I’d argue that there shouldn’t be a forum post for autism acceptance, after thinking it through. Rather, I think there should be a forum post for acceptance of neurodiversity in general. This is basically a compass of everything neurodivergent, eg. Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, etc etc
Yeah, that’ll be better. It would include a whole hecking lot of people
That would be better but when would it occur, there isn't really a Neurodivergence month as I am aware
Neurodiversity awareness month is in April according to google
I though that was autism month. maybe I am wrong, a google search says it is autism month in april
i don’t know, google also says it’s neurodiversity month.
Can you explain what neurodiversity means?? People keep stating it a lot (not just here) but I have no idea LOL

scratch shouldn't educate people about autism, that should be on the parents
A lot of neurotypical parents with neurotypical children wouldn’t bother to do that cause they wouldn’t see a reason to
Neurotypical??

The term “Autism awareness month” is considered, among the autistic community, to be a bad way of naming the month. This is because these terms are presented by a company called Autism Speaks, which claims to advocate for those of us on the spectrum when they, in fact, use very unethical methods of doing things and have done nothing but spread misinformation and confusion about autism. Unfortunately, this company is very prevalent in how autism is seen and has a tendency to put a negative view on us. With this in mind, I would like to request that it is at least known the preferred term to use in support of autism during April is "autism acceptance month" and that Autism Speaks is a very bad company. I don't want to go into detail about the things they've done here, but feel free to do your own research.
The title was literally changed after the 2nd post (as in the post after the original post) though..
