*ੈ⟡⋆⁺˖ ⸝⸝ Lavenderveil is amazing, and so is his roleplayer. <3 Other than that though, I have a soft spot for male torties and calicos, as clearly shown by me applying for Wildflowerkit the second I saw him when his litter first came out, and Sunless is honestly another really gorgeous design from Kade. Being Lav's heir seems really interesting, and I'd love to develop this character further than just that. I'd love to get a front-row seat to Lav’s plotline and legacy. I’d personally say I’m a good roleplayer, and I really do love getting to write and develop characters, especially in roleplays, where my own characters' stories can change from the unpredictability of the people I roleplay with. I have many characters who I have been able to give dramatic and fulfilling plotlines and lives, and I’d love to do the same for Sunless.

The longest I tend to go inactive for is maybe an afternoon at most, either because I'm distracted and off of Scratch, or I'm doing something else. I picked up roleplaying during covid times ( so approximately 2 years on Scratch by now ) to cope with the quarantine and isolation, and I've really grown to appreciate roleplaying. I actually started my hobby of roleplaying on Scratch, which seems like something cool to mention because everyone else I’ve seen seems to have started somewhere else- haha- uh- I tend to write 1-2 comment average replies, with 3 at most for normal roleplaying.

*ੈ⟡⋆⁺˖ ⸝⸝ Sunless won't really question himself for very long, not quite sure for a big part of his life. He doesn't have much of a preference for what he identifies as, and mostly seeks to imitate those he admires, like Lavenderveil.
*ੈ⟡⋆⁺˖ ⸝⸝ He isn't the type to actively seek out relationships and romances, more preferring platonic and familial relationships if anything. Of course, that doesn't always limit him, though he does need a huge level of trust with someone to even consider letting down their theatrical princely barrier.

He basks in praise and compliments, his more egotistical side coming out often, though he often returns it with fleeting smiles and kind words of his own. He looks for loyalty and integrity in others, especially in close friends and love interests, though he does gravitate most to quieter cats who can be content with indulging his whims and flights of fantasy.

*ੈ⟡⋆⁺˖ ⸝⸝ provided - Sunlesskit is a calico tom, with two differently coloured eyes, one of them a bronze and the other an ocean blue, Sunlesskit had been named after the fact that Lavenderveil let go of Sunningmoth, therefore the name ‘Sunless’.
*ੈ⟡⋆⁺˖ ⸝⸝ rewritten - With a soft cream base coat adorned with patches of darker creams, gingers, blacks and light browns, Sunlesskit's name is perhaps a little misleading. He is perhaps all sunshine, from his demeanour down to his appearance itself. He has a sprawling sun-like marking on his lower back, covered with jagged brown stripes that cover other patches all over his face and body. His fur is a mix between swoopy and spiky, quick to obey gravity and curling in a way that mimics flames or sun rays. His bright eyes are mismatched, one a warm coppery bronze and the other a gentler ocean blue hue.

Sunlesskit is a positive cat, not quite fully in the harshness of reality as he sees the good in almost everything. When something goes wrong, he'd much rather focus on the good things that come of it than the bad, though this does make him appear a little insensitive at times. His sweet demeanour and sugary words make him instantly likeable in the clan, and is likely one of the, if not most social kit in his litter, always striving to build relationships and meet new cats.

While Sunny doesn't hold very much empathy, he is more than a sympathetic individual. He is very good at showing concern for problems, as well as offering what he deems as good tips or advice. Oftentimes, his suggestions are quite unrealistic for someone who isn't him, as he seems to have trouble recognizing that not everyone experiences and goes through things the same way as he does.

With his charm and wit, Sunless evokes many feelings of interest towards his high-spirited and optimistic nature, bringing him quite a lot of attention and adoration from other cats in the clan that aren't his family. He enjoys being popular, and adores the validation, often acting exactly as he expects others to want from him to hold onto that attention for as long as he can.

With an ambitious parent like Lavenderveil, Sunless was raised with discipline and manners, creating quite a courteous and well-mannered individual in adolescence. While quite impractical and outspoken in his youth, Len will grow and mature to become a politer and quieter boy, perfectly content to go with whatever others want from him as a front for his otherwise more extroverted personality on the inside.

Len is truly a child at heart, even when he becomes older. He's the type of cat to have countless imaginary friends through his younger days, as well as a plethora of creative excuses anytime he is caught doing something that could earn him disapproval. He rarely stays grounded, preferring big ideas and having fun than the reality of having to work for everyone he wants. He's a bit more of a talker than a doer, enjoying sharing his ideas, though executing them was a different matter. A prince has others to do the dirty work for him though, isn't that correct?

Sunny isn't the type to be afraid of speaking his mind, as most extroverts are. He loves stating his opinion and proving others wrong, and is very skilled in debate and improvisation in any topic, as long as he has some knowledge of it. Of course, skills like these aren't very practical in the cat world, but Len is still very proud of them and loves to hear his own voice. He has a tendency to talk to himself or anything he comes across through day-to-day life, especially his favourite way of entertaining himself is narrating his own life when he's alone.

Sunless may dislike physical touch, but that doesn't mean he is repulsed by affection. Quite the opposite, though honestly could you really crave attention and not enjoy a bit of affection as well. Len also enjoys showing his affection in many ways, whether that be a simple smile of pure delight or countless hours spent together, Sunny likes to make his love known. Often, he can quickly embarrass others with what comes out of his mouth, but most of the time he is genuine with his words. He knows how important they are, after all, and his cheeky way of words doesn't help him either.

Rather than basing things off of fact and logic and thinking, Len often uses his own instincts under pressure to make decisions, making him very much a doer before a dreamer. He doesn't think before he speaks or does anything, meaning he'll jump into literally any situation without thinking first if only for the adrenaline at the time, or some other motivating factor like the cats he cares about, or someone that wronged him.

Sunny knows when he needs to let go of his childish facade for a more controlled and polite one, especially when he notices that his peers or family are getting annoyed by him. He has a tendency to avoid saying no, wanting to do almost anything he is asked, and he follows rules quite carefully, which may surprise many since he is normally so carefree and arrogant. He knows discipline though, and knows that most of the time, it's better to just follow orders and act out.

Sunlesskit treats life like an act where he always needs to fit into, though not quite into reality and more into the fanciful version of the world he sees. He loves putting on a show and making others laugh, whether it’s at his own disposal or not, and he finds pleasure in it. It's just built into him, and she often uses it to his advantage, dramatizing everything to benefit himself and bring himself comfort. Even though he isn’t regarded as the brightest cat, acting is something he excels at, and one of the few things he can play off properly. Everyone sees him as the dumb blonde sort of character, so he plays along with it.

Len has a very child-like and playful way he approaches life, taking everything in through a rose-tinted lens. Because of this, the way he thinks and speaks is often very fanciful and unrealistic, bringing quite amusing and adorable antics, especially in his younger days. He likes it when things go his way, though dramatic and interesting changes in life often capture his interest, and by extension, his heart. He is quite narrow-minded with this, stuck with the idea between heroes, villains, princes, and princesses.

Sunlesskit isn't the brightest cat, and compared to his littermates, he can be described as quite simple-minded, at least on the surface. Things often need to be explained thoroughly to him, and even then, it isn't a guarantee he'll get it, provided he even took in the information. Due to this, he has a less knowledgeable view of the world compared to others, leaving him quite innocent, happy-go-lucky, and blissfully ignorant of the cruelty of reality, comparable to sheltered or spoiled royalty, protected from everything. He sees the good in everything, and is very easy and quick to trust in others.

Sunny is pretty, and he knows it. He loves his appearance and takes a lot of pride in it, taking good care of his fur in an attempt to keep himself neat and presentable. After all, he is basically the face of the family, the star of the four littermates, so he must be the standard for the other three, or so he thinks. Ness tends to dawdle around by accident whenever he catches sight of his reflection, taking great and often almost reaching levels of obsessive precaution with his appearance. When others expect him to be this silly, naive and arrogant cat, it makes things so much easier for Len, since he already has so many other expectations. Cats don’t usually seek him out for advice, or confide in him, since they know him as this sheltered prince who has no issues in life, and he is perfectly alright with that. It just makes it easier for himself.

Despite his confident and arrogant aura, Sunlesskit isn't very strong-willed, easily convinced, persuaded, and manipulated. Of course, he often cannot comprehend these types of situations, so he is good at keeping up his confident front for the sake of appearances. He also easily gives in to his own whims, enjoying to indulge himself often to anything his mind thinks of. This, of course, makes Len appear very selfish, and honestly in a way, he is, though it really is the act he puts up for everyone. If it benefits himself, that’s a fun little side-effect he is more than happy to abuse.

Honestly, Sunny is vaguely aware of what goes on around him, what others think of him, and especially how his family views him. He knows he is a pawn, a puppet, though he never fully understood the context of it. He just knows that his family uses him as a facade, and frankly, he craves the attention he gets from it. Whenever one of his siblings beat him in something, of course Sunny, as the cheery and incompetent prince, laughs it off, but really, Len often beats himself over the littlest things, as well as convincing himself that he needs to fix his act until one day, he won’t recognize himself anymore. If he could become exactly what everyone around him wants, he’d do it.

Sunny adores the feeling of being useful and busy, so while he is quite an indulgent cat, when he has something to do, he won't stop until he's finished. It's quite an unhealthy habit, often causing him lack of sleep and a surplus of temper tantrums whenever he is in a bad mood from it. He is very hyperfocused subconsciously on doing what he is meant to do, what he is expected to do, and if he cannot be competent enough to do it, he keeps pushing through even when his relationship with the work becomes borderline toxic.

Len is the type to get overly emotional, excited, or obsessive over certain things that often inspire the critical and confused judgement of his peers. It could be really simple things, even just little things that catch his eye or distract him from reality, but once he gains a fixation, he won't let it go until he's fully wrung it dry. I imagine him getting quite a few hyper fixations throughout his lifetime, like perhaps a certain period of time in his apprenticeship where he becomes enraptured by birds, butterflies, and by extension, freedom through the borders of FateClan. These crazy ideas never last long, but they'll always be in the back of Sunny's mind, waiting to reappear one day.

He’s a go-with-the-flow kind of cat, and even though he has quite an arrogant and self-centred demeanour, underneath that all is a pushover and people-pleaser, so anything Lavenderveil wants, he’ll follow as best as he can, even if he isn’t exactly the best target audience among his littermates for Lav’s plans and ideas, as he isn’t quite as bright as the rest of his siblings. That does, however, make him a perfect puppet, the perfect cover image for Lav’s family as the heir and most well-known among his siblings.

Since the genetics for the colours black and red are found separately in the X chromosome, for a male cat to have both colours is a mutation known as Klinefelter syndrome, which means they need to have XXY or XXXY configurations. Male calicos tend to be sterile or infertile, meaning they cannot reproduce, as is the case with Sunlesskit.
Perhaps due to his inability to produce children, and basically a biological heir for their family's monarchy, Sunless would feel quite bad, almost wishing his own biology were different.
♡ ༘⋆ heterochromia - Sunlesskit has complete heterochromia, meaning his eyes are two fully different colours. In his case, he has one blue and one copper eye. Heterochromia is generally caused by the recessive white, dominant white or white spotting genes that may prevent pigment in the form of melanin from reaching one eye. Heterochromia is most common in cats with either solid white or partial white coats, but can occur to cats with any fur colour. Gloaming didn’t normally venture alone, especially with how young he really was, but could he help himself? The world was, as far as he knew currently, absolutely beautiful, and he wanted to bring a piece of it with him to show his littermates, who didn’t seem to share his views and ideals. No matter, Glow can do things himself. Of course, he knew not to wander too far, it wouldn’t be good if he lost his siblings in the little miniature grove of the lavender fields that they had decided to camp out in after their mother left them in the safety of the tall flowers to hunt, or do whatever it is grown cats do. He didn’t exactly have much faith in their parents returning, surprisingly for him, but he liked to pretend that in another life, perhaps they could have had a beautiful life with them and their littermates. Speaking of their littermates, Glow returned his mind to his task at hand. At least in this point in time, he was a quiet and thoughtful daydreamer, blissfully unaware that he’ll be changing drastically in the future, and simply on a mission his little kit mind sent him on. Thinking of his siblings, he wondered idly what they would like. Darling loved pretty things and extravagance, while Campion and Fable were a little tamer with their preferences. Gloaming could work with what he had though.
Wandering a little farther, his fur was brushing against the tall stalks of lavender and he snuck a glance behind him, slightly alarmed that he couldn’t quite see their pile of sleeping siblings anymore, but he made his fur lie flat again. It’ll only be for a little… and anyways, this was better than having a pile of bodies sleeping right next to him anyway. As much as Gloaming adored his littermates, he still preferred to have his little bubble of space whenever possible. Looking back up at the sky, half-visible among the stalks of lavender, Gloaming had to wonder if there were any flowers other than lavender in the world. Surely, right?
Well, it really did seem like the lavender stretched on forever, but eventually Gloaming found it thinning out into just the green of grass, and he could see trees and the darkening sky in the distance. How pretty. If Gloaming had seen himself in a puddle before, then perhaps he’d be able to comprehend that one of his eyes mirrored the colour of the sky, but for now, he remained unaware, just appreciating how pretty it was. He remained transfixed in the scenery for a while, a soft smile blooming on his face. He had never seen a sunset properly before, fully surrounded by it rather than just through the canopy of the lavender he lived among, and he couldn’t think of anything more beautiful. It was truly spectacular.
ੈ⟡⋆ dahlia - 3 moons┊sunflower skies.
One… two… three… four… four sunflowers so far amidst the meadows of floral life, towering over the rest as they reached for the sunlight like ivy creeping up a beanstalk. Four sunflowers, one for each warm brown paw, if the sweet chocolate-coloured kit were tall enough to actually reach the highest petals at their tallest height. Dahlia shivered for a moment when a stronger breeze whipped past her, making her soft kit fur ripple more than the gentle winds had been doing in the heartbeats before. Once the breeze passed, gentle green eyes opened once more, bright with curiosity. Four sunflowers… that really didn't seem like enough, did it? Dahlia wanted to round out the numbers with a fifth. However, from her position in the edge of the meadow, only four were tall enough to be visible in the rest of the wildflowers that filled the valley. Flowers never judged, and they never did much but indulge Dahlia's whims, only making her affinity for them ever growing. With a small pout, Dahlia casted her hopeful green gaze to the sky, almost taken in by the mesmerizingly simple way clouds seemed to float above it all. How wondrous it would be, to be a bird, wouldn’t it? The young kitten smiled before returning her attention to the reality of the ground, blinking around curiously as she looked for a higher and broader vantage point. Letting her short legs guide her to the nearest tree, the first branch wasn’t very hard to climb onto, but the second branch provided more difficulty. Dahlia huffed as she climbed on clumsily, panting before tilting her head at a startled bird on the branch beside her. Strange, how it didn’t fly away, and Dahlia gave it a rueful, albeit amused expression. Focusing back on her goal, her eyes scanned the meadow, trying to pinpoint a yellow dot just like the four she could already spot. Sunflowers were so pretty, and she wanted to be just like them. A big presence, always in the spotlight that was the sun, and basking in the glory and attention sunflowers could get from the shorter flowers all around them.

Early mornings had always been a favourite of Arachnidkit. Not because she particularly enjoyed waking early, oh not at all, but it always gave the ebony kit some time to daydream and recall her dreams from the prior night. With an imagination as vivid as hers, she's never gone a night without dreaming, whether they were dreams or nightmares. Aria was sat in the nest she shared with her sister and mother, a sleepy expression on her face as she let her sullen amber eyes travel around the nursery, before she rolled over. It was quite boring, the life of a kit. When she wasn't off on her own, imagining the endless fantasies that could never be reality in her head, her only pastime was playing make-believe with other kits. ‘Playing’ was quite an exaggeration though, for two reasons. One, to her, it was never a game. It really was an expression of character, of one's dreams. Second, she often had to explain countless times to other kits the rules of make-believe, and also why she would refuse simpler games like mossball or hide-and-seek. Aria scoffed. Where was the fun in that, when they could have so much more fun making up stories? / If kits enjoy listening to elders telling stories, you would think they'd be incredible at telling their own, / she sighed, a sulky pout on her face as she tidied up her side of the nest, expression dreamy and thoughtful.

The sky was just starting to darken as Arachnidpaw ducked out of the last of the trees near the outskirts of the territory. It was quite far from camp, and Aria wouldn't normally waste her breath going this far, spare for the first day she had done training with her mentor. Today though, as the early evening settled itself in the sky, Aria wasn't sure where she was going. She was going somewhere, that's for sure, but daydreaming never quite made the ebony apprentice very attentive. Alas, the negatives of such a vivid imagination. Ria hummed quietly as she walked, her head high as she stared thoughtfully up at the sky. At some point, she had been trying to track a bird, though that was long forgotten when it flew off. Well, it wasn't like Arachnidpaw hadn't been trying, they did start walking in the direction it flew off in, though perhaps that wasn't the only reason she walked this way. Emerging from the treeline, she paused, her head tilting as she regarded the area before her. More than just a dozen clusters of lilacs stretched out until Arachnidpaw could see sand, and their amber eyes widened with a mixture of amusement and delight. What a whimsical place this was, compared to the rest of the darker ShadowClan territory. Not that she didn't love it, Aria was quite proud of the clan she has grown up in since being brought here, but nothing quite catches her heart like a flower field, almost a perfect match to the settings she imagines in her mind.

Sunny looks up to Lavenderveil, and really would do anything his father asked him to. He is aware that his only real worth to Lav is the naivety he shows everyone in his act, and so he keeps it up, playing dumb for likely the rest of his life. He likes to pretend he is the favourite, even when he isn't, and spends a lot of his time either trailing Lav or just watching him when he can find time to be alone. After all, being popular and keeping up an arrogant and fanatical front is tiring.
With Batcharm, Sunlesskit is quite… cautious around him. More so than usual, considering he normally acts like there isn’t a care in the world. Just something about the dark-furred warrior makes Len nervous, even though Bo is so… nice. He knows that Bo seems harmless, always trailing Lav or Wolf, yet something in those glowing green eyes makes Len feel like he is always being watched, like Bo can see right through him. Because of this, he tries to limit interaction, but when he does need to, he pushes his act’s negative traits forward, acting like a spoiled brat and making Bo really work if the tom insists on his presence.
Wolfcrest is an interesting cat, and Sunny enjoys making conversation with him, though their interactions depend on whether Wolf tolerates the silly and naive kit or not. Sunlesskit is aware that the kind of leader Wolfcrest is was against everything Lavenderveil wants from Sunny, as the heir to the monarchy, so he watches the cold and quiet tom closely, using him as an anti-role model of sorts to see exactly what Lav wouldn’t want him to be like. However, he enjoys listening to Wolf talk, especially since their versions of “popularity” were so different, and Sunny admires the older warrior for having the courage to be disliked by so many.
Since Wildfloweraria is the closer one of his father’s two littermates, Sunny has always had an adoration for the warrior, almost rivalling the one he has for Lavenderveil. Flo is the type to indulge Len as much as the kit indulges himself, and he enjoys his uncle as a playmate whenever he can get him to stay. Sunny sees a lot of himself in Flo, as Wildflower is technically the extrovert among his two quieter and more serious siblings, and when Lav doesn’t need Len’s presence, he’ll often be found either trailing his father or his uncle.
Bloomingtale is Sunny’s quietest aunt, and also the most distant. That doesn’t stop Len from actively seeking the she-cat out though, quite fascinated by her silence and indifference to everything. It does make him question what made her the way she is, particularly why she seemed so much more distant than Wildflower and Lavender were, leading to him often either pestering the she-cat with his questions, or surprisingly enjoying the silence with her. While he can’t be sure Blooming isn’t judging him like he can with Triumphantkit, he knows that his aunt wouldn’t be the type to voice her opinion on him if she had one, so in a way, he can fall silent and not get questioned where his energy and optimism went.
Sunlesskit admires Divinitykit a lot, finding his sister’s confidence rather charming. He is unaware of her distaste for him, of course, and generally just treats the she-kit as his friendly sibling rival. Out of all his littermates, Ivie seems like the one who can keep up with him the best, and he is quite fond of her for that. He does envy how Diva seems so put-together, however, considering how much of a mess he is inside, and wishes he could be able to be what he is expected to be without needing to seem like a complete idiot with no seriousness or realism.
Out of all of his siblings, Triumphantkit is Sunny’s favourite. Now, he isn’t normally one to pick favourites unless really forced to, but something about Tria just makes Len feel safer, like he could actually have the chance to be himself around them. Of course, Len would never let down his act like that, no, as the heir, he was always being watched, but it makes him happy just knowing that perhaps in another world, Tria wouldn’t judge him for anything.
In Sunny’s outer facade, he adores his littermate, quite light and humorous with how he treats and interacts with his youngest sibling, though when he feels safe enough to even show capability for jealousy, he can’t help but envy Hereafterkit’s freedom and ability to just be who they wanted to be. Of course, he is unaware of what their father expects from Hereafter, though they’ve never felt uneasy of their quiet sibling, quite comfortable yet feeling a little distant due to how little their personalities overlapped.

Being Lav's heir seems really interesting, and I'd love to develop this character further than just that. I'd love to get a front-row seat to Lav’s plotline and legacy. I’d personally say I’m a good roleplayer, and I really do love getting to write and develop characters, especially in roleplays, where my own characters' stories can change from the unpredictability of the people I roleplay with. I have many characters who I have been able to give dramatic and fulfilling plotlines and lives, and I’d love to do the same for Sunless.

*ੈ⟡⋆⁺˖ ⸝⸝ rewritten - With a soft cream base coat adorned with patches of darker creams, gingers, blacks and light browns, Sunlesskit's name is perhaps a little misleading. He is perhaps all sunshine, from his demeanour down to his appearance itself. He has a sprawling sun-like marking on his lower back, covered with jagged brown stripes that cover other patches all over his face and body. His fur is a mix between swoopy and spiky, quick to obey gravity and curling in a way that mimics flames or sun rays. His bright eyes are mismatched, one a warm coppery bronze and the other a gentler ocean blue hue.

He's a bit more of a talker than a doer, enjoying sharing his ideas, though executing them was a different matter. A prince has others to do the dirty work for him though, isn't that correct?

Sunny isn't the type to be afraid of speaking his mind, as most extroverts are. Of course, skills like these aren't very practical in the cat world, but Len is still very proud of them and loves to hear his own voice. He has a tendency to talk to himself or anything he comes across through day-to-day life, especially his favourite way of entertaining himself is narrating his own life when he's alone.

Sunless may dislike physical touch, but that doesn't mean he is repulsed by affection. Quite the opposite, though honestly could you really crave attention and not enjoy a bit of affection as well. Len also enjoys showing his affection in many ways, whether that be a simple smile of pure delight or countless hours spent together, Sunny likes to make his love known. Often, he can quickly embarrass others with what comes out of his mouth, but most of the time he is genuine with his words. He knows how important they are, after all, and his cheeky way of words doesn't help him either.

He knows discipline though, and knows that most of the time, it's better to just follow orders and act out.

Sunlesskit treats life like an act where he always needs to fit into, though not quite into reality and more into the fanciful version of the world he sees. It's just built into him, and she often uses it to his advantage, dramatizing everything to benefit himself and bring himself comfort. Even though he isn’t regarded as the brightest cat, acting is something he excels at, and one of the few things he can play off properly. Everyone sees him as the dumb blonde sort of character, so he plays along with it.

Len has a very child-like and playful way he approaches life, taking everything in through a rose-tinted lens. He likes it when things go his way, though dramatic and interesting changes in life often capture his interest, and by extension, his heart. He is quite narrow-minded with this, stuck with the idea between heroes, villains, princes, and princesses.

Sunlesskit isn't the brightest cat, and compared to his littermates, he can be described as quite simple-minded, at least on the surface. Due to this, he has a less knowledgeable view of the world compared to others, leaving him quite innocent, happy-go-lucky, and blissfully ignorant of the cruelty of reality, comparable to sheltered or spoiled royalty, protected from everything. He sees the good in everything, and is very easy and quick to trust in others.

Sunny is pretty, and he knows it. He loves his appearance and takes a lot of pride in it, taking good care of his fur in an attempt to keep himself neat and presentable. After all, he is basically the face of the family, the star of the four littermates, so he must be the standard for the other three, or so he thinks. Ness tends to dawdle around by accident whenever he catches sight of his reflection, taking great and often almost reaching levels of obsessive precaution with his appearance. When others expect him to be this silly, naive and arrogant cat, it makes things so much easier for Len, since he already has so many other expectations. Cats don’t usually seek him out for advice, or confide in him, since they know him as this sheltered prince who has no issues in life, and he is perfectly alright with that. It just makes it easier for himself.

Of course, he often cannot comprehend these types of situations, so he is good at keeping up his confident front for the sake of appearances. He also easily gives in to his own whims, enjoying to indulge himself often to anything his mind thinks of. This, of course, makes Len appear very selfish, and honestly in a way, he is, though it really is the act he puts up for everyone. If it benefits himself, that’s a fun little side-effect he is more than happy to abuse.

Honestly, Sunny is vaguely aware of what goes on around him, what others think of him, and especially how his family views him. Whenever one of his siblings beat him in something, of course Sunny, as the cheery and incompetent prince, laughs it off, but really, Len often beats himself over the littlest things, as well as convincing himself that he needs to fix his act until one day, he won’t recognize himself anymore. If he could become exactly what everyone around him wants, he’d do it.

He is very hyperfocused subconsciously on doing what he is meant to do, what he is expected to do, and if he cannot be competent enough to do it, he keeps pushing through even when his relationship with the work becomes borderline toxic.

Len is the type to get overly emotional, excited, or obsessive over certain things that often inspire the critical and confused judgement of his peers. It could be really simple things, even just little things that catch his eye or distract him from reality, but once he gains a fixation, he won't let it go until he's fully wrung it dry. I imagine him getting quite a few hyper fixations throughout his lifetime, like perhaps a certain period of time in his apprenticeship where he becomes enraptured by birds, butterflies, and by extension, freedom through the borders of FateClan. These crazy ideas never last long, but they'll always be in the back of Sunny's mind, waiting to reappear one day.

He is incredibly family-oriented and adores his siblings, not quite fully understanding the intensity of their situation and how him being heir could easily make his littermates despise him.
- I think he is a strong contender for internalized homophobia, especially with his ideal that a prince should be with a princess, and by extension, the expectations for him as the perfect front for whatever his family is up to includes making himself a lovable and picture-perfect example of a cat, at least on the surface. This means it would be really fun for him to fall for a boy, or have a boy crush on him, only to make him become ever more confused with his role in life.
- He isn’t very smart, but I think deep inside, he can still tell that he doesn’t have much worth in life. Not in the eyes of his siblings, and not even in his father’s eyes. Gloaming didn’t normally venture alone, especially with how young he really was, but could he help himself? The world was, as far as he knew currently, absolutely beautiful, and he wanted to bring a piece of it with him to show his littermates, who didn’t seem to share his views and ideals. No matter, Glow can do things himself. Of course, he knew not to wander too far, it wouldn’t be good if he lost his siblings in the little miniature grove of the lavender fields that they had decided to camp out in after their mother left them in the safety of the tall flowers to hunt, or do whatever it is grown cats do. He didn’t exactly have much faith in their parents returning, surprisingly for him, but he liked to pretend that in another life, perhaps they could have had a beautiful life with them and their littermates. Speaking of their littermates, Glow returned his mind to his task at hand. At least in this point in time, he was a quiet and thoughtful daydreamer, blissfully unaware that he’ll be changing drastically in the future, and simply on a mission his little kit mind sent him on. Thinking of his siblings, he wondered idly what they would like. Darling loved pretty things and extravagance, while Campion and Fable were a little tamer with their preferences. Gloaming could work with what he had though.
Wandering a little farther, his fur was brushing against the tall stalks of lavender and he snuck a glance behind him, slightly alarmed that he couldn’t quite see their pile of sleeping siblings anymore, but he made his fur lie flat again. It’ll only be for a little… and anyways, this was better than having a pile of bodies sleeping right next to him anyway. As much as Gloaming adored his littermates, he still preferred to have his little bubble of space whenever possible. Looking back up at the sky, half-visible among the stalks of lavender, Gloaming had to wonder if there were any flowers other than lavender in the world. Surely, right?
Well, it really did seem like the lavender stretched on forever, but eventually Gloaming found it thinning out into just the green of grass, and he could see trees and the darkening sky in the distance. How pretty. If Gloaming had seen himself in a puddle before, then perhaps he’d be able to comprehend that one of his eyes mirrored the colour of the sky, but for now, he remained unaware, just appreciating how pretty it was. He remained transfixed in the scenery for a while, a soft smile blooming on his face. He had never seen a sunset properly before, fully surrounded by it rather than just through the canopy of the lavender he lived among, and he couldn’t think of anything more beautiful. It was truly spectacular.

One… two… three… four… four sunflowers so far amidst the meadows of floral life, towering over the rest as they reached for the sunlight like ivy creeping up a beanstalk. Four sunflowers, one for each warm brown paw, if the sweet chocolate-coloured kit were tall enough to actually reach the highest petals at their tallest height. Dahlia shivered for a moment when a stronger breeze whipped past her, making her soft kit fur ripple more than the gentle winds had been doing in the heartbeats before. Once the breeze passed, gentle green eyes opened once more, bright with curiosity. Four sunflowers… that really didn't seem like enough, did it? Dahlia wanted to round out the numbers with a fifth. However, from her position in the edge of the meadow, only four were tall enough to be visible in the rest of the wildflowers that filled the valley. Flowers never judged, and they never did much but indulge Dahlia's whims, only making her affinity for them ever growing. With a small pout, Dahlia casted her hopeful green gaze to the sky, almost taken in by the mesmerizingly simple way clouds seemed to float above it all. How wondrous it would be, to be a bird, wouldn’t it? The young kitten smiled before returning her attention to the reality of the ground, blinking around curiously as she looked for a higher and broader vantage point. Letting her short legs guide her to the nearest tree, the first branch wasn’t very hard to climb onto, but the second branch provided more difficulty. Dahlia huffed as she climbed on clumsily, panting before tilting her head at a startled bird on the branch beside her. Strange, how it didn’t fly away, and Dahlia gave it a rueful, albeit amused expression. Focusing back on her goal, her eyes scanned the meadow, trying to pinpoint a yellow dot just like the four she could already spot. Sunflowers were so pretty, and she wanted to be just like them. A big presence, always in the spotlight that was the sun, and basking in the glory and attention sunflowers could get from the shorter flowers all around them.

Early mornings had always been a favourite of Arachnidkit. Not because she particularly enjoyed waking early, oh not at all, but it always gave the ebony kit some time to daydream and recall her dreams from the prior night. With an imagination as vivid as hers, she's never gone a night without dreaming, whether they were dreams or nightmares. Aria was sat in the nest she shared with her sister and mother, a sleepy expression on her face as she let her sullen amber eyes travel around the nursery, before she rolled over. It was quite boring, the life of a kit. When she wasn't off on her own, imagining the endless fantasies that could never be reality in her head, her only pastime was playing make-believe with other kits. ‘Playing’ was quite an exaggeration though, for two reasons. One, to her, it was never a game. It really was an expression of character, of one's dreams. Second, she often had to explain countless times to other kits the rules of make-believe, and also why she would refuse simpler games like mossball or hide-and-seek. Aria scoffed. Where was the fun in that, when they could have so much more fun making up stories? / If kits enjoy listening to elders telling stories, you would think they'd be incredible at telling their own, / she sighed, a sulky pout on her face as she tidied up her side of the nest, expression dreamy and thoughtful.

The sky was just starting to darken as Arachnidpaw ducked out of the last of the trees near the outskirts of the territory. It was quite far from camp, and Aria wouldn't normally waste her breath going this far, spare for the first day she had done training with her mentor. Today though, as the early evening settled itself in the sky, Aria wasn't sure where she was going. She was going somewhere, that's for sure, but daydreaming never quite made the ebony apprentice very attentive. Alas, the negatives of such a vivid imagination. Ria hummed quietly as she walked, her head high as she stared thoughtfully up at the sky. At some point, she had been trying to track a bird, though that was long forgotten when it flew off. Well, it wasn't like Arachnidpaw hadn't been trying, they did start walking in the direction it flew off in, though perhaps that wasn't the only reason she walked this way. Emerging from the treeline, she paused, her head tilting as she regarded the area before her. More than just a dozen clusters of lilacs stretched out until Arachnidpaw could see sand, and their amber eyes widened with a mixture of amusement and delight. What a whimsical place this was, compared to the rest of the darker ShadowClan territory. Not that she didn't love it, Aria was quite proud of the clan she has grown up in since being brought here, but nothing quite catches her heart like a flower field, almost a perfect match to the settings she imagines in her mind.

Sunny looks up to Lavenderveil, and really would do anything his father asked him to. He is aware that his only real worth to Lav is the naivety he shows everyone in his act, and so he keeps it up, playing dumb for likely the rest of his life. He likes to pretend he is the favourite, even when he isn't, and spends a lot of his time either trailing Lav or just watching him when he can find time to be alone. After all, being popular and keeping up an arrogant and fanatical front is tiring.
With Batcharm, Sunlesskit is quite… cautious around him. More so than usual, considering he normally acts like there isn’t a care in the world. Just something about the dark-furred warrior makes Len nervous, even though Bo is so… nice. He knows that Bo seems harmless, always trailing Lav or Wolf, yet something in those glowing green eyes makes Len feel like he is always being watched, like Bo can see right through him. Because of this, he tries to limit interaction, but when he does need to, he pushes his act’s negative traits forward, acting like a spoiled brat and making Bo really work if the tom insists on his presence.
Wolfcrest is an interesting cat, and Sunny enjoys making conversation with him, though their interactions depend on whether Wolf tolerates the silly and naive kit or not. Sunlesskit is aware that the kind of leader Wolfcrest is was against everything Lavenderveil wants from Sunny, as the heir to the monarchy, so he watches the cold and quiet tom closely, using him as an anti-role model of sorts to see exactly what Lav wouldn’t want him to be like. However, he enjoys listening to Wolf talk, especially since their versions of “popularity” were so different, and Sunny admires the older warrior for having the courage to be disliked by so many.
Since Wildfloweraria is the closer one of his father’s two littermates, Sunny has always had an adoration for the warrior, almost rivalling the one he has for Lavenderveil. Flo is the type to indulge Len as much as the kit indulges himself, and he enjoys his uncle as a playmate whenever he can get him to stay. Sunny sees a lot of himself in Flo, as Wildflower is technically the extrovert among his two quieter and more serious siblings, and when Lav doesn’t need Len’s presence, he’ll often be found either trailing his father or his uncle.
Bloomingtale is Sunny’s quietest aunt, and also the most distant. That doesn’t stop Len from actively seeking the she-cat out though, quite fascinated by her silence and indifference to everything. It does make him question what made her the way she is, particularly why she seemed so much more distant than Wildflower and Lavender were, leading to him often either pestering the she-cat with his questions, or surprisingly enjoying the silence with her. While he can’t be sure Blooming isn’t judging him like he can with Triumphantkit, he knows that his aunt wouldn’t be the type to voice her opinion on him if she had one, so in a way, he can fall silent and not get questioned where his energy and optimism went.
Sunlesskit admires Divinitykit a lot, finding his sister’s confidence rather charming. He is unaware of her distaste for him, of course, and generally just treats the she-kit as his friendly sibling rival. Out of all his littermates, Ivie seems like the one who can keep up with him the best, and he is quite fond of her for that. He does envy how Diva seems so put-together, however, considering how much of a mess he is inside, and wishes he could be able to be what he is expected to be without needing to seem like a complete idiot with no seriousness or realism.
Out of all of his siblings, Triumphantkit is Sunny’s favourite. Now, he isn’t normally one to pick favourites unless really forced to, but something about Tria just makes Len feel safer, like he could actually have the chance to be himself around them. Of course, Len would never let down his act like that, no, as the heir, he was always being watched, but it makes him happy just knowing that perhaps in another world, Tria wouldn’t judge him for anything.
In Sunny’s outer facade, he adores his littermate, quite light and humorous with how he treats and interacts with his youngest sibling, though when he feels safe enough to even show capability for jealousy, he can’t help but envy Hereafterkit’s freedom and ability to just be who they wanted to be. Of course, he is unaware of what their father expects from Hereafter, though they’ve never felt uneasy of their quiet sibling, quite comfortable yet feeling a little distant due to how little their personalities overlapped.
