Scrolling “what’s happening?”

The thing I don’t like about the “what’s happening?” Section of the front page is that it only shows the last 5 activities.
I’ve nearly missed out on projects that my friends, family, or popular people have loved. And, it just gets buried back when someone loves 10 projects in a minute lol.
I’m suggesting that there should be a scroll bar, so it can show more activities. It would go on “infinitely”, but as with the messages screen, with the occasional “load more”
I think this could benefit everyone! Any cons to this, or what are your opinions on it? Discuss!

(I considered linking that one instead, but since the dupe i linked was specifically for a scrollbar i linked it instead, whereas the dupe you linked is for a “see more” button. Same concept, different, very different, implementation. A scrollbar would be much more intuitive than a see more button in my opinion.)
