“are you sure giving her this role is going to be okay?” tsukasa asked, slightly confused. “the director's role is a big responsibility, and i'm not sure if i can handle it myself. after all, i'm the world future star that will do anything it takes to make the director proud!”
“of course you can't, tsukasa,” nene said in a low voice, to the point where the others could barely hear her, “but it's good to know you're being honest with yourself.”
rui grinned. “i’m sure emu will do just fine. fufu, who knows what kind of performances we’ll be able to do with her as the director?”
“it's only for today anyway,” nene added, “i for one think we shouldn't worry too much about her.”
“WONDAHOI~!!” emu popped up out of seemingly nowhere, causing tsukasa to stutter back and shriek. emu giggled. it was always nice to see her friends, whether they're in shock or not. “tsukasa-kun’s as funny as always, hehe~”
“so, emu-kun, what sort of show are we doing today?” rui asked, “i’m assuming you’ve prepared something special for us~?”
“hehe, yes i have!” emu replied excitedly, “i wrote my own play just for this occasion. it's perfect for the four of us- oh, and the mascots too, of course!” and with that, she started explaining the story to the rest of the wonder stage members.
“you want us to dress up a-as a-animals?!?” tsukasa stammered, “and do cartwheels across the stage?!?!”
“and we’ll sing and dance and go all sparkly and bright♪”
“uh, rui,” nene nudged her childhood friend, “is this what you had in mind when you decided to give her your usual job for a day?”
“ah, it seems as it is even more interesting than i expected, fufu~” nene saw the expression on rui’s face, the one he always had when he had a mischevious idea of sorts. “the show is going to be great, don't you worry…”
