Splatoon 3 story mode spoilers!!And even if ocean mammals don't exist, there's still the Judds. But still, Grizz wanted the planet to be “ruled by mammals”, not just a few random cats and ocean mammals here and there.
Technically, mammals still exist and Mr. Grizz had ( TECHNICALLY ) no reason to create the fuzzy ooze. Yeah, no LAND mammals exist, but whales still exist in the splatoon universe, and whales are mammals.
( I know this bc at one point when you're traveling in the tube thingys between the islands of Alterna, Marie says " … let's play 20 questions! Is it blue? Is it huge? Is it a whale? )
im probably over analyzing but I like animals and I know this stuff and idk where else to say this discovery lol
