The woman was crying. I watched her cry, her eyes bloodshot and tears streaking down her cheeks. A man walked up to her and asked if she was alright. She grabbed onto him and he hugged her speaking words I could not hear. I watched her face change into a face of pure delight and she sank her teeth into his vein in the back of his neck. The man slumped onto the ground. I laughed. This woman had just killed this man. Not just that. The man that had poison running through his bl00d. And then she turned and looked at me right in the eye, as her life seeped out of her eyes.

My eyes opened, and I dragged myself slowly out of bed.
“Desdemona! We're leaving! Get yourself to school soon!” A voice came from downstairs.
I groaned as my reply. The door shut a few seconds later. I pushed open the bathroom door, and looked at myself. Something was different. My senses were heightened and I looked a lot like how I had always wanted to look. I brushed my teeth slowly. They were hurting. Opening the shelves, I got into my school uniform and went downstairs. On the table was a cup of red juice, and some eggs. I hated that red juice, but I drank it anyway. Today, though, I was in love with it.
What happened to me?
I picked up my phone and called Mother.
“Mother?”
“Yes?”
“I look so different from last night!”
“I see…What does that have to do with anything?”
“I'll send you a picture. My teeth also feel kind of sore?”
“Oh.”
“What is that red juice you always give me?”
“Why do you ask?”
“I never liked it, and always left most of it behind as you know, but today I drank the whole thing before I could stop myself.”
“Did you hear that Wanir?”
“Hear what, Briar?”
They closed the speakers and murmured between themselves.
“Desdemona. Who. Did. You. Meet. Up. With. Recently.” Father seemed a lot more stressed than usual.
“I- I- can't remember.”
“Stay home from school. You are not leaving home until we get back from our business trip next week. I will tell your school.”
“What?! Why? What's going on?”
“Nothing. I can't explain it here. Just wait at home until we get back.”
They hung up.
I flopped onto my bed and tried to remember what happened in the last few days. This dark environment really wasn't helping me think.
Maybe I should go to the locations I went to in the last few days to try to remember..
I opened the curtains and screamed in pain. The sunlight hurt my skin. I pulled the curtains shut and sank onto the ground. That was new. Those few seconds in the sun both drained my energy and reminded me of a few things.

I was skipping down the street to go back home, trying to figure out how to ask Mother and Father if I could go over for a sleepover to my friend's house. When I got home I asked them if I could.
“Who —- —— —–”
“—- —- —- —-”
“That is —- fine. —- —- —- —-”
“— —- —-”
“You may go.”

I don't remember much of what happened while I got ready to go over.

When I got there, I was one of the first ones there. We waited for everyone else to arrive, and Veronica suggested we play truth or dare. We played multiple rounds.
I don't remember any of them- except the last one.

“Truth or Dare, Desdemona?”
“Dare…”
“Come with me after school tomorrow.”
“Dam- Vesper, I didn't think you wouldn't make such moves!” Carl gave him a shove.
Something was different about him. He never did something like that, even though people shipped us, he didn't like me in that way.
The next day after school, I refused to go with him. But, there was something he used to convince me. I can't remember it at all. We were walking back from school when he led me to the park instead. When I asked why we were going there, he said he had something to show me. There was a large rock where Vesper showed a gap and we went in. There was an eerie light that filled the room. On the walls were drawings made of red paint. Some of the red paint was fresh. It smelt slightly metallic. They were beautiful pictures.
Something was familiar about him… Something that I could sense. I didn't know how, but I could. It was an otherworldly feeling.
I watched him, and his eyes flashed in a orangish color. Suddenly-

I had taken Desdemona into the cave and inside, I showed her the pictures. She really liked them. I sensed a presence of a similar bl00d, but not exactly. I remember losing control of myself and biting into the exposed vein. She screamed. I start regaining control of myself. I was going let her d!e, but she did hold some powerful bl00d, and I ended up finishing the ritual. I scraped my wrist onto the walls, and it got large scratches. Thing is, since this is the magical shifting room, the scrapes turned into a bl33ding wound, the shape of a change. Now if someone asked me to show my wrist, It would show this mark which proves that I changed someone. If someone randomly scrapes their arm on the wall, nothing will happen. Someone had to be bitten a tiny bit ago and if they don't offer their bl00d, then the wound will just continue bl33ding until they d!e. I brought up my arm and held it close to her lips. Even though she was woozy and could barely stand on her feet, the sucked on my wrist and after a few seconds of pain, the wound closed and she stood there undergoing the transformation and then fell. That was kind of weak, to be honest. I didn't fall when changed. But, barely two seconds later, she vanished, and I left the room.

I opened my eyes.
Did I just watch a memory from Vesper's eyes?
I got up off the ground and left my room. I had to find out if this was true. There was one room my parents never let me go into. That was where I had to go. I had tried to open the door many times before, but I never could. This time, though, it opened easily. I walked into the room. It was a lot bigger on the inside. There, there were multiple books on vampires, there were other types of books too, and all sorts of random papers with information about different people. As I walked further into the room, I found multiple shelves with bottles of red liquid, which was probably bl00d. The thing that shocked me the most was the bottle that sat by itself on the newest shelf. A bottle with my name. When did they get my bl00d?
I went back to another part of the room where there were papers scattered everywhere and binders with names stacked around in different states. I picked up the newest looking binder and opened it.
Desdemona.
It was mine. And it was dated from earlier today…
Desdemona was bitten by another vampire. I could sense the new bl00d on her. She doesn't know, thankfully. We told them to do their council meeting without their Rose bl00d leaders. We are on our way to see if there is an antidote to turn her back. She could be the most influential human who convinces everyone vampires are not real, but first she needs to believe it. We also need to find out who bit her. Last night, I sucked out some bl00d, hoping that I could find out what bl00dline bit her, but I was unable to find out, but either way, we have her bottle. Her files are getting updated as she gets her memories back. Hopefully, she didn't try to open any windows or try to open the door to the vampire files.
I stared at the passage in shock. So, the red juice they gave me was from some victim… and if I liked it, they knew I changed…

I sat on my bed, formulating what I could tell them when they came home. The moment the came home, they handed me a bottle.
“Drink. It will help you remember the last few days.”
I smacked the bottle from their hand onto the floor, and the wood turned a shade of black.
“What the h3ll is that?!” I screamed. “That is not a memory medicine!”
They sighed. “Desdemona. There is a lot we have to explain to you.”
“I'm a vampire. I know. I remember everything alright,” I snapped. “It was Vesper.”
“Is his father Oliver?”
“Yeah?” I was confused. Suddenly, they weren't as worried?
They exchanged glances. “Desdemona. Vesper is part of the Bl00d Orange bloodline. You on the other hand are part of the Red Rose bloodline. That's not good.”
“I don't care. You kept this from me! Plus, it's not like you can do anything anymore!” I jumped up and was about to walk out of the house, but then realized the sun had come up and I had to go to school.
“The red juice-” I watched as mother went into the kitchen and poured me a glass. I took is slowly out of her hand and drank the whole glass. “It will protect you from the sun,” she handed me my school backpack.
I walked to school and Vesper stood there at the entry like he always did.
“Hey Vesper.”
“Hey Des. Are… you.. feeling better?”
“Yeah, thanks.”
We walked into the school in silence, where, as the day wore on, I could sense more and more vampires around.
When I told Vesper, he said we had to hone my abilities with him. We started meeting up at night to practice, and eventually other vampires from school caught on, and we started a club which we said that it was for roleplaying as vampires.
The thing with out club was that when we created it, we made it so that only the creator of the club could accept others. Vesper was the creator, since he could easily sense other vampires.
I closed the door as Vesper started our club meeting for that evening.
“The next generation of vampires are safe. Now what shall we do tonight?”
A knock at the door startled us.
Adrienne got up and opened the door.
“I knew I sensed a group of untrained children. Tomorrow is the full moon… Go home right now and tell your families that your initiation ceremony is tomorrow,” The man turned around and vanished into the shadows.
“What's the initiation ceremony?” I asked, confused.
“I forgot you're new to this thing, Des,” Dorian took a binder out of his bag. “This is the initiation ceremony.”
Some of the other crowed behind me to read it.
We went home a little bit later.
“Mother, during our club, a man came and told us the initiation ceremony is tomorrow,” I watched as worry crossed their face.
“Desdemona, you're not ready.”
“My friends are going!”
“They've known about this for longer.”
“We have been talking about everything! Plus there are some who we just converted recently!”
“Have you-”
“Yes,” I showed them the mark on my wrist. A mark of another bloodline. Again.
“Fine. But keep in mind, if you don't pass the ceremony, then you will be turned into a human or worse-”
Later that night, I called my friends.
“I just don't get it! Why are our parents suddenly so worried about converting? Vampires usually want to get as many of them as possible!” Rosceline was laying on her bed in her room.
“I don't know Ros, but we need to find out,” Panas had joined the call just then.

The next night, we stood there together. We had been given a cloak with a pendant which was our bloodline symbol. I didn't know that we were all different bloodlines. We were also given a few other items to stash in the folds of our magical cape.
“Oh… look everyone! There are some new kids! Look at how inexperienced they are in the art,” came a voice. I turned and looked at where the voice was coming from. There was a group of people, and in their hands were glowing items.
Silvester slid behind some of them, “That's my sister… And her friends. They're the ones who know what is going on. Unlike us..”
“That's not true Silv,” Ciarra patted his back.
“Yeah!” Enyo nodded. “We can make it past the ceremony!”
The man appeared in the center again.
“WELCOME EVERYONE! HERE, OUR NEWEST VAMPIES WILL GO THROUGH THE CEREMONY TO BECOME FULL FLEDGED VAMPIRES!”
Everyone just politely clapped. The man seemed undeterred by that and continued. “NOW, PLEASE GET INTO GROUPS OF 3!”
I flinched, his voice was incredibly loud. The 9 of us stared at each other before sorting ourselves into groups.
“We're not going to stop each other from passing, correct?” Enyo was biting their lip.
“No, never,” Silv gave them a hug.
“NOW, SINCE there are more of you than I thought there would be- THREE GROUPS SHOULD COMBINE INTO ONE LARGE GROUP!”
We merged into a large group and someone came over and we were told to showcase our skills and do whatever we had learnt. Most of what we did was not what usual vampires were able to do, but there were some things that we did that most vampires didn't.
We had to jump off buildings and turn into bats and fly. Demonstrate our biting technique, and see out way to hide from the sun, and any other things we were able to do. Then we were told to show our vampire magic.
“We don't know any…” Dorian muttered.
Adrienne placed one hand in other and soon we were holding hands.
“Focus. We have to try,” she said, slowly. The man was staring at us, confused.
I focused all my power or whatever I could into making magic.
A few seconds later, I felt something powerful burning my skin. I opened my eyes, and saw the others were staring at the magical thing in fear.
“Interesting…” The man came over and tried to do something, but failed. We dropped our hands, and some magic came flying over to us. I understood. A bubbling sensation was at the bottom of my stomach.
My light was crackling with red electricity. Our heads turned. A group of people, policemen, surrounded us.
“Hands up!”
I, in fear, aimed the electricity at one of them. As it flew at them, it grew in size and when it struck them, the fell, sizzling with red electricity. The rest of our group start aiming their electricity balls at the humans.
The man watched as all the police members lay there, unmoving.
“Well then, great. Alright, get up! Transform back!”
I watched as all the police members got up, bowed and turned into bats.
“What was that?!” Ros asked.
“A bunch of powerful vampires changed bats into police members. They're over there, resting right now.”
“Let us now, award the vampires who passed!”
The man walked over to our group and pinned the official pendant for our bloodline onto our cloaks. It was amazing. It was for how we reacted. The others passed for other reasons. There were a few who didn't pass.
“You know what's weird?” Vesper spoke up.
“What?” Panas was admiring the pendant.
“Our magic is nothing like the magic from our bloodline…”
“The legend of the blue bloodline. What if our magic is that!?” Ros' eyes sparked. “Mr.? I believe I'm part of the blue bloodline.”
“Well, if that is the case, go find the original bloodline holder and claim your true bloodline,” he replied curtly, annoyed.
“What are you doing?” I hissed. “We just passed the ceremony, are you trying to screw us up?”
“Then don't come,” Ros started rising up into the air.
Silv, Dorian and Vesper rose up too. I shifted from one foot to another but before I knew it, I was in the air.
“Lead the way, Ros,” I sighed.
We flew for ages, and as the sun came up, we landed and drank some red juice, to protect ourselves from the sun and continued walking.
“Ros, how do you know which way you're going?” Vesper asked.
“I don't. Silv is leading the way,” she pointed at Silv who was ahead of her and held a compass.
Silv stopped in front of a rock. “Granted, I could be wrong, but I think that they might be in there.”
We tried to find a door of some sort to enter the cave. Vesper stood behind us, watching us fail for like 10 minutes.
“Vesper! Would you mind helping?” Dorian exclaimed, annoyed.
“Whatever,” he walked up, touched something and it opened.
On the inside, sat a young woman. She had silky black hair with jewels in a large chamber with black, shadowy figures nearby. In her hand was a scepter and on her hand, a glowing ring.
“Excuse me?” Vesper shifted slightly.
She faced us, her eyes sad and hollow.
“Ros,” Dorian nudged her.
Silv and I hung in the back, looking around.
“We heard the legend about the blue bloodline and want to know if it's true. Our magic is completely different from everyone else's in our bloodline.” Ros timidly walked forward.
“Oh…” Her eyes looked more faraway than any of us could ever imagine.
“If you decide not to tell us, it's alright,” Silv said from right next to me.
“It's alright. I will explain. Long ago, in another type of world, I was casted away since my bl00d color was different from all the others. I later found others who had that same color of bl00d and we moved away. There, we embraced that our bl00d color was different and that was alright. It caused us to go through a change. Later I learnt that as time went on, some people got special traits and combined with some magic, vampires. The thing is, some people still have the original bl00d. The most powerful bloodline. The blue bloodline. This little glowing ring changes the symbol of the ones who are part of my bloodline to keep them safe from what used to cause the bloodline to d!e out. People were jealous of the power this bloodline held. I think it is time we open that bloodline again.” She smashed the ring jewel with her heel and I glanced down at my pendant. It changed to the symbol of a blue moon. I looked at the others who were here, their pendants had changed too.
“I'll send you back,” she smashed her scepter on the ground and before I knew it, we were back.
There, as soon as we reached, she was there too. She explained everything. She created everything that all the other bloodlines had. The houses, the magical properties, everything.
I stepped into the new club meeting room and Adrienne closed the door behind me.
“So.. What shall we do tonight?”
