People join scratch… After a week they get at least 1000 views on a project. How does this happen? Is it that the name of the scratcher is common and popular?

HOWWWW??????
Most of the time these kinds of scratchers have already been on scratch for multiple years and know many different strategies to get popular fast. I myself do not know or want to use these strategies, but they do so it might be a good idea to ask them. While the name may have something to do with their popularity, that is usually not the case.
Usually, they are already experienced with scratch and how to get up on the explore page. Another way, my game theory is that they just recycle the same stuff other people are making that already gets views, they just change small aspects of it. But most of the time they probably aren't actually brand new to scratch

Ahem.
CREATE GOOD PROJECT, ADD PROJECT TO STUDIOS, ADVERTISE PROJECT AND ADVERTISE YOUR SCRATCH PROFILE.
or it could be another use of tags
A possibility is they make a good sds project, sds projects can get on the front page. I'm saying this because my most popular project was in an sds.
SDS is a good way to get your project popular.

But it's usually they've been on Scratch before, tag spamming, or making a quality generic game*
