hi sophia! sorry this took a bit, but you can follow this and we can begin planning! so, a slight change of plans relating to genres, i'm sure we can of course have something you wanted, but our theme this session as you know is hogwarts, so we're going to kind of theme the cabin's off each hostie's hogwarts house! We'll also probably have to double up on hogwarts houses, however, so there is still a slight chance we'll get to just pick one.
I'm a hufflepuff, so our cabin is probably going to be hufflepuff based!
just curious, what's your house? :0

so like i said, it's hard to start really specifically planning since me and the other hosts are still kind of sorting things out, but did you have any general ideas you wanted to bring up? (haha sorry that's vague, just trying to start on something)

i don't have an idea for the storyline yet but - i'm guessing our house will just be called “hufflepuff”? or would it most likely be named the “hufflepuff common room” and the page counting groups are the dormitories? i think our color palette would also be the hufflepuff colors right ^^

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well! I guess the link to the main cabin could be like ‘hogwarts main campus’ or something like that ^^ so, fun fact, i know like enough about harry potter to know my house and a good amount of information, but i've only read half the first book and even then it was a while ago lol :'D so if you know more (which it seems like you do) i'll probably leave it to you to figure out harry potter related details and get all the information right lol!

adsfjlsd it's the same for me, i too have a pretty vague idea of the whole harry potter series ToT i just searched up “hufflepuff rooms” on google to be honest - but i've read at least 5 books when i was younger so i can provide the information that i know whenever you need it

do you have a canva account, so we can figure out all the design details later on?

haha alright, thank you though that's perfect. so again about genres, we decided that naming our houses something relating to the hp houses (like naming our house something with hufflepuff) would be copying the books, so we're not doing that. we're going to just select a theme and a genre that matches the vibe of hufflepuff! i'll update you once we figure more out.

and, it's a confusing story. kind of? I had a school account, but there was this thing where they changed our account names to our real names, and we couldn't change them again, and we couldn't delete the account, so there was kind of a dilemma with raya deleting me from all her stuff/src stuff. so i think i could potentially get another account? but it wouldn't be as open to different elements as the school one was (because it isn't an education account)

ah that's okay - i think we do need to rely on canva for the thumbnails and everything, so if you can get one that would be awesome ^^ i don't have any premium subscriptions either lol

Ok that all sounds perfect! i'll try to get an account today ^^ and then yeah, i can create a blank design for the thumbnail and give you the link and then once we start getting genres and themes figured out we can start designing!

oh, yes, sorry i completely forgot to tell you! together we need to select a genre for the house. so for your app you had fable/fables, historical fantasy, dystopian, and fantasy. I honestly think fables could be pretty fitting towards hufflepuff :0 but what's your opinion?

ooh, it could work well - especially looking at the hufflepuff house's values: hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play. if we chose fables, it would be really cool to incorporate animals into our theme!

yeah that would be so cool! of course hufflepuff badger hehe <3 but the values for hufflepuff also relate to a lot of things they teach you in fables as well (although i guess fables can teach you just about anything lol)
if there were fables with animals in them teaching the values of hufflepuff, we could somehow incorporate those into our storyline as well! i'm getting like kind of foresty/outdoorsy vibes from what we're going with also. the first thing i thought of was fable forest, but that's pretty basic, maybe we could keep trying to think of more.

i'm getting forest vibes as well xD so i was thinking we could include aesop's fables (since they are very well known) as some part of the cabin, maybe as a “fable of the day” or part of the storyline. speaking of the storyline, maybe during the session the campers are on a journey (like traveling a trail/path through possibly different regions) and they meet unique animals along the way, who give them words of advice?

that would be cool! maybe the currency could be like scrolls or something, like if they did the daily and read the daily fable in the cabin, the designated animal could give them a scroll with the lesson they learned or advice or words of wisdom or something on it! <3
i'm going to tell the other hosties that fable is our genre!

So, I remember what we were thinking earlier was like an animal each day and then they like have a lesson for you? And we could probably put a short little fable in the desc/comments each day (although it's hard to say if i'd be able to add to the desc, so for that i might make you studio host)

I just read your canva comment, yes that's pretty much what we've discussed so far! Yeah, we could have an animal each day and then we could have scrolls as the currency. Then we could have a certain amount like you said, to get to the destination. And then maybe they could get pfps and/or banners with scrolls, and each day a new animal that we use in the fable could be unlocked to have in the pfps! we could probably have a good starting few.

bahaha i've never had so much fun designing a cabin before <33 everything's fitting together so perfectly, this is going to be so great!!

- i think the starting few animals should be more common or well-known ones (like the hare and the tortoise), and probably after that animals that are more complicated to draw heheh
- do you think changing animals every day would be too much work? i'm also not sure if we would be able to think up like 30 animals. in addition, the campers may not get the chance to notice every one of them. maybe each 2 or 3 days it's changed, would that work better?
- do you think it would be cool to have a project that's a drawing of a map (like a diagram of boxes with lines connecting them to one another) and every time we unlock an animal, the boxes fills up day by day (it would be an empty rectangle and then we would add the picture of the animal in there). so like “day 1, ‘hare’ (insert picture of hare clipart)” then the final box will be a picture of the destination, once we reach the end of camp? so we would basically be unlocking levels as the session goes by. sorry if none of this makes sense, just throwing ideas out there xD

by the way, my activity levels will drop the first few days of april because i'll be on vacation </3 so i won't be able to update the description then

that sounds so cool :00 definitely should do that, the campers will be interested in that i think and it could be motivational to unlock each animal as well!

i would probably say we should start the storyline as like ‘you’re waiting at the trail head for your guides' or something like that, me and you come up, we start leading them on the trail, maybe talk about like ‘the history of the trail’ or something, talk about how lots of important things (fables) have happened in these woods/trail, touch on a few animals or the idea of animals? that's what i was thinking, you can add whatever you'd like :>
