Change "Cat" and "Flying Cat" sprites to "Scratch Cat" and Flying Scratch Cat". And change "Cat2" to just "Cat".

I mean, the Scratch Cat is the basically the “symbol” or mascot, for scratch. And people all the time say “Scratch Cat” instead of just “cat”. So I think the ST should rename it “Scratch Cat” on both sprites.
Pros:
  • Shows that the cat is the mascot for the sprite
  • Easy to do
  • Just plain nice to have.
Cons:
  • idk
If you have any cons, or pros. Please tell me so I can list them here! And if this is a dupe. Tell me and give the link!

I guess that would work too. Guess I have to change the title a bit.

The name “Cat” makes it feel more like you can edit the sprite and do whatever you want with it – it doesn't necessarily have to be used as the mascot of Scratch.

But we have the other cat sprite. And doesn't Scratch encourage people to be creative in some way? I don't see why people couldn't use it for something else.

Meh, the cat can be recoloured and stuff to make it NOT a Scratch Cat. So I'd say keep it as Cat. Keeps creativity running.

Yes, but the default cat is the Scratch Cat. You can also say that about other sprites.
