My suggestion is a date tag.
How would it work?
This is an example placement of a date tag:
The date tag would be used to show a word like Today or Yesterday if the date put into it was in the last few days, much like the dates on forum posts.
The above code is only one idea of how the date is inserted into the block. (It obviously wouldn’t use what I used there, because other countries besides America put that in a different order.)
Why would it be useful?
Example 1: Say @RandomUser is making a post about his party he’s having in a studio, and it’s only on that day. The day before, he types in his forum post, “The party is tomorrow!”. Then, the next day, someone goes on and sees it. They plan to visit the studio the next day. The next day, they get to the studio - and the party’s over.
That sounds a bit far-fetched, but you get the idea.
Here are some suggestions of how it might be in more detail from other forumers.
The title was originally “Time Tag”, but I thought “Date Tag” would be more accurate.

The super-duper Scratch party is [date]28/2/2024[/date]

the blue controller site has a feature like this, and it translates into everyone's timezone so this would be a nice feature to have if it was similar to that.
The title was originally “Time Tag”, but I thought “Date Tag” would be more accurate.

Can't you look at the activity? Or, in the forums, when it was posted?

The leap day is 2 days ago what if it was 2 days ago
or
The leap day is 2 months ago
could extend to “year” or even “decades”
(imagine future archeologists dig up the scratch servers and go in and see “The leap day is 15 decades ago” lol)

wdym theyre your boss?I own a federation on the Requests forum, and they are staff there.
I'm not quite sure why they're worried I'd fire them because they disagreed with me on the Suggestions forum.

Ok, so like this?:
When was that?
{time} 9/11/2001{/time} (would say 8,216 days ago)RIght? ]Uuuhhh (too lazy to do the math)…..

It might convert to months and then years, like the comments do. Ok, so like this?:When was that?Uuuhhh (too lazy to do the math)…..9/11/2001 (would say 8,216 days ago)RIght?
(Therefore, “23 years ago”, if we're being like the comments, which don't show the exact date after all that time.)
It could also show the exact date ago with years and months, or it could be like what you were saying.
Whatever's best.

So, Por Ejemplo, the date is far out. Let's say
Scratch is going to turn 20 on [date]15-5-27[/date]
Will it just display days until or round weeks, months, years, etc? and what about all of the other formats you can make a date, e.g. the format the Americans use where the months and days are switched?
Scratch is going to turn 20 on [date]5-15-27[/date]
Can this be made interchangeable?- no. I think there would be a bump down the road if you used this feature. Say an American who did not know the syntax of the “Time Tag” was going to have their super-duper Scratch party on January the second.
The super-duper Scratch party is [date]1/2/2024[/date]!
The computer, which is hypothetically instructed to use the other syntax, will display the date as February 1st. You see the problem this presents right? Scratchers, active and inactive from the United States make up a whopping 33.82% of scratch, which is approximately 434,757,93 registered users give or take. Given that other people might use the US' system as well, that is only more Scratchers that have the potential to make that mistake. I think it is too complicated and too easy to get mess up to implicate in Scratch

Like I was saying, it probably wouldn't be inserted in the ##/##/#### format. *snip*
