Fanfiction Entry for Writing Contest:

Authors Note: This is an SWC fanfiction, with hints from my book series I'm writing about Phoenix and the Magkoas, as well as Flameshadow Village, the realm that stores all my ocs, on my alternate account @-Flameshadow_Hybrid- . Is it possible to make a fanfiction of your own work? I don't know, because technically this is not canon, but it could be XD. Regardless, enjoy, and a special thanks to the many people (hosts, my cabin leaders, and participants in the Apple war) who I kidnapped for this XD.

A Magkoa in SWC

Before Camp:

In a Small Room:
Three girls sat together, glancing at a small portal they created. They knew other leaders were doing the same, getting ready for SWC.

“Together?” one of them said.
The other girls nodded. One of the girls spoke up. “After all, what could go wrong? They won't find our secret. They'll be distracted by the writing prompts and the normal chaos. Everything will go great,” she said, reassuring herself, and the other two girls.
“You're right Sienna. They will never know,” the final girl replied. Then the three jumped through the portal.

In a Different Realm:
“We are behind schedule! Get the portal frame up!” a blond girl yelled.
Another blond girl chuckled. “Calm down, Phoe. You'll be fine. Most people don't worry about a fancy portal system to get them to camp.”
Phoenix shook her head. “I know Char, I'm just stressed. I've got Beta starting, an essay due in two weeks, you can blame Cardinal for that, SHC to think about, a band to help, music to lead, two countries to protect, and way too many things to do. Besides, Flameshadow Village is a mess,” she said, barely taking a breath.
Charlotte sighed, rubbing her head. “Phoe… you're going to do great at Beta, you won't have any issues with your essay, your music is fine, your countries are fine, SHC will be fine. And you are the one who authorized the renovations of the village after your SWC application this time around, so you're the one responsible for the mess,” she said.
Phoenix sighed. “I guess you are right…” Phoenix said, as a portal opened in the freshly completed portal frame. “I don't know….” she said, glancing at the portal.
“Go!” Charlotte said, shoving Phoenix into the portal. Phoenix let out a small scream as she flew through the portal. Charlotte's eyes widened as she realized what she had done. “She's going to kill me,” she said, before running through a portal labeled, 'Squad Base."

In the Host Realm:
A group of people looked at each other. “Time to unlock the main cabin,” one said. The others nodded. “This session is going to go great!” another said. They all nodded, and Starr turned the key in the lock.

Camp:
Deep in Fairy Tale Cabin:
Phoenix sighed, finishing a daily, turning it into the main cabin turning it into the main cabin turn-in box. She had mostly taken her human identity, Chloe, as most people just chose to call her that. She was enjoying camp, interacting with her cabin leaders and others in her cabin. She had been there for three days because of Charlotte.
“She is so done once I get back to the village,” she whispered to herself.
“What?” Sienna said, looking up.
Chloe just smiled. “Oh… nothing. Just talking to myself,” she said, walking deeper into the woods. As she was walking, she began to hum a song.
“Pretty,” a voice said, from behind a tree.
Chloe's eyes widened. “Who's there?” she demanded, reaching for her bow, before realizing she left it at the cabin.
“Just me,” an older lady said, stepping out from behind a tree.
“Who's me?” Chloe retorted.
The lady just smiled. “It doesn't matter. Hey, I've got some apples. Do you want them?”
Chloe shrugged. “Sure!” she said, taking the bag.
The lady grinned, then vanished. Chloe shrugged, grinning, knowing she could start some chaos. She went back to the cabin, grabbing her bow and some of her jewels, which she had plenty of. She was one of the wealthiest members of her cabin. She then grabbed an apple, hiding the rest under her bunk. Finally, she walked out to Sienna. “Hey. Are these jewels edible or should I eat this apple I got from an old lady in the woods?” Chloe asked innocently.
Sienna gave Chloe a weird look. “You can spend your jewels in the marketplace…”
Chloe grinned. “So the apple is ok?”
“Wait, no, what? Give me that!” Sienna said, alarmed.
Chloe laughed, jumping away from Sienna, before sprinting for the main cabin.
“STOP! I'M TRYING TO PROTECT YOU!” Sienna yelled. “No…no…no….Alana and Amethyst are going to kill me for this! I might have to switch to my Tinkergoat form to dispose of the apple….the campers won't find out….right?” she whispered to herself, before sprinting after Chloe.

Main Cabin:
Chloe sprinted into the main cabin, knocking over a stack of thesauruses and sending a stack of blank notebook paper flying into the air. Several campers who had been peacefully lounging around in the main cabin looked up alarmed. “Help!” Sienna's trying to steal my apple!“
Three campers rose up, ready to assist Chloe. ”What's going on?“ Mouse of Dystopian asked.
”Why is Sienna taking your apple?“ Twi of the Sci-Fi cabin asked.
”Where did you get the apple?“ Nova of Myth wondered out loud.
”I got it from an old lady in Fairy Tale Woods,“ Chloe said, shrugging.
”WE'RE IN SNOW WHITE'S STORY! THE APPLE IS POISONED!“ Sienna shouted, sprinting in.
Twi and Mouse started laughing hysterically. ”Eat it, Chloe!" Mouse yelled, diving into Sienna's way to protect Chloe's apple.
Nova's eyes widened. “No! Don't!”

The next few minutes were a flurry of activity. Chloe noted, that during the war, Sienna would disappear and Tinkergoat would appear. At one point, Tinkergoat stole her apple, but Chloe managed to grow an apple tree secretly, using her earth Magkoa powers, and pluck an apple from that. Eventually, Chloe ended up in a tree, eating her apple, and watching the chaos unfold. She carefully documented each detail, so she would have proof to bring back home. After a bit, things settled down, Toads and Mangos started getting involved, and Chloe silently slipped out of the tree, rushing back to the Fairy Tale cabin to record lyrics for the anthem dailies they had been given.

In the Host Realm:
The six hosts stared in shock at the chaos unfolding in the main cabin. “How…why?” Luna said, in a confused tone. “This is like chaos on top of our normal chaos…it's only day three…what's happened?”
Watching, Starr chuckled. “Chloe happened. She started it.”
Robin looked confused. “But she's been in our camp for over a year, with her first session being November 2022. She was in Hi-Fi, remember? She participated quite a bit at the beginning, and kinda tampered out after that,” Robin said.
“She's applied for leader for a year straight,” Luna added.
“But here's the thing. Her activity wasn't the highest in the last few sessions. She didn't really talk much. Suddenly something changed. She's now knee-deep into camp…I think we are seeing a bit of her true, hidden colors.” Starr said.
Moss chuckled. “If what you are saying is true…then I think we are looking at a very chaotic session…overall.”
The other hosts nodded, again looking at the chaos of the main cabin.

In a Different Realm:

“I'm glad you came to visit. I've been worried sick! What if you had gotten lost in Branson during Beta!” Diamond complained to Phoenix, who had just emerged from the portal now labeled, ‘SWC MARCH 2024’.
“I'm fine. I can take care of myself. Elemental Magkoa, who has spent quite a bit of time training in various fighting techniques, who also never gets lost, remember? Besides, when in doubt, I could always call Rusty.” Phoenix reassured him.
Diamond shook his head. “Are you at least having fun so far?” he asked.
“Yes. I know I have to go back to school tomorrow, so now I've got to balance school, my duties for the Magkoa-Wysterian Empire, and SWC. But…I think I can do it. In fact…I know I can do it. I have more motivation now than ever. Come on…I'll tell you about it in my palace.”

The two walked to the palace, where they were joined by a sheepish Charlotte, as well as a few other advisors.

“So I may have started a war…” Phoenix began.
“ANOTHER ONE?” Diamond said, shocked.
"Not like a war with the States. Or with the Dark Tribe. Or with my sister. No…a chaotic war. An apple vs. toad war. A fun world. You know what? I can be myself around these people. I can forget about everything and be my chaotic, daydreaming self. I don't have to worry about wars or fighting here. I don't have to worry about people betraying me…and if they betray me, it's just in a fun, chaotic sense. No, they made a big mistake. They just accepted me as one of their own. And you know me. I'm faithful to my group. Loyal. It's the reason my people like me. The reason my squad trusts me. The reason I got drum major in band. I stick with my group and won't leave them for anything. I don't know if that was the biggest mistake of their life, or if it was the best choice of their life. But they have to deal with me now. Not the halfway interested, mostly distracted Phoenix of the last sessions. All. Of. Me.
The other people in the room just watched in shock. “I don't think she breathed one time,” Charlotte said.
Phoenix just laughed. “I'm a band kid after all!”
The room just merged into laughter, that gave way to chatter, as they talked about the future of SWC, random Magkoa stuff, and more.

Deep in the Fairy Tale forest:
“GURTLE! GET BACK HERE!” one camper cried.
“COME BACK WITH OUR LINK!” another said.
A whole group of campers sprinted after the small turtle, who was running away with a cunning look on its little turtle face. Suddenly, it found a portal deep in the woods and leaped through it. The campers all leaped after it.

In a Different Realm:
Gurtle ran into Flameshadow Village, quickly getting lost in the various styles of houses and characters. The campers just stood at the entryway to the portal, staring at all the other portals and looking at the houses, and the large castle in the distance.
“Where are we?” one said.
“And what was that portal doing in Fairy Tale Forest?” yet another one said.
“And where's Gurtle?!”
