I'm really interested in this topic, but I've got some questions. (Also if there is any info that can answer my questions on the documentation page, let me know as I didn't get that deep into reading it.) First, I noticed that on the cloud request examples page, there was a window that looked similar to the Scratch project window. Is that included with the package, and does it appear when testing your script? I assume it does, but I'm not 100% sure. Also, I assume there are limits to what projects you can change, right? If I were to use this and make a project with cloud variables, I really don't want random people changing the cloud variables and messing with the project.

But this year, none of that stuff has been done. I understand that Easter was slowing down the creation of these pranks, but it is now April Fools' Day in the US.

The thing I don’t like about the “what’s happening?” Section of the front page is that it only shows the last 5 activities.
I’ve nearly missed out on projects that my friends, family, or popular people have loved. And, it just gets buried back when someone loves 10 projects in a minute lol.
I’m suggesting that there should be a scroll bar, so it can show more activities. It would go on “infinitely”, but as with the messages screen, with the occasional “load more”
I think this could benefit everyone! Any cons to this, or what are your opinions on it? Discuss!

If you are looking to make it case sensitive (e.g. if you press Shift+A), things can get tricky due to the fact that Scratch has removed all ways to sense the shift key being pressed, but you can substitute the shift key for something like @ or ~, which require they shift key to be pressed. You can do something like this:

Quick thing to note: Scratch also doesn't care about case sensitivity, so costumes are generally used to represent case sensitivity, since costumes aren't affected by this. That being said, you still can't do something simple to detect case sensitivity, more technical things are used, which can be found here, on the Scratch Wiki.

I have two versions of a song, a normal and a muffled version. When I open a menu in my project, I want to switch from the normal sound to the muffled sound, with the other in the background so that it plays from where the first one stopped. Anyone know how I can do this?

As William Henry Harrison once said, “To code is human, to throw things is divine.” I propose that this be implemented into Scratch. How many times have you been on this website and really just wanted to throw something? Or have something thrown at you? Hmm? Hmm?

Every user page would have a button that says “Throw something at user”. Then you will pick one of seventy-three-and-a-half objects to be thrown at this Scratcher. By this point, a large trebuchet will have been installed at Scratch headquarters at MIT. Mitch Resnick himself will then load this object onto the trebuchet, let it rip, and this object will land harmlessly in the user's front yard (or apartment building roof/igloo, as it were).

The benefits to this are immeasurable:
- Throw things
- Get things thrown at you
- One more trebuchet on this Earth
- New profile page button

The drawbacks, however, are relatively minor:
- High chance of injury

I urge my fellow Scratchers to listen to this idea closely. It could very well be the future of the Internet as we know it.

Yes, the name is kinda click bait, but I wanted to discuss the possibility of letting the bare minimum of censored words for adult beverages slide. I have been in many situations and seen people be in the same situation of talking about a pet, place, meal, or other unrelated thing that just happens to have a censored word in the name.

You should really create your own topic rather than post on an old one but here's an idea for you to try.

Each point has an x and y starting position. That means from the origin you move x units along the x axis and then move y units perpindicularly to get to the point. OK so far?

Now if the triangle is rotated 10 degrees clockwise all you need to get to the point is to start at the origin and instead of going x units along the x-axis you point in direction 100 (90 + 10 degrees rotation) and move x units in that direction. Then move y units perpindicularly (left or right depending on whether y is positive or negative).

So you can work out the new x and y positions if you know the starting position and the rotation. Work out where each new point is and you can draw lines between those points.

An alternative is to work out the polar coordinates - essentially an angle and distance. If initially a point is at distance 50 units and at angle 40 degrees from the origin you can get to the new point by changing the angle but still moving 50 units from the origin.

So trigonometry is not necessary, it just saves you having to move things around to work out the new positions.

I think most of us know what the Swastika symbol is. Its the ww2 germany symbol. No, thats the first thing witch comes to mind in 99% of us. Anways, the Swastika symbol is not allowed on scratch, even when your not using it for the ww2 german symbol. I was making a countryball animation, (countryballs are spheres represented as a country, with the flag on it) And it had the Swastika symbol (since americans used it during ww1) And guess what? It got banned! It had no relation to the ww2 symbol whatsoever. But its banned! Sure, it should be banned on ww2 german perspective, But doing that is daft! Why is it banned?
