effort of breathing. Another face streaked past hers, hurling her off her feet.

They were trapped in a stormy dome, enclosed by a splintered cage. As more water flooded into the boat, bubbles erupted from their mouths as they sank down, gripping onto each other for dear life. Then the girl’s eyes fluttered closed and the man screamed, waves streaming into his open mouth. His eyes closed and all that was left was a steadily sinking boat.

They can’t die.
Not yet.
I need them alive.
Quicker.
Be quicker.

Thunder boomed ominously and blurred figures were gathered on the shore, sirens wailing in the distance. Many had their phones out, filming the dreadful deed, their faces lined with astonishment. Cameras flashed through the blinding rain, their light harsh.

Another fork of lightning crashed down onto the deck of the boat, searing holes into the battered wood. Wind slapped the torn sails as the lightning wrapped itself around the skeletal boat.

Slowly, gradually, it climbed upwards, carrying the boat with it. Enveloped in its sparking embrace, the boat was deadly still as it disappeared through the clouds. At the last moment, it writhed as though trying to free itself, and a porthole tumbled back into the fuming ocean. That was all that remained of the boat.

But up there, peeping through the clouds, fingers curled over the edges, trying to catch onto the fabric of earth. They clutched thin air, desperately trying to get out. A pale ghostly face, creased with wisdom, appeared through a glassy miniscule hole in the sky, tears sliding down its weathered cheek. Many other faces popped up beside it, some young and innocent, some sorrowful and longing, invisible to human sight.

And as the hole gently closed, there was one message in their pleading eyes.
Help.

Hello! I usually make music on FL studio, but that can be expensive. A free alternative that works well for me has been soundtrap. Even though it's made mainly for edm stuff, you can really make any kind of music on there. I also use musescore for orchestral sounding things.

The hunger games are normal

That was what I told myself over and over again.

I won't get picked, it's one and million

I stepped into the group of other fifteen year old boys, my hands shaking, harder than they normally did. What was different about today's Reaping? Why was I SO NERVOUS? My dad was the assistant mayor, a high ranking job to hold in district seven, my home. The district of lumber and wood. My mother was beloved by the whole district. My step-mom was quick tongued and genius. They might not have held any rank in the district, but they were well known.

I waited for someone to say, “ladies first!” in a high pitched voice, but it was a new man this year. Alexander King, I learned, his name was from whispers around the other fifteen year olds. All that came was a short and deep, “Rose Appleby-Williams.” A quick sob was heard from the crowd as a short 17 year old girl walked onto the stage.

Her cheeks were stained with tears, but I ignored her and tensed my muscles up, waiting for the boy's name to be called, and me running to my mother, happily eating dinner with dad and step-mom then tomorrow heading to my mother's house for another dinner.

“Charles Asterly.”

But then the world went silent. I was so confused. It was me? Why?

Was it really me? All the other fifteen year olds looked at me, all pitiful and shocked. I saw my mother, standing with the other parents. She was weeping, and my step-mom ran to comfort her. I clutched the ends of my shirt in my hands, it was really a lovely shirt, almost a tux, with a white center. And black pants. I felt handsome enough, but as usual when I was nervous my brown hair fell in front of my gray eyes, as I walked to the stage. I could barely see but I knew my way just by looking at the ground.

I pushed my hair out of my eyes as I walked past my parents. My mother reached for me, her mouth moving, but I could not hear the words. I was deaf with shock. Was that even real?

Take the stage ooh..
You're a supernova to
my heart oohh

As a song my entire family loved started playing in my mind, I almost burst into tears. But no I would stay strong because the cameras were still shining on me. I had to be likeable, not innocent and too emotional like Rose.

“Our district 7 tributes of the 23rd Hunger Games!” Cried Alexander, in his loud booming voice which echoed over the entire audience of children who were weeping and sweating with relief that it wasn't them. Over the parents, who ran to their children, hugging and kissing them. Everyone was joyful, except mine and Rose's parents. “Rose Appleby-Williams and Charles Asterly!”

Now, Rose's sobbing was getting annoying. Girls. I would have laughed at her, if I had the ability to talk without blabbing pointlessly and sounding even stupider than her. Girls, all girls, were so pointless and too emotionally attached to everyone they ever met. Girls would spend hours crying if they weren't at the same school as their friend, who they had only known for a year. As I was deciding how to kill pitiful Rose, the Peacekeepers rushed us both to a meeting room.

The same meeting room, sadly.

I watched Rose's mother and father and six siblings come in, all crying like this was the last time they'd ever see her. This wouldn't be the last time. They'd see me, on the television, killing her.

My game is like a tower defense game but enemies can move around freely and attack towers.

I wish to make a map with obstacles, but I ran into a number of issues.

1. Towers and Enemies may try to shoot each other through obstacles.
This is less important as for now I can stick with obstacles that stop movement but don’t block sight, or make a raycaster for each enemy and tower

2. Enemies won’t be able to navigate itself to the base (the thing the player has to prevent enemies from getting to) if there isn’t a direct line of sight.

I’m not planning on making some sort of maze obstacle that requires some some AI powered pathfinding to figure out where to go, I just wish to have some simples obstacles on the side, maybe a map that has like one big turn, or a map with a gate with 1 specific point for enemies to go through to get to the other end of the map.

Thanks!

If anyone knows anything of why I might also not be able to put the file into scratch then please tell me
Hmm. This would probably fit better in advanced topics but my guess is that when ported into scratch and it actually decompiles it is much bigger than 41.19 MB. When you export a project I'm pretty sure it compiles the project into a smaller file so it doesn't clog up computer space and when you load it back in it is too big. I also have a chromebook so that's why I somewhat know this problem.

Hope this helps!

Clones also react to broadcasts! So, the following code…
when green flag clicked
set [score v] to [0]
create clone of [myself v]
broadcast [increase score v]

when I receive [increase score v]
change [score v] by (1)

will actually increase the score twice!

To fix this, we can use a variable set to for this sprite only to keep track of what is a clone, and what is the original sprite. In the following code, the is clone? variable is set to for this sprite only.

when green flag clicked
set [score v] to [0]
set [is clone? v] to [1]
create clone of [myself v]
set [is clone? v] to [0]
broadcast [increase score v]

when I receive [increase score v]
if <(is clone?) = [0]> then
change [score v] by (1)
end
I hope this helped!
Well, can you post the link to your unfinished game? I can probably help by those means. If not, your script probably says
when I start as a clone
create clone of [main sprite v]

For such a pivotal moment in the poem, I’d suggest not using “better than boredom.” Perhaps she says that she’s fine with rude, since she’s so fascinated with a talking tree. Maybe she thinks the rudeness is funny, or she appreciates how honest he is? This also foreshadows to the whole “they sent me away” thing that happens later in the poem.

“You’re too smart for someone your age.”

This is a bit out-of-pocket and out of place, not making sense with what was just said.

Introduction

I have used Cubeupload image links on the Scratch forums, but all I see is either a little symbol with green and blue, like a landscape, or a white space.

What the cause is NOT

The reason is NOT:

  • I'm a New Scratcher - I'm not one.
  • I used an image host that can't be used yet - I use cubeupload.
  • I need to refresh the page- I have done so multiple times, which, sadly, did not work.
  • I used the wrong link - I have copied the cubeupload link in full.
  • I forgot to use the
    [img] [/img]
    tags

Conclusion

If you know any possible solutions, or know the reason why this has happened, please take the time to write a response to this.
Please do not quote this whole post at once; cut out the bits that you aren't replying to.

EDIT: If this problem does get solved, I'd still like to know how to solve the problem in future. Thank you.

A cabin blur is due by the 4-5th of April (Bad memory :p) so I was thinking maybe we include everything that happened, including the end even if they don't get all their diary pages, or maybe the end could change depending on if the campers get all the diary pages in time?

Anyways, here's a rough draft:

The Woods has swallowed you into its darkness, you and now with your fellow campers are one with it. It was always inevitable, but you thought you could delay it by escaping, but what the Woods wants, the Woods gets. Now, you are cursed to the fate of watching other campers come and go, before they too are swallowed. All you can do is wait now, and hope for the freedom you may never have again.

To find the height of a costume, just go into the costume editor and look at the costume's icon on the left side. Just below it there should be its dimensions

That message will broadcast for all the clones and the original sprite, so you might have to deal with that moving the original sprite by moving it back.

I like this a lot, it seems to be working way better than what I had, but now there is a new issue, the broadcast seems to repeat twice in some parts, and multiplies its change in Y over time the more you click, I'm not sure how to explain this very well so ill link the project below.
