Gobo's friends can be anything you want to, Scratch says. That I agree with. However, I would like to question about the anatomy of them. Tera half confirmed to have hair, but Nano, Pico, Gobo, and Giga are more strange. Nano and Giga seem to have hair, while Pico…I don't even know. Gobo and his friends can change their personalities and origins, but their looks usually stay the same. So I would assume the Scratch team is allowed to provide information on:

• Is their hair intended to be like human hair, or solid
  What were their inspirations
  Is Gobo supposed to be puffy like a cloud/pompom
  Are all their hairs puffy like a pompom
  Is Gobo intended to have hair
  Can Pico blast music through his backwards-earphone-looking ears
  

Scratch's mascots don't have any lore or other details about them. Their features, abilities, lore, etc are entirely up to you to decide.
I can confirm however that gobo is half water buffalo

I know, but they have set features when not edited, so those could be described.

I guess. Those are also up to you though, as there can be many interpretations of any one thing.

For example, I interpret gobo's spikey head things as horns left over from being half water buffalo, but someone could easily interpret them as space death lasers.

My only question is weather pico is wearing headphones or if those are his ears

These questions, I think have to be asked to Wing Ngan, and that won't happen very soon I'm sure many people are curious. We can't ask what they are supposed to be, as they can be anything. One would ask what they were supposed to be.
