How long does each Splatfest usually last? Also, how do Splatfests usually work?
they last around three days, friday through sunday, but the time depends on what your time zone is. Splatfests are centered around a theme with three choices with an idol representing each the current spaltfest is drums (shiver) vs guitar (frye) vs keyboard (bigman). when the splatfest is officially announced in-game there'll be a booth where you can pick your team though the splatfest usually wont start til two weeks later. youll wear a team shirt representing your team of choice as you engage in splatfest battles against the other two teams. the results arent officially announced until an hour after the splatfest is over buuut there are the sneak peak winner and halftime winner. the sneak peak winner is whichever team got the most votes/the team that got picked the most and the halftime is in the middle of the splatfest that shows which team is currently in the lead.
sooo basically whichever team wins the most battles and such wins the splatfest.
youll get the hang of it when your first splatoon 3 splatfest starts!
also you cant change your tee while the splatfest is going on, ranked battles arent open, there are threeway battles after the halftime winner is announced where youre put on either the defending or attacking team. the attacking team will try to get a device that will help you ink your turf but the defending team will try to stop you. the attacking team will consist of two players from two teams ex. two drums team members and two keyboard team members while the defending team will have four guitar team members. may cod be on your side if youre on the attacking because although you and another team are technically on the same team they will still try to splat you there is no order in this world.

—— daily for poetry

“We have no use of adventures ‘round here,” said Bilbo Baggins. “You might try over the hill and across the water.”
Gandalf would’ve done well to heed Bilbo’s trite advice, for unbeknownst to either of them, a hobbit did live across the water who was quite fond of adventure. Her name was Summer.
Summer’s hobbit-hole was not nearly as fine as Bilbo’s on The Hill, but it was a fine, respectable hole nevertheless. Its round polished door was a welcoming yellow, and on the doorknob was an ornate G. G, for Goldworthy, her family name.
Inside her hobbit-hole was just as cheery as the door. Her entryway featured a quaint little coat-stand, which currently had no coats on it (she was out using her own, and had no visitors at this moment.) In her living room was a small corner fireplace, surrounded by a few comfortable couches. She did her best to decorate this room with all her fineries, for it was the only one that boasted a window.
In the study she kept many types of books. Books of knowledge (which her father was partial to), cookbooks (the only type of book her mother read), and even a few adventure books (which no one thought were respectable to keep.) Books were the one way she was able to escape from her little corner of the South farthing, where everything was always the same and no on ever did anything unexpected. Sometimes she would sneak up on neighbors and say “boo,” just to add a little unexpectedness to the day, and everyone thought her quite queer that way.
She was a rather queer little hobbit (little, for she was only 2 and a half feet tall,) and would loved to have met a wizard outside her humble home one day. Why, if she had, she would’ve invited him in immediately, recognizing him without introductions. She would’ve served him tea and asked eagerly of all his adventures, and perhaps at that point she might’ve been invited on one. She only hoped she might have the fortune of meeting such an opportunity one day. Until then, she had to be happy with her simple life.
Once she had a family of her own, her hobbit-hole expanded, this time with a nursery (and of course, an extended pantry.) She began to think that she would never have a true adventure, and perhaps that was all right. Her hobbit-mind had begun to set in, and she was ready to be respectable.
It’s a good thing she still had a spunky bit hidden deep to pull the love pf adventure through until she needed it. She wouldn’t have been able to enjoy what comes next otherwise. You see, Gandalf did come back. This time the adventure was small, but he needed a hobbit nonetheless. Summer gladly volunteered. For the first time, she got to see elves and trolls and goblins, and all other sorts of frightful and wonderful things. She went on an exciting adventure, and came back not all the same. For years to come, she would be known as only slightly less respectable, and she liked it that way.
Being respectable was a load of tosh.

⇾ Daily #24 (hobbit hole) ⚘

(just going to quickly note how adorable this daily is <3)

If you’ll place your hand on the knob, give it a turn, and press a little, the first thing you'll want to notice is the way the door squeaks merrily.
It isn’t a screeching, rude sort of sound, rather, it seems like even the door is pleased to say hello to you.
The second thing you’re likely to notice is the way that the walls are covered in trinkets. Landscape paintings, hung instruments, and even a few documents pinned to the forest-green walls. Shelves seem to be on every wall, holding every kind of story imaginable. Science, history, legends, maybe even a mystery or two- for what is a good home without a little intrigue here and there?
Which, of course, means you certainly won’t notice the passages that weave between rooms willy-nilly.
The third thing you’ll notice is the way that the being in the center of it all seems to be doing a hundred little things at once.
She is sitting at a small table, singing to herself quietly, scribbling notes on a piece of parchment, all while taking a rest between lines of a song to take long drinks of her hot cocoa.
A shocking amount of hot cocoa.
You may notice the way that the kitchen has newspapers and books strewn about, for it is the owner's philosophy that there ought to be a little reading material in every room, even when one is taking a meal.
Light streams in a little window, sending specks of dust here and there. They twist and turn and spin about for a moment or two before finding a new place to rest, at least, until the next morning comes and the sun disturbs their peace again.
It manages to be a place of calm, even as the owner seems to change rooms and activities every few minutes, twiddling away on a piano one minute, reading the next, and maybe knitting a while later.
The house is a friendly little place to be.
It's strange, though.
Many a time, this house would inspire a feeling of home.
Not that the feeling of home is bad, it's simply not the word the owner would apply to their little abode.
Home is a place of rest.
This place, however, is a place for adventures.
There's a violin, isn't there? A piano? A harp?
There are books, aren't there? Paper? Pens?
Could you call a home a place of rest, when the best journies of life are taken there?
Home is where life happens.
And life is a journey in and of itself.

Planning (456 words)
Exposition:
Vigilantes Ghost and Executor are stopped by a girl named Candy, who works corners often enough that Executor gets invited for family dinners every other week or so. She explains to them that some of her friends/co-workers have recently been going missing. This was something Ghost and Executor knew but since they work on a case by case basis and you can never be too sure with a job like theirs if they’ve gone missing or just quit. Candy is able to given them the basics of the information that allows them to finally start investigating, a confirmation that she think it’s a kidnapping but isn’t sure if murder is also one of the motives.

Rising Action:
Ghost starts to follow through the shadows and trail after people he thinks might be at risks, in hoping of catching one instant of a kidnapping and then finding the location (but also if there’s anything that links the victims together.) while Executor attempts to trace down by witness testimonies where the girls were before they went missing and if there’s any evidence at the scene of the crime (such as hair from where it could have been potentially ripped out, something increasingly common since Capillam entered the scene without her eye.)

The Climax:
Using a stray piece of hair, Ghost, Executor and Capillam are able to trace down who the kidnappers are and through Ghost’s limited information, when and where their most likely to strike next. They go as a team to try and take down the villains with the power of trauma and spite, take them down with relative ease and begin to help everyone kidnapped out.

Falling Action:
WHAT DO YOU KNOW! These kind of crimes don’t put all their eggs on one shift, obviously. And there is an unexplained shift change mid way through. Is there another fight scene? Yes because I love fight scenes and you can’t argue with me, I’m the author. But this time they have to also stop a car? MAN IDK???

Resolution:
On a clean up roll, they discover that there were victims they were too late to rescue. Capillam wrecks herself over such information, Ghost promises to try and find out information while Executor starts to rip the place apart to find any leads on what’s happened to them now. They slowly begin to go back to their ordinary life but they all change. Capillam becoming more self-destructive to win fights that could lead to such later horrors. Ghost taking time to properly get a look on every girl he saves face to make sure she wasn’t one of them. Executor gets violent towards anyone who pays for the girls services, even if nothing illegal is actually happening.

Clues and Red Herrings! (359 words)
Candy’s Account: Candy was a good friend of several of the victims and comfortable sharing information with Ghost and Executor. She works in the same sector and can offer information to dispel over possibilities for the other girls appearances such as moving away or quitting their jobs. However, she was deeply afraid of what could happen to her, fitting the basic criteria for the missing girls, and parts of her account such as when she last saw some of the missing girls is unusable due to her making assumptions and not being fully remembering what was happening. Her account features many contradictions. No one else will offer Ghost and Executor an account.
Ghost’s not stalking: Ghost, our brilliant Ghost finds out WHO the criminals are but due to his stalking power only working in the dark and the main operation of the crime taking place in a well let are, with the purpose of serving as a ward against Ghost. SO. Obviously the best thing he can find is a vague sense of their identity. He is also unable to actually prevent the kidnapping of the latest victim in exchange for this info,
The scene of (one of) the crimes: One of the crime scenes, found through Candy’s account of the last known location of one of the victims, helps with evidence. Theres a stray hair, which brings Capillam into the case and with that their able to trace down who the kidnappers are. Alongside this, is confirmation that the kidnapper gets close to the kidnapped while she’s working.
The V’s reaction: V, despite by all means besides actually making sure the victims are actually okay being the boss of the gig these girls run, has been acting incredibly suspiciously. He's been removing the victims from his timetable but hasn’t been throwing a fit. He gets incredibly antsty when he suspects Executor is nearby and following him and has gotten rid of far more paperwork than reasonable. He’s also just generally antsty. However, his money doesn’t seem to be running out? Wonder why that would be. It’s because of his day job Executor. V has a day job Executor. You think his family thinks his job is respectable Executor

Interview (246 words on my end as interrogator) done with xXFierroOrFalafelXx
Hey! Wait! Gem! Gemmmyyyy! I heard about what happened to Fiona and if you have a few minutes before you have to leave for your next shift can you answer a few questions for me? Consider it a little break! I'll pay your boss if I make you run late.

Sure, I mean, the police clearly can barely figure it out, so why not get help from a teenager? better than nothing i suppose

Okay, okay, cool! I actually thought you'd say no but we're here now. I was curious when you last heard from Fiona. I mean, someone else told me that she always offered some of you guys a lift but she lived to far and was never offered. Did she take you home two nights ago? I'm trying to figure out a rough time estimate. Actually, do you know what would be great! When did she last go to work?

two nights ago? no, she offered though, but I declined. I needed that time alone. She gave a few other people rides. Let's see…oh maybe Vicent, Kira, Leslie J…I don't really remember. Wait, wait no. wait yes she did give me a ride but just to the pet shelter. I volinteer there occasionally. It was a short ride, so I guess that's why i didn't remember, but yes, I was in the car with them for just a few minutes

Right. Okay. I saw Kira on my way here but she was working and didn't want to disturb her. I'll need to make sure I ask her then. That probably means Fiona got nabbed after work. So, they must have been targetting her rather than grabbing anyone. Probabably. I mean, it's pretty weird that they'd get her when she drives right to her door rather than some poor guy who wandered down the wrong alley. Do you guys have a groupchat? Like, for the lifts? Was she active on there at all? God, this would
be easier if I could just ask the police what they already know. OR get her phone but nooooooo, that's important evidence.

oh no no sorry, this was after work. vincent kira and leslie j all usually take the bus and they live near each other, but fiona offered to take them home since it was on the way for her. sorry. um but yes we have a group chat. there;s really nothing interesting on it though. you know, it seems so obvious that it's one of them, but everybody is always just like oh that's just a gut feeling. But I mean…I think Vincent was having money troubles and he was about to have a baby."

I gotcha! No worries about the group chat and I'll go check out Vincent now! That's all I need but I'll come back if anything else comes up

The MYSTERY!! (637 words)
Executor watched V from the corner of the street where Roxie used to work. He’d planned to jump the man while he was making sure his employees were all at their stations but it had become evident that he had switched his route up to account for the missing people’s doing his dirty work.
“The most damning piece of evidence.” Ghost said through his ear, “Will be if he turns up to Roxie’s station at all. He shouldn’t know she’s missing yet unless one of the others snitched.”
That was the exact reason why Executor had chosen Roxie’s stop instead of Candy’s. He clicked his tongue and could practically hear Ghost rolling his eyes down the line. “Unlike you, I’m certain that Roxie wasn’t the most persistent of co-workers. They’ll think nothing of her silence.”
The one downside to waiting for V to check on Roxie was that she was always the last person he picked up. Executor checked his watch. V was running late.
Ten minutes of watching cars with busted headlights drive past and Ghost’s constant nattering in his ear about the current criminal he was dealing with, V’s car pulled up. V was a tall man, having several inches over Executor even in the vigilante’s heels. He was lean and perhaps if he had less pride, he’d make a penny doing his own work for once.
“I wasn’t expecting you here.” V said.
Executor walked up. V flinched, hard, stepping back multiple blocks. Executor grinned viciously. “Well, you should have. With Roxie being gone, did you think I wouldn’t notice eventually?”
“W-well, I know that you don’t re-really bump routes with Good Ol’ Rox.”
“Is that why Candy is still there? Because you know she’s on my patrol route, like, right by the start point and that checking in on her is basically part of my day.” Executor scowled, “That’s low and not smart enough.”
V stood incredibly still. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Executor walked until he was right in V’s face. He jabbed a finger at the man’s chest and snarled.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about.”
V took another step back. He was getting awfully close to his car, which would give him the opportunity to jump in the backseat. The driver would be ready for such an order. Executor wouldn’t stand a chance and he’d lose his only possible lead in this case.
“I know what you’re thinking and it’s not that! What do I earn from making my own girls disappear Executor. I’m a team leader. Surely you wouldn’t sell out your own partners?”
“Our working relationship is different, you see, we’re co-workers not boss and employee.”
V grinned. “Well then, what would you know about how I manage my work here? I’m a bit stressed because I’ve lost a large sum of my potential money and I can hardly make the shifts longer before they make use of their threat to unionize.”
“Maybe they should unionize anyways, to stop you trying to make immediate profit at the first sign that certain employee’s weren’t doing as well freelancing as you’d like. There’s just so many desperate people who’d take up your offer here. Who cares about the collateral.”
V sneered. He turned his back on Executor and started to walk away. Executor demanded to know who he thought he was for daring to leave, despite how V could get such a boy stepped on like a bug with a snap of his fingers. “Since you refuse to listen to my answers. I will not listen to your questions. Now, I need to go and check none of my other employee’s have gone missing.” V slipped into the car, slammed the door.
The car drove away. “That could have gone better.” Ghost piped up in Executor’s ear.

Nintendo did use this multiple times in their games, which is why some might sound familiar.

prompt: “It was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort…” To honour Tolkien Reading Day tomorrow, let's take a breather to really fall into Middle Earth ;) Hobbit-holes, our heroes' lovely underground homes, have come to be a fixture of Tolkien's cultural impact. Describe what your own personal hobbit hole might look like - the ambiance, the bookshelves, the secret passageways in your cellar; include details! 400 words for 400 points, and an extra 100 points for providing proof.
The wind rustled through the forest. The trees rested upon the foothills of the mountains of the realm Birdwood. Here, Vi lived in a little place in the side of one of the hills. It was once a fox den, and she found it when she first visited the land. She loved the village and its people, and she had also discovered the old fox hole.

She had stood inside, turning slowly around and taking in every aspect of it.

“Ahhh…” she had sighed. “Perfect.”

Only a month later Vi moved in. Of course, she had a door built first. It was made of oak, and there was a half-circle of a window built in the top. The door handle was one of those antique ones in an S-shape. There were no other windows than the one on the door, and while Vi wished there could be more sunlight in the house, it was still a wonderful place.

Out front were some rose bushes and a path leading to the door. Wildflowers were scattered throughout the yard; it was a true cottage daydream.

When the door was opened, one could take a quick peek inside. To the left of the door in the somewhat oval shaped room was an entry table. It had two doors and an empty level on the bottom. There was a cream colored table cloth on it with two candles. Above the table on the dirt wall was a gold-rimmed mirror. The mirror reflected back not only oneself, but an iron wood-burning stove with a stack of wood stored nearby. There were two armchairs and a rug. On the right chair was where Vi would snuggle up with a book, often *Pride & Prejudice,* and read late into the night. On the left side of the room was the kitchen. There was a small fridge (somehow electricity was available in the rural magical town) and a counter. There were cabinets and plenty of storage for all the tools and food in the kitchen.

On the right side of the room was a little alcove with a twin-sized bed tucked in. There were bookshelves on either side filled with so many books it overflowed onto the floor. Vi hoped to declutter it someday, but she was not in a hurry.

The bathroom was a small building outside built by courtesy of the village. There was running water and any bathroom essential.
Overall, this little hobbit hole was Vi’s home. It was a perfect place that she hoped to live in for a long time…

That sounds awesome! Let's do it!! I don't have a lot of fantasy characters. I think I just have one or two, but we can make it work. So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD
i like it! it is to the point, and says exactly what it needs to say! i am not sure how we could shorten it, but we can do that if we need to.

extremely rushed daily

You’re walking along the hillside when you see a peculiar sight. A small home, carved into its side. The door is a deep blue, rimmed by a circle of oak. An assortment of pots lay discarded outside, caked with dirt. On either side, two circular windows are carved out. Long grass obscures them from view, a cluster of vines creeping upwards. Leading up to the house, a small walkway, with silvers of stone, obscured by layers of moss and weeds. It is lined by sets of colorful flowers, overgrown and wild.

Inside, dressers line the walls, clothes spilling out from them like water leaking from a broken pipe. Piles lie unfolded, a sea of color stretching across the floor. To the far side, a kitchen, plates stacked neatly next to the sink. A small cabinet to hold spices, organized by color. Next to it, a circular table, decorated with a light blue tablecloth, embroidered with lilacs. At the center, a small glass vase holds a bundle of irises.

A long hall branches off from this main room, dimly lit by a few lanterns. You begin to walk down it, until you reach a smaller room. It looks to be a bedroom. In the center, sits the bed, covered in light green sheets. The walls are painted a dark purple, accented with gold around the edges. Posters hang from nails.

By the night stand, a small collection of mushrooms sits atop a wooden box. Curious, you open it. Inside, there are many different types of jewelry, from necklaces, to bracelets and rings. Many seem to be handmade, gold wire wrapped carefully around various crystals. You open a few of the drawers, but they are all empty.

You move onto the desk, which is overcrowded with different kinds of pens and pencils, and stacks of papers scattered everywhere. Off to the side, a candle burns, thin wick alight. It has a pleasant aroma, one that reminds you of sweet summer rain.

A small notebook sits open, displaying a half-finished drawing. A tall figure, holding a map in their hand, a traveler's backpack on their shoulders. Motivated by some peculiar urge, you reach for a pencil, grasping it carefully in your hand. Hesitantly, you press it against the paper, beginning to draw. As you allow your instinct to take control, your fingers sweep across the page in long, delicate strokes. You make yourself comfortable in the plush velvet armchair, leaning over your work.

i hope everything works out for you and your family <3

i came here to say something similar — my neighbour’s shed and yard is currently on fire (third fire in my town in five days for some reason) and it appears to be under control but there’s a chance something will happen and my activity will be interrupted

This is what I've got for the history. (I'm not really sure if we are using identity-first only or a mix of terms. What I've typed can be changed.) I need to maybe shorten it, but for now, how's this?
In 1970, an organization known as Autism Society saw the need to raise public awareness on autism and provide support to autistic people. Because of this, the Autism Society founded Autism Awareness Month. Every April, Autism Awareness Month is celebrated to help educate others about autism.
Autism Acceptance Month was a different name later proposed by autistic advocates to change the negative images of autism sometimes shown in autism awareness media. The world may be aware of autism, but acceptance is needed too since there is still a lot of discrimination and bullying toward those on the spectrum. We need both because they work together.
To show your support, you can wear red on April 2nd (World Autism Awareness/Acceptance Day). Only by working together can we create more understanding about autism and help autistic people!

Sorry for not having it done a bit sooner.

Alright! I have a trio from one of my high fantasy stories that I like to use, so we could do that if you have a couple fantasy characters you want to play? (I feel like it's a little easier if they're from the same genre, then we don't have someone constantly explaining what a toaster is or stuff like that)

btw when I say high fantasy I just mean that the entire book is set in a different, magical world, like the lord of the rings/wings of fire/wingfeather saga, while low fantasy is set in our world (with magic) or has someone travel from our world to another, like KOTLC, harry potter, percy jackson, etc.

They way we did it before was basically just that the characters get dumped into this empty room or void, and then they have nothing to do but talk to the other characters, which works well if basically all we want them to do is talk to each other (and occasionally fight each other xD). Or we could do something simple like they just got inexplicably yeeted into the woods and now they're just walking around the forest, which gives oppurtunities for some cool actiony stuff.

hobbit hole

My hobbit hole would mostly be a library, full of comfy pillows and alcoves. There would be a desk with little fidget toys and trinkets around it, but still plenty of space to write and comfortable but sturdy chair so i could sit at my desk for a long time. The shelves are lined with all sorts of genres. I have many modern favorites, about also classics, spanning back as far as the epic of gilgamesh, every wall is covered in maps and family trees, and the lighting is soft and warm. Some of it comes from a remodeled old-fashioned street lamp i keep by the entryway to this room. It reminds me of narnia and makes me laugh when i think about the hijinks lewis and tolkien got into and how much tolkien hated narnia but still loved his friend. It helps me out when i need to remember that my friends can still love me and not love everything i make. In another part of my hobbit hole there is an art room, the shelves are lined with my projects and very few ever go unfinished because i don’t lose motivation the way i do now. There’s clay, paints, materials for sewing, the table is covered in many marks left by my woodcarving. My kitchen always has some delicious smell in it, and i keep my food in glass jars, there’s a very cute spice rack and a gorgeous teapot. I have comfort foods i like to cook often, but i have many cookbooks and i’m not so stressed about time, so I try new recipes a few times a week. I have a beehive just outside that I get honey from–there’s also wildflowers growing all around because I want the bees to have stuff they would naturally have– and I’m working on a vegetable garden, which i carefully tend every day. In my kitchen is a radio with all of my favorite music, because it’s always better to cook when you have music. At night I go into my bedroom which is quiet and soft. I have artwork from my friends on the walls, and copies of my own books on a small shelf. Most of these books have been published but these are my original manuscripts. My cat is on the bed and she meows when she sees me, demanding chin scratches, which i give her as I sit on my bed, content with the day and finishing up just a few more chapters of my book before a turn off the light and everything becomes that deep gray where you can see enough to navigate if your eyes adjust, but it’s still dark enough to sleep, and I close my eyes. In my hobbit hole, time moves much more slowly.

3/24 - Weekly
Plot Points:
1: The Jewelry store is robbed–lights flash and alarms beep as every single thing of value is viciously ripped from the shelves as the mysterious thief leaves into the night. The thief is careful not to leave any trace of their identity–or so they think. When the owner gets there the next day, he immediately reports the crime.
2: Detective Jeong examines the crime scene, and eventually brings back all the evidence she can find–an eyelash, found in one of the now empty jewelry displays, an earrings that fell onto the floor in the chaos, and a single blurry video of the crime when it occurred in the middle of the night.
3: Jeong examines the evidence and after many months of work, narrows it down to two suspects. She questions them both separately and then together, but both their stories hold up. When both the suspects are allowed to go free, Jeong faces scorn for going after the wrong people and eventually resigns.
4: Jeong does extra investigating since she no longer has a job, and eventually catches someone when the thief strikes again, this time stealing money from a grocery store! Jeong takes the money and brings in back to the police station along with the thief, but she isn't believed and they let her leave with the money!
5: Jeong is revealed to be the one who stole the goods all along, under the false pretense of investigating the crime. She disappears into the night once more, leaving nothing behind except a note making fun of everyone who failed to see her involvement. She keeps the jewelry and the money.

Red Herrings and Clues:
Red herring one: jewelry store owner. his alibi didn't hold up, and Jeong thought he was the one who stole the valuables and accuses him. He was one of the suspects she had to let go and lost her job over. readers are meant to think he is guilty when he seems nervous during his interrogation.
Clue one: Detective Jeong slips up and wears the set of earrings that were used as evidence–she uses the excuse that she ‘just wants to get into the thief’s mindset' and people generally believe her, even though they were her earrings all along and had been a gift from her mother. Readers are meant to believe Jeong but not believe the suspect.
Red herring two: Detective Jeong mentions that the necklace of the other apprehended suspect looks exactly like one of the stolen ones, though the suspect quickly defends themself saying their mother gave it to them. Jeong is suspicious but doesn't pry further. The reader is meant to think they did it, when Jeong used a similar excuse and was believed.
Clue two: Jeong has a habit of ripping her eyelashes out in a moment of stress–and as it so happens, the eyelash found in the crime scene disappeared before it could be sent to a DNA lab. Readers are meant to not think of this as anything, until the final moment when everything clicks together.

Final Scene:

The alarms blared as the thief ripped things from their shelves and containers, lights flashing as they frantically made their escape. They dipped out of sight just as the vivid sirens from the police pulled up to the store. But they weren't able to catch them before the slipped out the back entrance and disappeared into the night. Jeong pulled up to the jewelry store not much later, notepad in hand and ready to investigate. After asking around and finding not a single witness, she headed through the heavy door and into the wrecked store. Bending down to examine the case for the necklace closest to the door, she spotted a single eyelash on the dusty glass. She gently grabbed it with her tweezers and slipped it into an evidence bag. After watching the security cam footage, she was able to find an earring that must have slipped from the thief's ear. She took the evidence back to her home to start her investigation.

Three weeks after the crime, Jeong took her work and evidence down to the police station. She technically worked for them, so they had to arrest whomever she said as long as their was reasonable evidence supporting her suspects. But the police chief was obviously surprised by who she told him to arrest–the jewelry store owner and the owner of the large apartment building next door. Jeong was able to question them the next day. First, she spoke to the man who owned the jewelry store. He acted as if he had no reason to steal from himself, but most of the jewelry was bought with a credit card, meaning it wasn't really his money. He seemed increasingly nervous about it, too. Stealing it would ensure he kept it–but he wouldn't be able to sell it. At least not in the same country. The owner of the apartment building next door was incredibly rich–but that didn't mean she didn't have a motive. One of the items in that store was incredibly rare and heavily sought after, since there were only seven in the entire world. She had made it clear she wanted it before, and this gave her the opportunity to steal it. Jeong flicked a loose eyelash off her finger, flinching when the apartment building owner narrowed her eyes.
“Bad habit,” Jeong explained.
She didn't seem convinced. And when Jeong looked at her outfit more carefully…
“Where did you get that necklace?”
Without missing a beat, she answered “my mother gave it to me. Why? And what about your earrings?”
“…My mother gave them to me.” Jeong sighed. Without any incriminating evidence, she had to let them go. The police chief laughed at her on her way out, and some other officers gave snickers.
She resigned the next day. If they laughed at her, she would show them all. She would solve it quicker than them. But then, the grocery store across the street from her house is robbed in broad daylight. She storms into the store, demanding to examine the crime scene–but without her detective status, she is declined.
When an officer shows up the next day to take her statement, he found her house mysteriously empty.
But when he turned around, he saw a message scrawled into the dirt in front of her house.
His heart dropped in his chest when he read it. ‘Maybe I should’ve given you guys some of the money so you could hire a competent police department. LOL.'
And they never saw her again. (586 words)

What colors: Doesn't really matter, but a mix would be nice
Amount of time: ASAP
Theme: Nice and friendly kind of thing, relaxing background with nice colors ig.
Where we notify you: On the Project Listed: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/731019661/
Extra: I'm fairly good at coding, but pretty trash at art, so I'll need like 10 different backgrounds (some simple, other complex, and if you'd like then you can change existing art, (create new costumes for stuff). At some point I'd probably like a thumbnail too, but that's not as important.
Thanks!

I’ll take this order. For sure I’m not gonna make all 10 backgrounds, but I’m gonna make a few and create new costumes for some things.
It wouldn’t make sense for scratch themselves to make a book club.

You however, can make your own and invite people.
