Are love songs inappropriate? Can I use songs with swear words? What if the song has bad words but has a good meaning? What if a song has no bad words but has a bad meaning? Will I get reported if I use a song that can be offensive to people who are watching my project?

Could an 8-year-old listen to it? If no, then don't use it.

What about the 8-year-old who's deaf? Then I can't use anything.

That's not what they mean. They mean would the song be appropriate for a 8-year-old to listen to as all projects should be appropriate for all ages (8 is used as the benchmark commonly).

fully bleep out swear words. send the bleeped out lyrics to ChatGPT and ask is it safe for an 8 yr old.
