Trueeee. The songs are why everyone started playing it and then you get hit with the stories. Even Wonderland had some sad moments. It's also a rhythm game, which is what interested me (I've been playing Guitar Hero on/off since I was 7 years old).
Human Jax loves his lightning. He probably likes Metallica

I am a firm believer in hidden Tsukasangst, that's part of what makes him fun.
Wonderland is my favorite unit tbh, I love that its angst is more understated, it makes them relatable. N25 is too dark for me sometimes, and while I like VBS, I can't relate to An or Kohane at all. I haven't played MMJ yet, and L/N is good, but I can't relate to any of the characters very much.
Tsukasa's perfectionism and forgetfulness? Mood.
Rui feeling like an outcast? Mood.
Nene's stagefright and love of gaming? Mood.
Emu's cheerfulness and desire to uphold the values of a family member? Mood.

Funny how the funne circus show is the most relatable. I saw my sister play through all of them and by far, Wonderland was my favorite. N25 was the first we played, and I did kind of relate to some of it. (Mostly how Kanade only has online friends ;- But Wonderland seemed to have even more personality. So they're probably the top tier for me. I liked the designs of L/N though. Starry skies and sparkles.
(Why is it that all of Tsukasa's cards have something to do with his misfortune. XD He needs so much help. And he reminds me of Apollo in some aspects.)

The discussion forums are more for getting help with individual problems than getting a full game tutorial. It would be helpful if you tried to make the game yourself first, and then asked for help on the forums whenever you run into a specific issue.

part 1: outline

part 1
this is mainly about speckledpaw overcoming her fears (assumptions, ignorance, loneliness, depression, guilt, etc) and meeting new people who will help her truly live. the overarching plot, however, will be the war between the harmonics and the radicals. her mother will be plotting behind her back, her friends are not who they seem to be, and in the end, all her fears come true in the worst way.  

what's not to love?

anyway, i want the vermillion butterflies speckledpaw always wears to be a big part of the plot. you'll see them everywhere in the story, even though if it's only briefly mentioned. they symbolize hope, and the amount dwindles down when the first sparks of war begin. scattered throughout the story, i want them to light the way to the right path, the one that'll lead to success. and i want the reader to watch painstakingly as she makes all the wrong choices.

checkpoint
this shows slices of life for everyone during the war. it'll explore the themes of love, separation, idk just angst. idk man i just wanna write something sad. this isn't professional i just want to make everyone sad. bubblefrond goes full evangelion mode (if youve ever watched nge you know this is a HORRIBLE thing), speckledclaw is one of the top fighters in the military, flamewing is in hiding (planning revolution. severely depressed and in mental turmoil. life has not given him a good hand), cratersong has disappeared, gamble is REDACTED, violetstone and viper are REDACTED, and ashbone is… ashbone is… REDACTED!! the war is in its prime right now, the gods have all died (i will not elaborate on this), and everyone has been separated for a couple of years.

part 2: exposition

this is a love story. a cruel, twisted love story, but a love story nonetheless.

it begins with their ancestors.

from the stars came a prophecy, weaving a tale of wonders and glory. setting forth, a band of cats came to discover the ruins of the modern world. science, math, art, technology.

it took years, decades, centuries for them to figure out everything. but by then, the world was already broken. the balance of life was shattered forever. there was no turning back.

buildings rose, laws were created, grand operas and legendary plays were rediscovered– culture was brought back brick by boring brick. art, paintings, radio, poems, literature. the cities ran with the blood of the young, and the sun set on a new dawn… everyone knows nothing good lasts forever.

carnage, rage, horror, war. kindness, beauty, hope, faith. it all meshes into one big wildfire of hate and love, burning everything in its path to ashes. when given total freedom in the world, who would abide by the rules? the discovery of liberty was a curse as well as a blessing.

and so our story begins at the start of the end.

part 3: story stew

he closes his eyes and sighs.

the paper is ripped. he can't write anymore. his feelings slam to an abrupt stop, crashing back into his body before they can be let out.

he slams his notebook closed. his head reels. it's so confusing. he doesn't know what he's doing. what was he thinking?

the quill ashbone holds drops out of his paw, staining the cover of his pristine notebook. a fleeting thought wonders if talonspot would forgive him, but his mind shuts it down immediately. not because he thinks it's not possible, but because there's an inferno swarming his body– swirling its tendrils into every pore. it's sickly, red and crimson and every color under the sun. he can feel it in his chest, beating like a pseudo heart. it's hot and flaming and growing bigger and bigger and consuming him whole and–

he stumbles while getting up, slamming into the floor. stars spin behind his eyes. dirt. dirt, dirt, dirt!

he hasn't been careful enough lately. ever since he met his… acquaintances, his guard has been down. ashbone can't remember a time where his emotions were so riled up.

he feels something dripping from his face. it's sticking to his fur– a familiar feeling. blood.

dear gods above, talonspot would murder him if he got blood on anything she owned. he rises, albeit wobbling.

4: new conflict arises

he's bleeding. he's really bleeding, because he fell. not because of a fight, not because of a mission, but because he fell.

ashbone thinks he hasn't been humiliated worse in his life.

ashbone has never cried in his life. he didn't cry at the auction, he didn't cry when he was carted away to the arena to be a gladiator, he didn't cry as he was beat down into the dust over and over again, he didn't cry when he was the last cat standing, he didn't cry when everyone who had ever been kind to him died, he didn't cry when talonspot sent him to the city. he doesn't cry– it's like visiting neverland, thinking that talonspot cared, wishing that in the end he would not be alone; it was impossible.

he can't hide it. talonspot knows anything and everything that happens on her property.

he won't be leaving again.

the vermillion butterfly tucked behind his ear fluttered to the ground. a single teardrop falls from his eye and stains the wings.

he stands up and collapses onto his bed, the butterfly crunching underneath his paws.

First of all, instead of using

<(health) < [0]>

you should use

<not <(health) > [0]>>

This will make it so that the enemy can't live on 0 hp.

Here are a few ideas to solve your issue with enemies dying in one hit:
- make sure that the Shot Power variable is set to the right amount
- make sure the the health variable for enemies is set to the right amount before the clones are created.
- Check to make sure that there aren't multiple clones of the Shoot Type sprite hitting the enemy at once
- If you have any broadcasts that mess with variables, know that every clone will run the broadcast script (so if you have created 10 clones and run a broadcast with a script that decreases a health variable by one, it will actually be decreased by 11 because the main sprite and all of the clones will run it)
- Check that you don't have any other scripts in the sprite killing the enemies or changing health values

It would be very helpful if you shared the project and provided a link.

PART 1: Making an Outline
The story is set in an imaginary ecosystem, where a new species, the shazarxa, has recently been introduced
The shazarxi are beginning to learn to live there and explore the unknown, but there are variations in how they want their social structure to function, which causes conflict
This story takes place within this messy social scene, from the point of view of Thorn
Thorn grows up in a loving family: his father, Ember; his mother, Marigold; his brother, Parsnip; and his genderfluid sibling, Teardrop
Marigold slowly begins to lose her memory, and while this is hard on all of them, Thorn takes it the worst
Thorn is comforted by his friend, Holly, and the two eventually fall in love
Meanwhile, the society’s main leader, Swift, dies, and there is conflict between Shade and Ash, who both have a claim to be the next leader
Inevitably, Shade and Ash’s rivalry splits the whole society in half, and Thorn ends up siding with Shade, against the rest of his family
Labelled as a traitor by his loved ones, Thorn is reasonably stressed, and he develops sleepwalking habits
His brother, Parsnip, takes advantage of the sleepwalking to manipulate the situation to his own desires
Thorn becomes more and more paranoid and unstable
When Shade and Ash have their major battle, Thorn is too cowardly to join in
He watches as Ash is killed, his former home is destroyed by Parsnip, and Parsnip and Marigold both dying in the process; he also believes Teardrop to be dead, but they escape and run away
Thorn is unable to handle it, so even though it means abandoning Holly a second time, he runs off
He stumbles around on his own for a while, trying to deal with his trauma
Eventually he runs into a guy named Comet, who clings to him despite Thorn initially expressing distrust and hostility
Comet’s exuberance eventually wins Thorn over, and they have a tentative friendship
Thorn leads Comet home to the canyon and this time, he stays, too
He eventually makes up with both Holly and Ember, though it takes time to get their forgiveness
When Teardrop returns, Thorn has mixed feelings, but they can sympathize with each other’s trauma, and so they reach a state of weary familiarity which is close enough of a bond for them
Thorn never fully forgives Parsnip but learns to put up with his ghost, especially as Parsnip and Comet are instant buddies

PART 2: Exposition
Thorn blinked up at Ember, who smiled back kindly. “It’s alright,” Ember encouraged him, pushing him gently with his tail. “You can go out and play with them.”
“Don’t be afraid,” Marigold purred affectionately.
“Okay,” Thorn squeaked, tentatively setting a paw out of the shade of the canyon wall. The land stretched out before him, so wide, so confusing. Across the clearing, his siblings, Parsnip and Teardrop, wrestled noisily. He wanted to run back and curl up in his parents’ soft fur. He glanced back at them. They were watching him encouragingly.
“Thorn! Are you finally joining us?” Parsnip called, noticing him approach.
“Can I?”
“Of course!” He laughed carelessly, jumping up and tumbling into Thorn. Thorn stiffened at the impact as Parsnip’s weight toppled them both over and the two fell into a heap.
“Hey! Be nice to Thorn,” Teardrop chided Parsnip, bounding over. He licked the dust off of Thorn’s head protectively.
Thorn closed his eyes, a little dizzy. But it wasn’t so bad. Maybe this wouldn’t be as scary as it looked. It might even be fun. Cautiously, he opened his eyes and smiled.
Shaking Parsnip off, he sprang to his paws. “What are we playing?”

PART 3: Story Stew
Introduce a Symbol & Foreshadowing
“I brought you all a gift!” Parsnip chirped, scampering up to where Thorn and Teardrop rested in the den next to Marigold and Ember. He clutched in his tiny jaws a bundled-up structure, clearly made with his own claws.
Parsnip had been making a lot of additions to the dens recently. Instead of scattered nests, he dreamt of an interconnected network of waterproofed shelters. Thorn wasn’t sure that would work out, but he didn’t want to interrupt his brother’s passion.
This was the first time Parsnip had built something to give to someone else, though. “I-it’s not spiders again, is it?” Thorn questioned, slightly nervous.
“No- look!” Parsnip sat back on his hind legs, and used his front paws to hold up the circles of branches he had tied.
He stuck his face in the middle of one of the circles and giggled. “It’s a circle, see? Each of them has ten knots- two for you, and two for Marigold, and two for Ember and two for me and two for Teardrop! One for each of our eyes!”
Parsnip plopped a circle down on each of their heads in turn. Thorn wrapped his tail around to feel the bark of the branches and the knotted strands tying them together. “Hey, it’s poking my head,” he complained. “Are there thorns in this?”
“But you’re the Thorn,” Parsnip joked. Thorn squinted at him, recognizing the glint of mischief in his red eyes. He had purposefully put thorns in it, hadn’t he?
Thorn sighed, not wanting to make a scene about it. Parsnip’s pranks were always silly stuff like this.

New Conflict Arises
“Congratulations on fledging!” Holly purred, brushing against Thorn’s side.
“We can finally fly together,” Thorn responded, ruffling his new flight feathers with giddy delight.
“Looking forwar-” she was interrupted by a growl coming from the leader’s rock.
Ash and Shade were circling each other, fur spiking upwards and wings raised aggressively. “Oh, dear,” Holly whispered under her breath. Shade was her sister, and the two were opposites. In all the ways that Holly was patient and gentle, Shade was harsh and fierce instead. Thorn was a little intimidated by her.
The previous leader, Swift, had been taken down by a wolf attack not even a full moon ago, and as soon as the grieving was done, Shade and Ash were at each other’s throats over which of them should take his place.
Shade scared Thorn, but Ash wasn’t a great alternative. Thorn had seen his anger, his indecisiveness, his capacity for violence. He had seen Ash closer than he should have been to Holly. Sure, Teardrop was infatuated with Ash. But Thorn knew better than anyone how naive Teardrop could be. They always saw the best in everyone and completely ignored the warning signs. Not to mention they were overprotective and smothering…
Thorn realized he was thinking more about Teardrop than paying attention to what Ash and Shade were doing. Ash had apparently held his ground, as Shade was storming away.
However, what she proclaimed next surprised everyone. “Shazarxi of the canyon! I’m starting my own flock- anyone who doesn’t support Ash, join me! Who’s coming?”
Thorn felt suddenly torn. Picking a side? A shiver of dread ran down his spine. This wouldn’t end well.

Breaking the Fourth Wall
Had leaving Holly been the worst mistake of his life? Thorn felt miserable. He had done nothing at first, but after Shade’s exit, Ash had only grown more erratic and tyrannical. Thorn had opted to follow Shade’s pawsteps, join her flock, away from the conflict.
But everyone he left behind? Holly, and the two unhatched eggs they had together? Ember, who had seemed so genuinely hurt by his betrayal? Parsnip, who had built so many beautiful structures in the canyon? Even Teardrop, who, Thorn had to admit, only wanted to make everyone happy? Thorn’s circle of knots and thorns had been torn into pieces, to rot upon the ground.
Dreams were the only place Thorn could escape these worries that weighed him down like stones in the river. Asleep, he could turn into pure energy and light, escape the shadows, push them back. Become anything he could imagine. If only falling asleep was easier…
Sometimes he would fall asleep, completely exhausted, and wake up somewhere completely different, usually closer to the canyon. As if trying to go home.
He might have completely lost his mind if it wasn’t for Parsnip. Parsnip seemed to harbor no ill will, and so whenever Thorn’s unconscious wanderings brought him nearby, the two would talk.
Parsnip sometimes spoke of strange, things, though, which only worried Thorn more. He talked about powers beyond their control, of storylines and authors. He seemed to think that he was a character in some distant creator’s tale.
It made no sense.
Or did it?

Plot Twist
Thorn soon learned of Shade’s real plans. She didn’t want to start her own flock, she wanted to conquer Ash’s.
Thorn felt sick. He had barely slept in the past few days and kept himself isolated from Shade’s other followers. He hadn’t even visited Parsnip lately. The idea of fighting was too much to even consider.
Still, there was nothing he could do to stop Shade. He was helpless as she led her forces to battle, helpless as he saw Teardrop rise to face off against the attackers, slashing and biting like some kind of monstrous beast.
“What have we all become…” Thorn whispered, desolate. The panic threatened to overcome him, yet his paws felt rooted in place.
“You can be the hero,” Parsnip appeared beside him, his eyes glowing with a manic delight. “You can fix all this. Save everyone.”
“What? No- no, I can’t!” Thorn spat. “Parsnip, I’m not a hero! I can’t save anyone; I can’t even save myself. I don’t know what craziness you believe, but we have no power here!”
“Hmm. Well, we’ll see,” Parsnip nodded enigmatically, then turned to leave. “Maybe there are no heroes.”
Thorn looked over his shoulder just in time to see Ash tumble from the leader’s rock, plummeting to the ground below.
There was a long silence after the sickening crunch.
When Thorn looked back, Parsnip was gone. Thorn felt as though the walls were quivering, about to collapse. His heart raced.
Wait.
The walls… were actually quaking. “Run!” Thorn was the first to screech as Parsnip’s entire den system began to peel away from the cliffs, taking massive rocks and showers of debris with it.
Thorn bolted into the sky, straining his wings to fly as fast as possible. He didn’t care where they took him. There was no home to go back to anymore, anyway.

New Character Introduction
Thorn didn’t know how far he went. The land here was unfamiliar.
He was all out of feelings now, left with only exhaustion.
Finally, he collapsed.
Sleep, at last.
The inner world was so much more welcoming than the outer one. Thorn fell into it easily. He sank into the abstractions, dreamless, but safe. Until…
“Wake up!” A voice startled Thorn so much, he jumped all the way to his paws. Bristling, he growled at the stranger in front of him.
“Nice to meet you!” the stranger continued, unbothered. “I’m Comet. Who might you be?”
Thorn smoothed his fur, but kept his distance. Where had this shazarxa come from? He had never seen them before in his life. “I- you don’t want to know me,” Thorn muttered.
“Nonsense! I want a lot of weird things, and right now, you’re the weirdest. …So?”
Well, this Comet didn’t seem threatening. Thorn straightened up, trying to relax. After a moment, he spoke.

I would also like to clear the situation up publicly on the forums by saying that the original killing of Wulvie was a mistake (I did not realize that it was against the rules), and I have since made up for it. The killing of Shy, even though it happened in Mantis, was justified self-defense because I was attacked by her with an axe. Then of course the last skirmish in Mantis mentioned above was also justified because I wasn't even the one who started it!

I was floating around in the water in Mantis when Skood joined the game. He asked Wulvie whether or not PvP was allowed in Mantis when he saw me. Wulvie said no, it wasn't allowed. 2 minutes later Skood krits me with his sword. This is how the battle started! He broke the pvp rules willingly in his own nation! Later Skood would also shoot arrows at me in neutral Spain as well.

I haven't broken the rules on killing in claimed territories since the first incident.

I’d like to point out that I Personally did nothing to provoke an attack. (Also btw I’m pretty much over it but still wanted to clarify some things). While skood did provoke an attack, he only provoked an attack on him. Attacking me in retaliation despite my incapability of really fighting back and also despite my lack of provoking an attack is against the rules and if it isn’t, it should be.

the ST go out of their way to make announcements for Pi Day, Black History Month, and Pride Month, but doesn't make one for other months like Women's History Month or Hispanic History Month. Why is Pi Day more important than Women's History Month? It's not that I don't think Pi Day should be acknowledged, especially since this is a coding based website, but it just seems strange and inconsistent which holidays and months the ST acknowledges through announcements.

Yeah it’s a great idea. My only concern is that we’d run out of things to be god of.

Lightning, rock, air, water, ground, agriculture, forests/plant, fire, End, Creation, death, life, animals, light, darkness, redstone, and others to name a few. We might even have enough for multiple god-players per nation if we get creative with it.

I have returned from my hiatus to see what is going to be happening on Scratch for the April Fools Festivities! I am barely on this website and I recently had to take a few months for my break because of school and exams (which totally paid off because my grades are AMAZING!!!) and because of that, ScratchCards was delayed quite a bit

To have each sprite have its own health, the variable has to be for that sprite only. If it is a variable for all sprites, each clone won't have its own copy of it.

I also recommend setting the health at the top of the ‘When I start as a Clone’ script, but if you have this elsewhere it might be ok.

The only issue is where in the world did he get that authority? Because even if we make up some fake law, Lex would want to be the one to press that button and “save the country” and there is no way he's letting some general get all the credit. And Lex is trapped alongside everyone.

Even though camp hasn't started yet, I want to let you all know that me and Sophia will be inactive for a few days as we have something irl so basically what I'm gonna do is I'm going to post the first two dailies over the course of our absences (2-4 days). Take as long as you need on the dailies, but please make sure to start on April 1st as it will not make sense otherwise. Also, Make sure to comment in the main cabin before I come back on scratch. The only issue is where in the world did he get that authority? Because even if we make up some fake law, Lex would want to be the one to press that button and “save the country” and there is no way he's letting some general get all the credit. And Lex is trapped alongside everyone.

I mean Lex is the kind of guy to tale the credit for it, through fake footage or something. Yeah, Lex wouldn't want to get nuked. Maybe Lex would have a bunker?

Bunker wouldn't help on Braniac's ship. Even if he manages to crash back to Earth, he'd still be 2 inches tall.

Is being two inches tall really that bad?

I'm trying to make a Geometry Dash wave recreation on Scratch. The trail of the wave is made from pen. The problem is that, there is a “bend” in the trail, so can you help me fix this issue?

Exactly, it’s even been coded in, if you make a costume called previous costume and select it in the dropdown, then delete the costume, the block will function like a previous costume block. All ST needs to do is make it an option in the dropdown by default.
