greetings, myth campers!

as we've reached our session halfway point, it seems the oracle has finally decided to speak up and grant you a quest. this isn't for the faint of heart, as it will test your teamwork and creativity, as you take on the challenge of… a collaborative story!

a few notes to begin:
- as this is set in a land of myths and magic, feel free to put your own mythical spin on everything - creatures, legends, gods/goddesses, and much more, but make sure to stick to the scratch guidelines, and avoid triggering topics (excessive violence, for example)
- your contributions can be as long or short as you'd like (within reason, of course) - the goal is participating!
- please respond with all of your contributions in this forum, but avoid quoting previous posts in order to keep things neat and organized
- and most of all… have fun with this! collab stories are a great opportunity to get to know your fellow campers, collect some more words, and explore the myths and legends our dear cabin is built on <3

the story begins… now!

best regards,
the goddesses
entry one

three goddesses, three talents, and three times the trouble.

the first and eldest sister was born of the skies, always yearning for what lied beyond the furthest star. her words were her weapon, wielding them with practiced ease and precision, never saying too much or too little. a goddess of curiosity, perpetually seeking the unknown, and chasing the depths of what this life can hold, yet still balancing one foot on the ground - just enough to stir up the second sister's mischief.

the middle sister was born of the moon, silver solemnity with a splash of sass. her heart was pure as gold, her eyes the color of copper, and her personality like the sparkling beams of light cast by passing fireflies. beware the goddess of auras, they said, for she will see into the depths of your desire and pick apart the pieces of your soul - before causing glorious chaos, hand and hand with tyrants.

the youngest sister was born of the midnights, caught in the captivity of her thoughts more often than not. it was only for brief moments that she wasn't lost in the depths of her mind, reexamining the past over and over until every possible solution had been processed. she was the goddess of regret, forever destined to late nights of contemplation and overthinking and while her thoughts could be a frightening place, sometimes, she never turned down the chance to join in her sisters' fun.

they were a mischievous bunch, leaving a trail of tricks in their wake as they made their way around the world, chasing curiosity, auras, and regret. perhaps it was an unusual sister trio, a mix of those who yearn, those who dream, and those who ponder, but just as the eldest would manage the skies, the youngest kept her curiosity in balance, and the second born reminded them both of the laughter.

'twas the goddess of curiosity that first uncovered the camp, disguised as a strawberry field and hidden by the magic of deities much more ancient than the sisters. yet, it sparked their interest - for such a camp must be riddled with mystery. thus they descended from their heavenly perch to the ground where our demigods dwelled…

Jade is an INTP with electric blue hair. She is always has headphones around her neck, and has double battle axes that turn into bracelets. She is a daughter of Asteria, titan goddess of stars and night time divination. Jade can see in the dark as well as read the stars for signs of the future. Her best friend is a child of Apollo a year younger than her named Kennedy.

I was training in the arena, as I always am, when the night sky flashed and three goddesses appeared.
I stared for a moment before yelling out to all the people sleeping, “Uh, guys! We’ve got a situation here!” I shouted, spinning my axes back into bracelets. I didn’t want to seem threatening.
I hadn’t seen these goddesses in legends before. Were they new? How did I not hear about it before? Questions flooded my head. The stars hadn’t given any signs of new birth, or visitations, or generally any indication anything would be happening tonight. I grabbed out my deck of fortune-telling cards that Kennedy had gotten me for my birthday not too long ago and shifted through them before picking a card at random.
New arrivals. It read. I rolled my eyes. “I guessed as much.” I growled before turning towards the people come down.
“Hello.” One said softly, eyes glittering with the same color as my axes.
“Um, hello.” I responded, nervously collecting up my deck into one pile and slipping them into my pocket. Finally, people began to come outside in a combination of pajamas and armor, running towards me. I was the only one fully dressed, but that happens when you are essentially nocturnal and have a lot of practice you need with your axes.
The three stared around camp, looking… was it shocked? Surprised? Content? I’m not very good at reading emotions.
“Jade, who are these goddesses?” Someone hissed in my ear. I turned.
Dalia is an Aphrodite kid. She is always dressed in cargo pants and combat boots. Dalia wears a gold ring that turns into a broadsword. She has biokinesis which means she can change her appearance and the appearance of others at will.

I stand there and look at Jade, hoping for answers. “Your whole thing is divination after all!” “I can't see everything Dalia,” Jade says and shrugs her shoulders. I sigh. I then take in the goddesses and I can see that they appear to glow. The tallest one appears to look like a cloud. The bottom of her keeps shifting around and taking different shapes. The middle one appears to be similar to moonlight. As she surveys the camp it feels like she is staring into my very soul and reading my inner desires. The smallest one is as dark as the midnight sky. When I look at her I suddenly feel a deep sadness and a twinge of regret about my past mistakes. I shake my head to try to snap myself out of it. I look around at the other kids, none of them look like they are going to figure out who these goddesses are. “I guess Aphrodite will have to do it,” I mutter and shake my head. As I walk toward the mysterious trio I flick off my ring and it transforms into a gleaming broadsword. “Who are you? Are you friend or foe?” I use my biokinesis to put my hair up in a ponytail and prepare to defend camp if necessary.
“We are friends.” The goddesses murmured. Jade relaxed slightly. They weren’t lying. She had trained herself to know these things.
“Um, may I ask why you visited?” Jade asked politely, staring up at the figures. They gently landed onto the grass. A breeze rippled through the crowd of campers that had gathered.
“We were… curious.” One said. She seemed to be the eldest, and they all seemed to be sisters. “This place seems out of place.”
Jade snorted. “You could say that.” She muttered. A few people in the crowd gave her dirty glares and she spread her hands. “What, you all know it’s true. We’re all a bunch of weirdos who ended up in the same place.”
One goddess tilted her head. “Do you regret coming here?”
Jade was taken aback. “I- what? No, of course not! This place is home, no matter how much I make fun of it.”
“Mmm…”
“What kind of goddesses are you? I’ve never seen you before!” Someone barked from the crowd. Gasps rose up. They might be minor gods, but they were gods nonetheless. They could turn you into a watermelons, or a procrastination potato! They were still immortal.
