My mom has that. I think it was for her birthday.
So, instead of looking at a dead tree and hallucinating, I can look at a dead metal and hallucinate?

Is there anything else besides reading you can do on a Kindle (without modding it)?

Most of my family uses a Kindle Fire (including me!), so I disagree with your opinion. The only people in my family that don't use one are my parents (which is understandable.)

the appstore exists
Me and my brother used to have a Kindle Fire way back the early-mid 2010’s and I remember playing so much Minecraft on there lol. I have a memory of the both of us playing Minecraft while my parents brushed our teeth lol (both of us were under 10). I also remember trying one of those herobrine spawners on youtube (the one with the gold and netherrack with the torch on top) and thinking that one Pocket Edition herobrine video was real. Recently I found it and tried to use it again but it kept bootlooping, even opened it up but the only thing I could find online was that the battery may have been faulty. Rest in piece my Kindle Fire 1st gen 2013 - 2023.

check the generation in dev options

You don't need to go to dev options. You can just find “About fire tablet” in settings. Search, “About fire tablet” in the search bar, then you'll see the option. Click on it, then you'll be teleported to, “Device options” scroll down a bit until you see “About fire tablet” then it'll show your generation.
