Recently I've been working on a large project and have been using two different devices to do so. I had a window open on my laptop and starting coding, only to realize that this window had been open for a few days and therefore was an older version of my project. The older version then auto saved, reverting the newest version on my pc back. I had lost hours of work and there was nothing I could do about it.

If scratch had a version history button in the editor we could revert the changes we made to our projects in case we made a catastrophic error. It would also prevent rare cases like mine from happening.
