The Unofficial DS/DSi Modding/Homebrew Topic!
Post about DS and DSi modding and homebrew here!

ChatGPT wrote:

Homebrew in the context of game consoles refers to software, games, or applications developed by independent enthusiasts or developers for a specific console. These creations are not officially produced or endorsed by the console's manufacturer. Homebrew content often extends the capabilities of the console, offering unique experiences and functionalities beyond what the manufacturer intended.
A useful guide for modding your DSi (NOT DS!!) can be found here. not sure if I'm allowed to link this because of the discord link that's advertised everywhere on that site
If you don't want to install custom firmware, for whatever reason, you can use a flashcart. These are game cartridges that let users run arbitrary code.
Other useful resources can be found here
What you CAN do here:
- Discuss homebrew apps (e.g., TWiLight Menu++, hiyaCFW, etc.)
- Get help with modding your system
- Discuss development of new homebrew
- Discuss hardmodding
What you CAN'T do here:
- Discuss piracy (e.g., running ROMs downloaded from the internet)
I've heard you've been working on Scratch for 3DS, or at least DS. When/if it is completed will it be downloadable as an .NDS file? That's the only DS application I know how to forward in Homebrew 3DS

Yeah, that's how you distribute DS(i) homebrew anyway.
Just curious, are you still working on the Scratch on DS thing?

Not at the moment. But I do have a lot of time on my hands this week, as it is march break for me, so thanks for giving me something to do.

Just curious again, did you do more work on it?
