Signed out constantly on ChromeOS (Fixed)

Update: All the issues randomly stopped occurring as of March 19th. I believe it was due to this flappy bird extension on my Chromebook, which chrome randomly blocked today for apparently being unsafe. I uninstalled it, lost wifi so I couldn't check, and just now I went to the main Scratch website and it was fixed! I will still keep this up just in case anyone experiences similar issues.

My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 14541.0.0, Chrome 120.0.0.0, No Flash version detected
March 5th, 2024: I have updated this to be MUCH easier to read.

The Issue
This started happening on the 23rd of February. I went to the main Scratch website and signed in as usual. After checking out a project and returning to the main page, I was signed out again. Confused, I signed back in and checked my messages. After clicking the back arrow on my browser, I was signed out again!

Methods of Being Signed Out
1. Going to the main website page or refreshing on it (every time)
2. Clicking on messages from discussion forums (very common)
3. Being in messages and clicking the back arrow on my browser to go back to discussion forums (somewhat common)
4. Clicking on messages from someone's profile (very common)
5. Going into messages without being signed out, clicking on a link to discussion forums, signing back in, somewhat likely to get redirected to the main scratch page and signed out again (not too common)

Extra Info
I have tested on my other devices listed below and have not experienced issues:
-Mac (chrome browser)
-iPad (safari browser)
-iPhone (safari browser)
-Windows (chrome browser)

I have updated my device twice and cleared my cookies in the last hour once and issues are still occurring. (Updating my device again reverted the cookie clearing changes)

My Chromebook has built-in extensions including a filtering software and adblocker (I won't name them exactly because Scratch doesn't like that), so I'm unsure if those are causing any issues, since I wasn't experiencing issues until the date of this post.

It's fine for me on mac, so I guess it's good to know it's not just for ChromeOS. I saw another post of someone having (most likely) the same issue on ChromeOS though.

Hm, maybe it could depend on extensions? We do have the exact same versions after all..

Either A) You have cookies disabled (This can mean websites will forget you're signed in), or B) You logged into an alt in the same browser.

I just checked, and I have third party cookies allowed (can't have them disabled in any way due to my district having them enabled). Secondly, I usually only get signed out once when I open Scratch (because I log into my devices at home), and after logging in, I STAY signed in the whole time, and don't sign into my other account. I shouldn't be getting signed out EVERY TIME I go to the main Scratch page (scratch.mit.edu)..

I have a screen recording from my chromebook of the issue, but I'm unsure of how to upload it to the forums as a gif or something.

Send the video to somewhere like GoFile or FileDitch (don't use Google Drive), then send the link here.

Maybe I could post it to youtube and send a link here.. Im at school rn so I'm unable to do it at the moment.
bump I need more possible reasons
do you have your account logged in on another device? scratch can only handle one instance of an account at one time, so check other devices if you have them

I do sign in on other devices, but I only have to log in once and I stay signed in until I log into another device. The problem is that I keep getting signed out despite having already signed in (and at school I really can only sign into one device, my chromebook).

this is actually really weird, if you think you’ve been hacked change your password
ive never heard of this happening before, im starting to get suspicious there’s someone working in the background on your account

I feel like if I was hacked, the password would have been changed by now and I wouldn't be able to sign in on my 3 other devices, so I'm not too worried about being hacked. I'll still change my password just to be safe.
(I'm gonna try screen recording some footage on my chromebook and upload it to youtube on another account, the quality is pretty bad though)
I just now uploaded a video, link is in the op.
bump I'm still having the issue ;-;
Welp, I just discovered a new way of getting signed out, adding that to the op I guess ;-;

Do not bump a thread until it's been at least 24 hours since the last post.

Try clearing your cookies and site data for the website, and see if the issue persists. There could be a malformed cookie.

How do I do that?
Update: The issue has been.. uh.. very partially solved. Now it takes 2 refreshes on the scratch website to sign me out compared to just one. (ex. I sign in, go to a project, go back to the main page, go back to a project, I'm signed out.) I still get signed out when opening up a new page, and I'm still experiencing multiple of the same issues as before.

Edit: Updated my device and the changes got reverted. RIP ;-;

Are you able to try using a different browser on that device?
I also noticed you have the login details in the search bar problem

Nope, Google chrome is the only browser that my district allows (we had other ones but they got blocked, idk about official ones though, probably not worth it))
is ur chrome account a school account or a gm that does not end with @gm.com? because my school gm chrome account has this issue but my personal account does not.
btw cause scratch keeps saying my message cannon be sent, hers the key for what gm means: https://pastes.io/ldth59r86a

All my Chrome accounts are gm. The one I'm using on my Chromebook is a school one that has built-in extensions on the chromebook that are unable to be removed. I'm unsure if these are causing issues. I'll also test going onto my school account on my personal devices and see if that changes anything.
Update: THE ISSUE JUST RANDOMLY STOPPED HAPPENING JUST NOW!! No clue why..

Are you talking about the one where you get signed out? My issue was that I had some settings turned on for an extension that messed with my login status.
